Food is pretty good. We always order double coleslaw with our meals services. Pretty good restaurant could use a good cleaning.

They are not customer friendly. They don't allow substitutions when placing online orders (we just wanted bread sticks instead of hush puppies) and they make sure you can not call them by having a false number listed on every website. read more

Captain D's has changed the fish from Cod or Pollock to a fish from Vietnam called Swai. This a so-called catfish that is not from the same family as North American Catfish. This fish is farmed in the Delta River basin by questionable practices. The Delta is a polluted river contaminated with human waste run off and other pollutens. There are no regulations to speak of insuring a product that is unsafe at best. I read some of the producers are feeding the fish Chicken droppings in order to save money. Antibiotics and other chemicals are given to the fish to boost production. And for what reason? The taste is horrendous . Being a fresh water fish the taste of course will be different than the Cod or Pollock Captain D's previously used. It isn't flaky at all and is a heavier fish. The portions are smaller in size as well. My family ended up giving the fish to the cats. Believe me pet food is all this fish is good for. We will not be returning to Captain D's unless or until the restaurant returns to the fish previously served. read more

The food at this location use to be pretty good. Before they remodeled the place I saw a roach and I stayed away for a year. I eventually came back because I love catfish and pecan pie. But they eventually stopped carrying the pecan pie. Ok so I was disappointed but I kept going because I loved their catfish. Now they have significantly reduced the size of the catfish portions. That's enough for me!! I put up rude people but now I won't go back ever again!!! These are mini fish. It's like somebody cut them in half. Who does that. read more

On the way home from attending my brother's funeral, we stopped by Captain d's to pick up dinner because I was not in the mood to cook. We stood at the counter for a good ten minutes being ignored. The young man behind the counter kept doing busy work as though we weren't there. We were the only people waiting to order and the only other customer in there was waiting for her drink. Very disappointing. We ended up leaving and getting rotisserie chicken from walmart to take home and reheat. read more

I go to the drive thru and pull up to the window. I pay and was asked to pull forward....there was only 1 car behind me and I had a small order. I didn't understand the reason for it, but we pulled up front and into a parking spot to wait for our order. I ordered the double dozen shrimp and my husband ordered the chicken and fish box.. I didn't realize until I got home and opened the box that they shorted me on my shrimp by 7. It was very obvious that there wasn't enough just by looking at it.. No one answered the phone when I tried to call. I messaged them through Facebook....no reply. While I had no intention of driving back for 7 little shrimp, I wanted to bring it to their attention so it didn't happen to anyone else. Wrong is wrong and it needed to be acknowledged and addressed. Sooo...now that I've vented about it, I can move on with my life....with 7 less shrimp. Lol read more

I have been patronizing this business since August but today I had to write this review because of the amazing service I received. I purchased the Deluxe Seafood Platter, with steamed broccoli and rice as my sides. It was enough food for two and cost only $9.04 US! The employee, Trinichia, was incredibly friendly and professional. The inside of the restaurant was clean and during my brief wait noticed an employee cleaning the dining area. I was greeted by all of the employees. I am baffled by the bad rating. This place is good to go on my list! read more

Had to sit and wait which I wasn't told until AFTER I paid! Funny thing is the guy behind me got his food before I did! I was told a 5 minute wait and 8 minutes later watched 2 people behind me get their food and go! Total wait time, in a car in 90+ degree heat, ended up being 15 minutes. To make it worse when the food was brought out I got a half assed apology and then an argument when I suggested next time let people know before they order. All I got back as a response was oh you could've called in your order. Really???? Now for the food... fish was nothing but a stick of grease, hush puppies were raw in the middle and we couldn't even eat any of them!!! The saving grace was the green beans we good and hot! Next time I crave fish & chips I will definitely go elsewhere!!! read more

The only reason I gave this 1 star is because 0 wasn't an option. Absolutely embarrassing! I placed an online order to pick up at 6:30 and when I arrived at 6:30 it wasn't ready, no big deal. But I had to wait 40 minutes to get my food! In the meantime the only 2 employees that I saw working were in the parking lot trying to fight someone that came through the drive thru. When I finally did get my food I did not get everything I ordered, but I didn't even bother going back in. Needless to say, I won't be back. read more

I ordered Deluxe Seafood Dinner. I went through drive thru. I had to wait for meal. I could tell that they (employees) were overwhelmed due to the traffic. I felt like I wasn't going to get the condiments that I wanted, so I went inside to ask for them. I wanted vinegar but they told me that they were out. So I asked for honey mustard to go with the cheese sticks. They told me that they were out. So I told them that I wanted a refund for the cheese sticks The food runner told me to ask the guy at the kitchen window. I kept repeating myself saying, "Sir, Sir,Sir." He was not responding. So I got louder. He turned around and started yelling at me. He even cursed at me. I asked him his name and he said Patrick Pryor and what else you want to know....A women that was preparing food came to the front and gave me a refund and apologized. I was so upset that when I got back to my car, I couldn't drive. I am truly disappointed with Patrick. And I feel like he should not be working with people. If it would have been someone else, I am sure there would have been a fight right there in front on customers. . I did call a district manager from Montgomery and she said that she would contact Patrick's district manager. I will revisit in a few days to see what was done. I am not letting this go until he no longer works there. Only because I could tell that this was not the first time he has done something of this nature. I am very upset!!!! read more

Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it's not. Honestly it's a hit and miss. But ALWAYS expect a LONG wait on your food. Also cleanliness isn't really an important matter here. read more

Went to this on dec 28, 2014. The food was the typical captain d food. What was absolutely awful was how unclean the place was. Garbage was over flowing and dishes weren't taken away. The tables were unclean. People had to stand around waitinf for their order to be given to them while it sat on the shelf getting cooled. Staff was unfriendly and wouldnt even say you are welcome when thanks was given. No silverware. Oh and my favorite was the hair I found onb my corn on the cob. So yeah... blast was awful compared to other captain d places. read more

Our last visit here was amazing. The place was clean, and the staff made us feel welcome and right at home. The food was great. The only negative I have is presentation. I just feel like it could have been arranged better. Still, this was a great experience. I don't go here very often, but when I do, it enjoyable. read more

Okay, to the idiot who looks like he's from Virginia, you have no idea what you're talking about, it's obvious you don't know what good seafood is, so why don't you go pack your bags and head on back to Virginia wherever you're from and leave Captain D's alone in Ozark. The food here is great and I have to give it five thumbs up, I always used to come here when I was little and the rolls were always hot and fresh, their cheese sticks were delightful. Nothing was done wrong here, the workers attitudes were always cheerful and upbeat--the fish was always good. I'm so happy that I got to experience this place, because I never used to eat fish until I tried it here and fell in love. People who say the food tastes bad here are just without taste buds--they don't know what great food and hospitality is. Captain D's you did a great job serving me, I will one day come back here to eat and enjoy the memories that I once had. I have a Captain D's here where I live now, but I haven't yet tried it. The place is very clean, the staff are friendly and always nice. There is no garbage overflowing the trash cans, and the staff seems neat and tidy like a fast food joint should always be.
