I have been wanting to try EggTown for a long time. We stopped once but the wait was soooo long we left. This time it was about 1 in the afternoon and there was only one other couple in the restaurant. That was nice. It was clean and cute decor. Our server was very nice, actually she seemed a little over the top nice. I guess that's better than a bad server. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy and I ordered to steak omelet. My husband said his food was great and the portion was very large. I asked for American cheese in my omelet but they put cheddar in it. Also the steak omelette should have had mushrooms so I opened it and no mushrooms. I was given the meat lovers omelet. Everyone makes mistakes so it wasn't a huge deal. The server brought me out some mushrooms and took 10% of the bill for the wrong omelette. The omelet was good, not great. Maybe I just love Waffle House omelets too much. The potatoes on the other hand were delicious. My portion was very large as well. The food was tasty and a big portion but when I get breakfast I don't think of an $18 omelette. I am in no way saying it was in anyway a bad experience and I would go back to try other items. We saw this little spot a few weeks ago and decided to come today before grocery shopping after church. It's not a large restaurant but probably seats around 25 parties of 4 with ability to make larger stables. We didn't take any photos of our food because we were hungry and got right into it lol. The menu has a lot to offer but isn't crazy extensive or overwhelming. They offer your typical brunch fare like omelettes, Benedict's, Sammies, salads, traditional breakfast options and some specialities along with a variety of sides and beverages. Orange juice was fresh squeezed and delicious. They also offer black iced coffee without stuff added which was a bonus selling point for me. We split a grilled blueberry muffin - delicious, served warm with butter. Hubby got a croissant sandwich with egg and bacon and added extra bacon, daughter got a waffle sausage sandwich (very big for her to eat so a lot came home with us) and I got chicken and waffles Benedict. Everything came out quick and accurate and was served with potatoes and onions. All our food was very good and cooked really well. I've been here about 4 years ago. Decided to come back and have a breakfast date with my daughters. We had a nice time together and a really good meal. I had on this visit the Bagel Sandwich which comes with bacon, a fried egg and American cheese. It was outfitted with the house made potatoes. Everything was really good. And I love that their coffee is hot and fresh. My youngest daughter had the breakfast burrito. And my oldest daughter had the breakfast with biscuits and gravy. We were quoted a 10 minute wait for a table for two, however we only waited 2 minutes before being seated. The decor is modern with a bright atmosphere. It really does not stand out, as it feels like a copy of other breakfast restaurants. The menu is extensive, specializing in breakfast classics like eggs Benedict and omelettes, but also including lunch sandwiches such as the Reuben and hamburger. The server was efficient and had a pleasant attitude. We ordered the EggTown skillet to share and it was plenty of food for two people. I think it was a great value at $15. The dish looked amazing and was very satisfying, however I feel it was lacking flavor. I felt the need to douse it in hot sauce and ketchup that is kept at each table. I always enjoy some hot sauce on my breakfast eggs and potatoes, but I feel that the dish should stand on its own without it. Service was slow and food took a long time to come out. Our food was lukewarm when we got it. Server Donna was amicable but frankly quite slow. She was preoccupied with other things / tables and would forget to bring out the drink order or what we had requested, so we had to repeat our request more than once. The Wesley Chapel location in comparison is quick to serve, food comes out piping hot and the servers tend to be top tier. I think we'll stick with the Wesley Chapel location. Came here with my friend for breakfast. She loves the location in Brandon but this one is closer to between us. Walked in and seated quickly. Greeted by our server quickly. I got hot tea which came out in a cute tray with the cup and tea pot. Then they had a box of tea for you to choose your selection. Very cute presentation. Water was not hot enough for the tea so it had literally no flavor. For breakfast she ordered the salmon Benedict and I ordered the corned beef hash. They both came out and for the cost mine had little hash and was mostly the side of potatoes which weren't hot. I still ate mine. Friend's food was drowning in sauce and so salty she couldn't eat it. We called the server over and she took the food back and took a different order of food for some GF waffles. The reorder took FOREVER to come out. Eggtown is a great spot for breakfast or brunch! Located in the old Boston Market building (I believe), it has plenty of free parking and a cozy vibe. The service was a team effort between the hostess and server, and they managed well, though a busser would've been helpful. We tried the crab cake Benedict, sausage and gravy, and loaded French toast (toppings on the side: whipped cream, blueberries, and strawberries). The portions were huge--definitely worth the money! I ordered the Italian Omelette which includes sausage, green peppers, potatoes, onions and provolone cheese with toast served open faced. There were plenty of toppings with the omelette and very filling. Trent was our server and very attentive. They say us apart from others as one of our party preferred to be outside for COVID protection, but it was a bit warm outside. I had to take away a star as there was an up charge for changing the toast for multigrain bread and bagel on two orders and modifying the ham to bacon on the Benedict. I do not mind the up charge as long as the server lets me know when I am ordering so it is my decision when I am ordering. Luckily we were seated right away :)) The bacon was a bit crispier than I like, but it was still pretty tasty. The french toast was excellent and filling. The potatoes weren't my favorite solely because I felt that they could've cooked them a little more because they were a bit hard and cold, but good flavor. My husband and I had an errand date this past Saturday to Tampa and arrived during breakfast. Hungry and not knowing where to go - Yelp to the rescue! We found The Brunchery just a few minutes from where we needed to be, right off of I-75 and Bruce B. Downs Blvd. They are open for dining in (and take out/delivery) and we were sat immediately. All of the staff were very pleasant and polite people, efficient and helpful - never neglected but they didn't hover. We chose not to have coffee, but stuck with water, but the coffee smelled very good here. I think we were the only ones not drinking it. (Water comes with lemon, so if you don't want that, you need to tell them immediately.) Giant chalkboard on one wall with specials had us drooling, but I had already spotted the BLT Avocado Omelette on the menu and any other tempting item couldn't lure me away from that. It took my husband a lot longer to choose. Our food arrived promptly, hot and very fresh. My omelette came with seasoned potatoes, but I asked if they could substitute anything else, and they had choices of grits, tomatoes, and. fruit cup (up-charge for fruit) so I chose tomato. The tomatoes were lovely and super fresh. Oh, there was a biscuit on the side that was light and very fluffy. The BLT Avocado Omelette itself was a treat. It was a spinach omelette with Swiss cheese, topped with another tomato, bacon, more cheese, and avocado. The omelette on the bottom actually stayed hot longer that way, with the cooler items on top instead of being stuffed inside. My husband ordered The Brunchery Benedict, which was poached eggs, ham, mushrooms & Swiss. I had a bite and it was delicious. The hollandaise sauce was perfect. He had the seasoned potatoes with his. I tasted those as well, delicious and he agreed, but there was a lot of them (and that Benedict was very large) and he said he wished he had substituted tomatoes for his as well. The prices were great for the amount of food we received. We talked about how we wished there was one of these close to home in Lakeland because there were SO many things on the menu we would love to try - and we didn't even look at the lunch menu!
