This particular Waffle House is located on Interstate 231 in Ozark, Alabama and generally was an overall positive experience for a meal. Waffle House is a pretty familiar sight here in the southeastern part of the United States. Waffle House is a chain of restaurants geared to give a consistent greasy spoon diner experience (and I say that in a positive way) with a cook cooking up everything behind the counter and served by a friendly enough staff. Waffle House generally captures that greasy spoon diner ambiance and vibe. They are not a huge place, but if you drove through the southeastern United States, you more than likely have seen their bright yellow buildings. My usual go-to at a Waffle House is usually their patty melt or maybe one of their breakfasts centered around eggs. Despite the fact that the word "waffle" is literally in their business name, I have never had a waffle at a Waffle House. I prefer a savory breakfast over a sweet breakfast. The real star at Waffle House, at least in my opinion, is their hash browns, which you can have topped with a slew of various toppings. I usually mix it up, but chili and cheese is usually in the mix, along with several other things. Again, this to me is what makes Waffle House unique in its selection. This Waffle House overall is a good representation of the brand and it is an overall good place to head to for a meal. I would definitely recommend here and will give it four stars. read more

This place is awful I swear when I tasted the food it tasted burnt I could see the greese thick on the grill like it hadn't been cleaned in months I got herpes from the toilet seat when I tell u I would drive to the next town over just to eat at a different Waffle House I'm not lying do your self a favor spare urself and next time you think about eating here don't!!! read more

Best Waffle House I've been too so far. Great service and always great food. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

First time at a Waffle House, despite its name not the most diverse place for waffle choices but I went with a pecan waffle with blueberries and chocolate chips. Server remarked it's the strangest he has seen. It wasn't bad. Staff was attentive and friendly and interior clean. I debated 3 or 4 stars and ultimately chose 3 not because they did anything wrong but rather because it was status quo breakfast. I could have made the same at home but didn't have to worry about dishes afterward. Beyond that I would recommend the location for a quick fix for a hungry stomach. Just don't expect a cuisine masterpiece. read more

Always great cheesy eggs. Only downside to this stop is parking with rv difficult if not impossible even with 25 foot rig.

This is a typical Waffle House. The staff is friendly and efficient. I have only been here for carry-out. When I arrive my food is ready to go if I have placed an order over the phone. If I order in house it's normally ready in a few minutes. The waffles are yummy and I love the bacon. I have only had eggs once and they tasted about right. This place stays busy so they are doing something right. I'll keep coming back. read more

I had an opportunity to eat at this Waffle House on break. I have eaten at previous establishments only takeout. Bring your sugar free syrup because the good ole southern folk at this Waffle House think you don't know the difference between regular verses sugar free in the bottle at the table labeled SF. High School or college kids worked the night I went for breakfast they had friendly and respectable staff working at that time. The only peeve was the syrup. Not impressed at all....very small tables, we had 5 ppl table barely accommodated 4....my 11 year old nephew was served (and finished) his meal before anyone else was served...everything served on separate plates making what little room we had more crammed...I ordered steak and eggs and was done with eggs before steak was served.... It's not a Waffle House, it's a Waffle Home. Our waiter Sierra and sweet and let us order grilled cheese off the kids menu. The chef Mark was speedy and checked in with us to make sure our meal was good. I would order their hashbrowns as my last meal on death row. read more
