My first time trying Waffle House! Is Waffle House supposed to be the greatest breakfast of all time? No. Is it surprisingly good? Yes. This place tastes the same as IHOP and Denny's - nothing great but definitely not bad. Ordered the All-Star special (2 eggs over easy, hash brown, bacon, and waffle). Eggs and toast were good, hash browns could've been crispier and bacon could've been less crispy but the waffle was great. It tasted more like a pancake but it was good. I come here infrequently when my wife isn't with me. First of all the people are very nice. Service is above average. The ambiance is below average. Seems like the place could use a good cleaning. And most of all the food is average at best. Not great, but not bad. Basically you get what you pay for. For me it's better than McDonald's and only a couple of dollars more. read more

Ok before you come at me for my review - it's Waffle House. You can't expect the place to be spotless or the workers to be overly friendly. That being said, the Wentzville location in particular is almost always clean and the staff is always nice. The food is typical WH food - so if that's what you're not looking for go elsewhere. To me, there's nothing better than a late night all star platter, so I will continue to visit. read more

My wife refuses to go here so I went when I was alone. My mistake. Breakfast is saturated in grease. The food cannot be more unhealthy. I ate half my breakfast, paid and left. The please both feels and looks like it could use a good cleaning. The counter where I sat was wiped down with a mildewed rag. I had to move after I first sat down. Honestly, the wait staff works hard. I admire their effort. But, most looked like they slept in their clothes. There seems to be no grooming standards. I figured out that other breakfast places nearby cost about $2 more for a much better meal. I won't be returning. read more

Sitting at the counter we watch for 20 minutes as the staff argued with each other, then took turns telling us why our bad service was someone else's fault. It's a Waffle House. What more is there to say? Food and atmosphere is exactly what you expect. Grab a cheap waffle or two, some hash browns, and you'll be totally satisfied. Food is not incredible, nor is it meant to be. Service is friendly every time I've been. The food was pretty consistent for Waffle House. The hygiene and cleanliness of employees at this store was terrible. You can't really focus on your food when you're focused on how they clean tables. The hostess wiped the table and the chairs with the same towel -dropped the towel on the floor and continued to clean the table with the same towel. You might be thinking "it's a Waffle House, what do you expect?" I'm paying money for a service, so I expect hot food, a clean establishment, and good service. There are other locations that do offer this (Florissant and St. Charles), I went to the Wentzville location because it was closer at the time and I was hungry! read more

So, went there because it was fast and cheap. In and out in 20 minutes. Crazy!! And the flavor was every bit as good as any other breakfast place where you'd wait forever and pay a lot more. Also, the staff is also great and very friendly. I've been to several, some of which where smoking is still allowed in a restaurant. The one i visited this time was a no smoking restaurant, but it was clear that the staff was smoking in the back room. Every time the door opened you could smell the smoke. I will never be going to this Waffle house again! Two waitresses should be more than enough to staff a waffle house, especially when it is not full. We came in with 13 people, and we all split into 5 tables. One of our tables was never even serviced, and when they caught the attention of one waitress, she said its not my table and walked away. She never even mentioned it to the other waitress. Then, when it came time to pay several of us were overcharged. When we tried to speak with our waitress about the bills we got lots of attitude.
