Decided to go to waffle house since it's been a while since I've eaten there without any hurricanes in sight... first I wanted to say is I like the brother sister combo working together. I also appreciate that he washed his hands and grabbed some gloves before touching any food. Like I remembered, everything was on point as he did a fantastic job and she had great customer service from start to finish. Everything we ordered was fire.... The creamy grits, the blueberry waffle and bacon and grits was great. I'll be back..

Such a truly fulfilling meal we enjoyed at the Waffle House on N West Shore Blvd. The all star special had everything I could ask for and more. Bacon, hash browns, toast with grape jelly, scrambled eggs & a blueberry waffle really hit the spot. The customer service was top notch. Very kind and attentive customer service was on display the entire visit. The cheesteak melt was very delicious as the steak was seasoned to perfection along with a sizzling temperature. Be sure to stop by Waffle House if ever in the area or looking for a bite to eat at any time of the day!

There are going to be bagels at my staff meeting here in Tampa but I don't eat bagels when I'm on my keto diet so I stopped at the Waffle House to load up on protein and not be tempted by carbs. Quiet on a Tuesday morning, but a full crew and a few very regulars who came in and ordered their usuals. Friendly folks. I had a Fiesta omelet with whole wheat toast (only ate one slice) and coffee. Super easy and quick. The cook put it together perfectly and I was ready to eat in a couple of minutes. Awesome. Lots of work being done, not a lot of leaning or chatting. This was a good experience today. [Review 18826 overall - 1551 in Florida - 2349 of 2022.]

On a day when people need somewhere ti sit down and eat and get through the devastation, you decide to do to go only?? Plenty of employees walking around, explain seriously what the h are you thinking? limited menu you're already overcharging on and you wanna make everyone pay to go prices on top of that?? So many people lost everything and you want to milk it! You just killed your sales today! watch everyone go to Ihop!! I genuinely hope they do!

All Star Special- scrambled eggs, toast, grits, bacon and the waffle.

Waffle House has been around for as long as I can remember. It's always consistent and not too many changes. Also, breakfast for dinner is always good. I usually get the All Star Special because it's very affordable and get a lot of food. Normally, I get scrambled eggs, wheat toast, grits, bacon, a waffle and orange. Sometimes, I usually save the waffle for the next day. Lately, Waffle House has not been staying open for 24 hours due to staffing shortage. Go when you know it's open. The staff works very hard and very friendly.

Five stars all day long in my book ! Don't get these where I'm from so when in town need to carve out some time to come for breakfast. Always go with pecan waffle as that is best way to get ..perfectly cooked and good size....toss in a grilled biscuit in lieu of toast with any side meat bacon or sausage and comes out perfectly crisp. Sometimes not a need for fancy food on a business trip ...this is just pure comfort foods Matt did a great job as service his first day on the job ! Recommend!

We aren't big wine drinks - but they are known for their gluten free options. We ordered our entrees and about 20 minutes into it the manager Eric came and introduced himself. He apologized for the delay in our food arriving - we hadn't even noticed - and shared it was being plated as we spoke. Two minutes later he delivered it to our table. The second round of drinks too too long and he again delivered the drinks w another apology. Jim was attentive and professional. The short rib risotto was just plain amazing as were all the other items delivered. I had the risotto so I can rave about that. The experience was great and what made it great for us was the attention paid to us by the manager and the server. We never felt forgotten. We highly recommend. This isn't fast food or a place for a quick bite and run. If you have the time you must try CH Tampa

We had ordered two appetizers to share , and were finishing when she came over. We were on the outside patio , our Chihuahuas were contained in their carriers, and the only time one of them barked was when the waiter came by. We were there early at 11:30. For 15 minutes we were the only ones out there , then this elderly couple came and when they walked by us the elderly woman gave us a dirty look. Five minutes later another couple sat but further away from us. That woman seemed to be the only one with a problem. I should have asked the manager that if someone had complained about a screaming child( which usually is constant) would they have been asked to leave? I really like the food , and the service but we are contemplating whether to go there again because frankly we felt insulted! We only brought the dogs to begin with because my daughter is going on a trip and she is leaving the dogs with us. So we were exchanging them, and thought we would have lunch. The manager and the elderly couple ruined the experience for us. The manager told us that pets were not permitted but I checked in two different places , and pets are permitted on their patio. I feel they should either change their policy , or inform the manager as to what the policy is because she told us that pets were not allowed! Next time we will meet somewhere in St. Petersburg because that city is very pet friendly!

