Loud location! Stopped in for Sunday brunch a few months back. It was crowded and loud. Our waiter was just blah, just doing his job but he could have been friendlier. The food came out pretty fast. It was ok nothing amazing that I would return honestly. The drinks were good and whiskey is just whiskey.... Strong! The cake was good. Very sweet so you can't eat a lot at once. Overall I would return if asked to go but not a spot that I would frequent.

Gavin was our host. He recommended his favorite items from the menu and his conversation made us feel welcome. He even highlighted Whiskey Cakes workplace culture. It appears this eatery cares about the happiness of the patrons and the employees too. My Hangover Burger was exactly what I needed after a great workout. Can't wait to bring other people here.

We sat at the outside bar, The Old Fashioned Bar. Alex was our bartender and he was amazing! We both had a Frozen Old Fashioned, and they were so good! I tried the Wabbit Smash, which was gin based and made with fresh carrot juice and ginger and that was delicious! It was a great time and Alex made it even better with his knowledge of the different Whiskeys and his upbeat and positive energy! And among the extensive choices of Whiskeys they have a private barrel with Elijah Craig that you can only get at Whiskey Cake! That's pretty cool. Everything was awesome and we can't wait to come back!

Everything here was amazing. Start to finish. Our host was warm, welcoming and had a stunning little flower on top of their head. We took our time with my menu. Everything is made from scratch and sounded fantastic. I chose the half sandwich half soup. Turkey chili with avocado pair with a chicken melt sandwich and house chips. My partner had the French onion burger. These sandwiches are messy! But everything was delicious and we were the perfect amount of full.

This is a chain done right. Love their food and drink menu, the vibe is warm and welcoming, service is always outstanding. Some of their dishes can be a little heavy on the salt, but we've never had a bad meal here. Their brunch is especially good. Never had the whiskey cake though. One day!

This restaurant is delightful. Highly recommend the Old Fashioned if you are a drinker. If you prefer spirit free, Ruby Slippers is a tasty option. I had the Grilled Shrimp Rigatoni as my main course and it was tasty with the perfect amount of heat from chili oil. The service was swift and pleasant. Ambiance is definitely a bigger restaurant atmosphere. There is a private room in the back for larger parties and an outdoor seating area if you love a cool breeze while you sip.

This restaurant has been on my wishlist list for a year and I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to go. The location is excellent- since it's in the Westshore mall there is plenty of free parking and other things to do/see/shop nearby. Our server, Elijah, was absolutely amazing- friendly, professional and helpful without being cloying. He did little things like wrote friendly notes on the receipt and the to go boxes. I especially liked that he asked if I was ok with all the ingredients in the food I ordered because it ended up that the menu didn't mention pork was in the gravy and I don't eat pork. I was here for a book club meeting and it was one of the few restaurants we met at where the music wasn't loud and I didn't feel the need to yell. The food was delicious . I ended up getting the chicken strips and waffles and everything was well seasoned and tasty. I ordered an alcoholic drink (can't remember the exact name) it was tasty and they did not skimp on the alcohol . I didn't buy the whiskey cake because I'm not a lover of molasses and that's what it tasted like. I'd be interested in going back and trying their brunch.

The favorite place to be in Tampa! Before departure or upon arrival, we are here enjoying something new, fresh, and fabulous. Always, always, everytime, enjoy the Whiskey Cake! The Cold Fashion is a new whiskey drink we enjoyed, cold cream and coffee pires on the whisky with bitters. Talk about creamy and smooth spirits. Food! Yes, gotta eat, something delicious: salads, entrees, farm fresh veggies, Gruyère, candied bacon, oh my! Ask Ross, our server, for his help on favorites. Be prepared for subdues lighting, uptempo music, friendly vibes.

I love this spot! I think I come everytime I'm in town at this point lol. It's a cool place with great service and food! This trip I ordered the kale salad which was delicious, however I was hungry as hell 3 hours later lol. I won't ever make that mistake again. I definitely needed more food lol. I did that to save room for the main event which is the whiskey cake!!! And it is still as amazing as it was when I first had it back in 2020. I came here alone while waiting for a friend to arrive in town. I sat outside so I could people watch. It was a great solo date night. I sipped some Woodford to help rinse down my whiskey cake and it was really just a great trip. Everything was fantastic!!!

Decided to have brunch and it was a very relaxed atmosphere on a busy day. I don't know if the bun was fresh made, but it was the best hamburger bun I've ever had. I must say the bread made the burger. The pressed juice flight was interesting but not for me, it was less juice IMO. The homemade potatoes were a great compliment to the burger and a better spin than fries. Our server was busy but he was very responsive and professional.

I was out Christmas shopping and decided to stop in for dinner. Julia was our server and she was very friendly and helpful. Started out with the goat cheese appetizer and it was delicious.! I could have stopped there lol. So creamy and warm and full of garlic. Mmmmm I had the salmon and my husband had the turkey chili. The salmon had a bit of spice but it was perfect for me. Cooked perfectly at medium. If you want a more dry cut, ask them to cook it longer. I prefer the medium cook. The Turks chili was good. A little sweet for me. I prefer a smoked flavor but I would still order it. It has a lot of meat and beans to fill you up. I love sitting outside to people watch and enjoy dinner. I'll definitely return.

