It t is less acidic/lemony than most places and not too rich - a plus for me. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I requested extra hollandaise sauce because I knew it was good. (I sampled some from hubby's plate during our first visit.) This was served with those delicious shredded hash browns that they cook so well. The portion sizes are good. Waffle House generally captures that greasy spoon diner ambiance and vibe. They are not a huge place, but if you drove through the southeastern United States, you more than likely have seen their bright yellow buildings. My usual go-to at a Waffle House is usually their patty melt or maybe one of their breakfasts centered around eggs. Despite the fact that the word "waffle" is literally in their business name, I have never had a waffle at a Waffle House. I prefer a savory breakfast over a sweet breakfast. The real star at Waffle House, at least in my opinion, is their hash browns, which you can have topped with a slew of various toppings. I usually mix it up, but chili and cheese is usually in the mix, along with several other things. Again, this to me is what makes Waffle House unique in its selection.
