Ellebee's General Store is located on Main Street in Wentzville, Missouri, and it's exactly what you would expect from a charming old-fashioned general store. They have all kinds of knickknacks, nostalgic candy, and items you probably haven't thought about since you were younger. It's the kind of place where you can walk around and keep discovering something new. Our favorite part, though, is the boba and coffee drinks! My daughter begs to go to Ellebee's every time we're in town. I usually order the Lavender Brown, which is almost like an Arnold Palmer. It combines tea, lemonade, a little lavender, and honey boba. I swear, this drink is amazing! My daughter usually gets something with mango, and she's always happy with her choice. We also picked up a bear claw and a doughnut, both of which disappeared pretty quickly because they were so delicious. The store continues to grow, rearrange, and find new ways to support the community, which is really nice to see. As long as they keep their signature drinks, we'll always be happy customers and will continue coming back! read more

Super cute general store! I didn't love my breakfast sandwich but I would definitely come back and try something else or grab a tea or smoothie! read more

Cute little shop. Stopped by to try their coffee and avocado toast. Price is decent for the portion and service was fairly quick. Coffee was sweet so I couldn't really taste it as much. I would probably stop by again just to try the coffee on its own. read more

Love the macarons! Had them for my birthday last year & I might have to stop by again.

Very good garlic!!! Amelia is the best. I'm going there a lot with my grandmother for now on.

Hubby and I were in Wentzville and he was looking for a coffee, preferably from a local source. We Yelped it and found Ellbee's. It was easy to locate with decent parking. The store itself is like a coffee/candy/small gift shop. There is quite a bit of variety on all accounts. Hubby really enjoyed the coffee and the variety of coffee's. He also ordered a red velvet macaroon that we both tried and it was delicious! The candy selection really impressed me with all the variety. read more

This place was such a surprise to me!! Downtown Wentzville. Great food! Waitresses were very nice!! We'll be back!!

We stopped in to check out their coffee menu and to pickup some chocolates. Wow! They had a great coffee menu! I had the red hawk which is a raspberry mocha with 3 espresso shots! It was the perfect drink to wake me up. They also have a great store for chocolates, coffee and great gifts! Most of the chocolates are weighed by the pound but some (like turtles) are sold by the each. My opinion, they were a tad high. But I saw something I've never seen before... chocolate covered potato chips! They were amazing! read more

Inside is super cute! Lots of little trinkets and things to buy, along with some candy to make your own candy bag. Loved the little macaroons I got, pretty expensive to be honest but they're cute and good. All the people were very helpful when it came to deciding what to get. I got a drink with boba in it, also expensive but yummy as well! read more

Food is awesome, I usually get the bacon egg and cheese bagel for breakfast and a grilled cheese with tomato soup for lunch. The staff that work there are as nice as can be and leave you nice notes with your food when you take out. Store is clean, nice place to sit down and have lunch. 10/10 has a great selection of candy, drinks, food, and more. read more

As Old Town Wentzville goes through a rebirth, what else would you need but a General Store? Ellbees General Store is attractively decorated both inside and out. Upon entering Ellbees General Store you are immediately with the aroma of fresh roasted coffee. In large class jars a selection of imported coffees is the first nostalgic look at the past.. Ellbees General Store has self-serve bulk candy, snacks, preserves, and a few other items. In the back of the store there is both a coffee bar and a soda bar. There is a little bit of everything to bring back memories or visions of what a general store may have been like in years past. This General Store is more like a tourist destination and not filled with many daily use items. The next time you are visiting Old Town Wentzville, make a pit stop at Ellbees General Store, you will not be disappointed. read more

Oh ehm geee, this place is adorable, and the owners make it even more fun to stop in. Another gem found, thanks to Yelp! In search of a coffee and milkshake after paintball, we strolled over to the old downtown part of Wentzville, finding ample street parking on a Sunday in front of the general store. Inside, there's something for everyone, young or old, sweet or savory. For those in a rush, the countless options of candy or sodas may seem overwhelming at first. However, the selection of retro candies is worth enjoying from a nostalgic chunk of time, as is the various flavors of bottled soda behind the counter. There's even some sugar free candies, bars, taffy, pretty much everything. After a good coffee, I was pleased to see the various roasts of fresh beans they had for sale, as well as a very large menu in the back of so many yummy-sounding latte combinations. Sometimes it's usually just sugar free vanilla at smaller shops, but the General Store nails it yet again with somewhere between 8-12 different sugar free flavors for us watching our glucose. I was a little undecided on my first trip in, so the owner helped me pick by asking if I wanted fruity or more chocolatly. After a quick amount of questions, she suggested the toasted marshmellow latte on ice, which was INSANE yummy. I basically gulped the thing down, appreciative she took the time to help me find something so delicious. My husband got a chocolate shake, and since he's a legit shake-snob of many years, I trust his judgement - his opinion is the most balance comes from a vanilla base, with chocolate added, which the General Store was happy to follow, and boy did it turn out good. I don't know how many variables there are to really messing up a shake, but my Husband was very happy with the thickness, flavor, and size. We've since been back several times, and each time is no less pleasant than our first. We love this little shop and supporting some wonderful small business owners. TIP: They make and sell a garlic paste that is out of this world. We get the spicy flavor, but we don't really think it's THAT spicy- it's got some seasonings mixed into it and really kicks up our savory dishes, and we love throwing a little spoonful into our stirfry too. read more