My husband shared it with him but is on the fence of if he'd get it again. He said depends on his mood next time. So definitely get it for the kid, toss up on whether Brandon will share it with him. Both kids loved the French fries. I got the smashed burger, which was delicious, with a side of fries for them which they devoured and wanted more. So next time we should get two sides of fries. My oldest son got the noodles with marinara. He ate a little, but not a ton so we still don't have a winner there. My dad got the ribs and liked it. I found the slaw to have too much dressing so that wouldn't be a top choice for me. We always like coming here, so I still recommend it. They have a lovely patio; it was a little chilly, so we opted for indoor dining. The interior is welcoming and warm. The menu is very elevated bar food and favorites -- crispy chicken sandwiches; creative burgers; very nice salads; good appetizers. Our server, Zoe, was just lovely, and helpful. Bonus for those with gluten allergies -- nearly everything on their menu is gluten free, including the fries. Woohoo! We started with the grilled California artichoke hearts, which were tender and smoky. Excellent. My husband had the buttermilk fried chicken, which he said was absolutely delicious -- he was mad he couldn't finish it all, and kept picking! I had the Wright chicken sandwich, which was also crispy and delicious, and I was all too happy to be able to have a few french fries! If we find ourselves in Tampa again, we would definitely seek out Doc B's.

Really, I came for cake, but I stayed for...everything else. I got good vibes upon visiting here with my pup Muffin. The folks at the hostess stand were super welcoming and seated me right away. Very shortly I was greeted by my wonderful server Amber. She told me all about the restaurant which had me even more excited to come here for dinner. She also gave me great recs for drinks. Being that it was a SUPER HOT day I went for a non-alcoholic drink (because I barely drink) and Amber recommended Ruby Slippers, which is basically a strawberry basil lemonade. OMG SSSSOOO refreshing, and when I dumped my water into the glass to get more of the flavor it helped quench my thirst. For my appetizer, their fried green tomatoes. Generous portion, lightly breaded and crisp, practically a tempura. Came with a thick dipping sauce with dill that was rich and refreshing all the same. For my dinner I went with the steak salad. Normally I don't do salad for dinner unless I'm unimpressed with the menu, but that was not the case here, rather I just wanted to eat a little lighter. I thought the steak salad would be a great choice. What impressed me with it is that it wasn't overly large like salads tend to be at other places, and had a great variety of ingredients including shaved gruyere. My steak was cooked PERFECTLY (I went with medium rare). The portion size was PERFECT and I could see myself eating this on a normal lunch day. And of course, I've saved THE BEST for last. The major reason why I came. Their signature namesake dish. WHISKEY CAKE. I was pretty fully at the end of the dinner, so I got it to-go. Turns out, it was smart move so I could pair with coffee and really take my time enjoying it. This is some SERIOUS CAKE. Tastes like dreams and toffee with a little bit of a kick. Moist yet dense with a hearty toffee and molasses taste to it, it comes with a side of vanilla cream cheese drizzle that I poured over the toffee and pecan covered top. It was PEFFECTION. So glad to finally try Whiskey Cake, and I would definitely be back--even if it's only to get a cake to-go!

The patio is so cute, with some hydroponic gardens and a little herb garden, but the inside had the A/C going, so we were grateful for the cooler air inside. Since it was noon on a Saturday, we were able to enjoy the brunch menu. My kiddo had the chicken melt, which was HUGE, and she really liked it. I had the crab Benedict. The hollandaise sauce had a nice little kick to it, but the crab was kind of "fishy" tasting, so I kind of drowned it in lemon juice and that made it better. The poached eggs were perfect. We both had the chili butter potatoes for our side, and they were SO crispy and delicious. We didn't save room for dessert, but wished we had - the signature whiskey cake looked delicious.

I'd been studying the menu ever since my friend told me we were going. I ended up going with the avocado tartine and added smoked salmon. It was delicious and went well with a day of heavy drinking!! We also ordered the grazing board for the table which was amazing. I loved the assortment of cheeses and snacks. The butter on the board was bussinnnnn! I was in heaven!! I should mention the bottomless mimosas were $25 and the bottles literally just keep coming! Safe to say we were all feeling nice and toasty by the time we left. We hung out for a while without even getting kicked out I'd love to visit again and try more menu items. The server mentioned the cubano is the best Cuban you'll have. The salad was phenomenal and the salmon crispy rice was perfectly cooked. Unfortunately the poke bowl wasn't that great. I ended up not finishing it. I tried my friend's dishes as well and her Pork Belly Cubano was good, but her Chili Lime Chicken was not -- the flavors were conflicting and didn't mesh well. I think when I come back again, I may stick to the regular menu or I may have to choose the Pork Belly Cuban.