Overall: I went here while on a work trip. This restaurant is situated in a bit of an outdoor mall area, but the inside feels like a stand alone place. The food and service were both good, though the food ended up being on the expensive side. I'd go back if i'm ever in the area. Food: 4 Drinks: 3 Service: 4 Value: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Food: I really enjoy comfort food and there were several options that caught my eye. I ended up going with the steak frites. It was a simple steak with a tallow chimichurri sauce, parmesan fries, and shishito peppers. The steak was nicely cooked and the sauce was deliciously savory with a brightness to it. The fries were a little bland, they didn't really have any parmesan flavor. The shishitos were a nice touch but I wish there were a few more. Drinks: They have a very extensive whiskey menu. I ended up just ordering a beer, but the menu was kind of thin. Service: My waitress was very friendly and checked in on me frequently. I was one of her few tables but I got plenty of attention. Value: I got upcharged because I guess I asked for the large steak (I wasn't aware there were sizes) and my full bill after tax and tip was $70. I ordered one of the most expensive things on the menu (~$35), but it felt like a bit of a rip off for that to go up to $47. Atmosphere: The restaurant was huge with an outdoor bar area. It was dimly lit with individual light fixtures on each table. I seemed like a bit of a family restaurant with an old time tavern feel. It was a monday night so the place was pretty empty, but it didn't feel deserted like those restaurants can sometimes feel.

A time was had tonight! My job hosted a holiday gathering. Whiskey Cake has a really great private room in the back. Perfect location! Gavin was our server. He was phenomenal! Super attentive and professional. I had a bunch of apps, an espresso martini and steak frites. Sooo delicious! The candy bacon was my fav! I also had their whiskey cake. Great service. Great location. Great food. Definitely recommend! 10 out of 10.

Coconut drinks. The coconut was $13. Then you pay to add the drink. This is a virgin strawberry daq.

From the time we walked in and until we left, the service was absolutely the best we've experience in years and certainly the best by far in Tampa. Well done, staff!! Just awesome job! We arrived at our reservation time and were quickly seated. Katie C. our server from Chicago came over to welcome us to Ponte. She offered water and then came back to take our drink and app order. Katie provided several recommendations. We decided to start with the colossal crab cake with a pickled fennel citrus salad. The dish was very good and popping with flavor. For entrees, we chose the Chilean Sea Bass and New Bedford Scallops. The sea bass, was so good. It was served with miso, bok Choy and a lobster ginger sauce. It literally melted in your mouth. The scallops were very good, too but that sea bass!! We shared a spring pea risotto with pickled ramp, Pesto, parmesan that complimented both dishes. For dessert, we enjoyed warm carrot cake. I went on a Sunday and had the best experience. The ambiance was beautiful--everything was clean, the noise level was not loud at all, and I loved the lighting and overall atmosphere of the open-concept space. It felt comfortable, elevated, and easy to enjoy a full meal without feeling overwhelmed or rushed. Our server was training someone, but you couldn't even tell--it was so professional. One thing I noticed was how many people work there, and I really hope it stays that way. Each staff member had a specific role, and it made the entire service feel seamless. There was no rushing and no stress on the servers. You could tell they really enjoyed what they were doing. They also offer complimentary valet, and you can even Venmo a tip, which made arrival and departure super easy. At the end of our meal, someone even came to box up our food for us--we didn't have to do it ourselves. Very old school NY!!! Top-tier service. As for the food: the oysters we had were flavorful, and the garlic bread selection was soft and not overly heavy on the garlic. My friend ordered the scallops with risotto and crispy prosciutto, and I ordered the special chicken Parmesan with a side of spaghetti in a lemon sauce that they suggested. I was in the mood for a lemon-flavored pasta, and they absolutely delivered. Both plates were phenomenal. I wish they had a place like this in Orlando. I also wish the chicken parm would always be a special because that sauce was delicious. Growing up in Brooklyn, I've had some really good Italian food--and I would absolutely come back here. I'd give service five stars and food five stars. Thank you for a great meal--you did not disappoint.

Every dish was excellent -- fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. Dessert was just as memorable: a chocolate gelato and a pistachio gelato topped with espresso. A perfect finish. What made the night truly meaningful was the kindness of the serving staff and the manager, who took the time to greet us and make our anniversary feel genuinely special. We were on the outside patio , our Chihuahuas were contained in their carriers, and the only time one of them barked was when the waiter came by. We were there early at 11:30. For 15 minutes we were the only ones out there , then this elderly couple came and when they walked by us the elderly woman gave us a dirty look. Five minutes later another couple sat but further away from us. That woman seemed to be the only one with a problem. I should have asked the manager that if someone had complained about a screaming child( which usually is constant) would they have been asked to leave? I really like the food , and the service but we are contemplating whether to go there again because frankly we felt insulted! We only brought the dogs to begin with because my daughter is going on a trip and she is leaving the dogs with us. So we were exchanging them, and thought we would have lunch. The manager and the elderly couple ruined the experience for us. The manager told us that pets were not permitted but I checked in two different places , and pets are permitted on their patio. I feel they should either change their policy , or inform the manager as to what the policy is because she told us that pets were not allowed! Next time we will meet somewhere in St. Petersburg because that city is very pet friendly!