Ellbee's is a mix of good and bad. I have visited the store several times over the last couple of years, thinking "I'll give them another chance". I think I've finally had it. For starters, they have yummy chocolate and candy treats, neat nick knacks, and lots of items on their menu to choose from. Actually never tried the garlic but it looks good. However... all of the items for purchase are on the more expensive side. I mention this because there is a certain brand of soap that they stock in Ellbee's and charge $7 a bar for, when I can find that bar in other stores for $5 a bar. Same with the oils, bath salts, and CBD. The nick knacks are all over priced in my opinion as well. Can find the same "unique" items at any other store for $1-2 cheaper. The dog treats they supply (I was a former employee of the company name that is on the dog treats) are priced $1-2 higher than other retail stores that stock the brand. Another complaint is the lunch specials. Time and time again I've ordered lunch at Ellbee's only to be disappointed. Whether it's because I've received chips that are fried so dark they look burnt, getting the bottom of the bag crumbs of chips as a side, or receiving a lunch special that was just plain gross... either way, I don't believe the lunch is worth $8-12. And also. The "frappe" drinks that are listed all sound so unique and delicious. But did you know that you have to ask for a shot of Espresso in order for the "frappe" to have any coffee in it? And the shot is an extra $1 on top of the price of the drink. A 16oz drink will cost you roughly $8. I can get a drink at Starbucks cheaper than that. And for the unique tastes and spins on their drinks, half the time they aren't blended thoroughly so there are large chunks of ice impeding the drinkability of the "frappe"(I'm sorry I refuse to call their drinks "frappe" if there is not coffee in them unless you ask to add a shot of espresso. Frappe literally means iced coffee drink!!!) The boba tea is not authentic tea, it is juice mixed together. Again, you can't call something one thing when it's a different thing entirely. The misleading labeling of their items makes it confusing when ordering. The prices aren't comparable to other places in the area, and the quality of the products definitely doesn't speak to a business that has pride in what it offers to the public. Unfortunately I have to give Ellbee's a 2 star because of these factors and I don't want to keep being disappointed. read more

I love their lavender grey tea AND the iced chia latte. My kids are crazy over this place. Their muffins are also so yummy!

Cute place to go for unique items. Love their ice cream cones. To be honest though, I mostly go here to support local businesses.

Large selection of different types of nostalgic and retro candy and old fashioned glass bottle sodas. You can get a milkshake, ice cream, or any of there many baked goods including gooey butter cake. They don't make the ice cream in house I believe I heard the employee say it was Ben & Jerry's none the less it was enjoyable. read more

Love this store, but today I stopped for lunch. I ordered the hot ham & cheese sandwich with chips. It needs to be called hot cheese and ham because there was only 2 thin slices of ham on it. I couldn't believe how little there was. Almost $12 including a glass bottled soda that I purchased along with the lunch special. Disappointed. read more

Headed out this AM on our week-long RV trip. We like to stop at coffee houses, etc., to find great cups of coffee and a little local flair. While we grew up here (so didn't need the local flair) we were super pleased by our visit to Ellbee's General Store!! Start with the friendly hello upon our entering. While our fresh pot of coffee was being brewed, the young man at the till told us about the mural on the wall - which brought back so many memories for us (Noah's Ark, Duschesne HS, Donut King!) and made us feel even more nostalgic than we already were. Add in the nice macaroons and the peach fritter, topping all of it with DELICIOUS coffee and you've got a stop well worth our time! read more

I stopped in here briefly on my drive from STL to KC because I saw they had some craft sodas. I ended up buying 2 of the bottled root beers, ones which I rarely see. Customer service was friendly and attentive during my visit. read more
