Half way between self serve and table service. Self order, then they bring food to table. Eggs and sausage were good. Pancakes were light and fluffy. Coffee was very weak. Also, served in paper cup which takes away from taste, too. Average biscuits. Counter service was not your typical over friendly hospitality. Greeter and food runner were very southern style. Interesting food items in general store. Trying the cinnamon cream honey. They recommend it on baked sweet potato instead of butter. I will experiment with it in my protein shake one morn.

Stop by on the way home from the beach, delicious burgers, sandwiches and Tatar tots.

The food was good, enjoyed the hometown feel. Was able to find Blackberry preserves with seeds(hard to find).

Great place to pick up some Amish type goods and hand made goodies. Get the bison burger.

My daughter says she'll never eat grilled cheese another way, my salad was so fresh, and the sweet potato waffle fries were thin and crispy.

Ran by a father and son tag team, the copper kettle has the perfect small town jewel feel to it. I frequent here for breakfast as well as lunch anytime I'm in Headland. The experience at The CKD can be attributed to 3 main qualities: service, quality, and price. Service: You're not going to meet two kinder, dedicated men anywhere. These gentlemen take pride in their work as well as there community. If you are a regular, like me, they'll have your regular order on the grill before you make it in the door. These guys are good to their customers and kind to all people. Quality: All ingredients are fresh, meat and produce, from local farmers. Countless times I've been there as a local farmer brings fresh vegetables, bacon, ham, etc, and nothing beats a BLT with their smokehouse bacon and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. These guys have mastered their craft too. Well prepared and cooked to perfection. Price: I don't know how these guys stay open. Just as an example, if you order a breakfast sandwich with Ham, egg, and cheese, you get at least two pieces of thick cut ham, usually more, for $2.75. They're like Oprah giving out BMWs. It's ridiculous. Lunch is just as cheap for lots of food. The only negative to The Copper Kettle Diner is the small staff. I've been disappointed to find them closed a few times because no one is available to run the store. This is not a regular issue, however. So do yourself a favor and drop in at the Copper Kettle Diner. Whether it be for a breakfast sandwich or for lunch, you will not be disappointed.
