My server did a good job, the chicken Sausage was cold and awful, so I swapped for bacon -which came with hair on it"-hello, kitchen staff? Hair nets, anyone?! I asked for my toast to be dry, it came with slathered butter on it, which the butter there doesn't even melt into the toast-it's probably margarine ?! Gross. My daughter's avocado toast has been cut down to 1/2 of what it used to be for more $? Hmmm. Overall, I think I'll just stay home for breakfast I didn't complain, but I think the server just knew it was a less than desirable outing. The server did give me a card to hand in to the staff where you pay at the end for a bogo, which was nice, but honestly I would have much rather pay in full and had a seamless outing with my daughter. Everyone is always friendly and the restaurant always looks very clean inside. I love the different juice mixes like Morning Meditation & Fuji Apple Fizz. This was our second visit at a First Watch and it did not disappoint. I do have to say service was just as phenomenal as the location in Jupiter. The menu had seasonal items and the prices were actually much cheaper than Jupiter's locations. It was $57 for 3 dishes and 2 coffees. I recommend the carne asada tacos and salmon frittata. Both dishes were delectable. I don't recommend the beans that comes with the tacos. I should've subbed them for the potatoes. Ooh and the pickled onions were so tasty I requested another ramekin of them. ***Edited*** So we went to the location in Lake Mary and we were told that this location is actually a test location where they introduce new items to see how they fair. The only reason we found this out was because I wanted to order the Carne Asada tacos but they did not have it at Lake Mary. Friendly workers when you walk in, get seated & wait to get served. It's located in a shopping plaza, so parking is No Bueno, because it's super duper packed & hard to find a parking, so if u find one, u need to park OR you'll have to drive around & find a spot, on the street. Stopped in for breakfast with no reservation and were sat immediately on a Sunday morning. Our server went through the seasonal menu and answered any questions we had. We have been to First Watch many times before and in different states. Their food is always consistently good. Today we didn't have too much to wait. We checked in before we arrived and it said it was a 20 minute wait when we arrived we checked in again and they said we still had a 20-25 min wait. We asked to sit bar seating and we were seated right away. We ordered our usual TriFecta with a Belgian Waffle. My husband's waffle was not cooked enough and not crispy at all so he sent it back and they happily made him a new plate. My waffle was cooked well however everything in my plate was cold already. Came in on a rainy day. This was my first time at this chain restaurant. We were seated at a booth that had food crumbs on the seats. Our server was kind. We ordered the chimichurri steak with no feta cheese, and a side of pancakes with eggs and bacon. It took about 25-30 minutes for our food to come out. The chimichurri steak was delivered with feta, so I had to send it back. The server looked at me like I was the one who made the mistake. Another 25-30 minutes go by, and my food finally delivers. By then we lost our appetite and asked for the check. When I went to go pay at the front, the girl at the cashier didn't say anything to me and took the receipt out of my hand, had the card machine light up and left her station to go flirt with her employee. First time I ever left potatoes on my plate. This location was not busy at all. Maybe 6 tables total with three servers. We were seated fast by the very nice, kind hostess. Then it kind of went downhill from there. We were sitting at the table for over 8 minutes waiting on our server. The manager on duty was also walking the floor but never acknowledged to the waitress in our area that we were here. He (the manager) was more focused on another employee doing their chalk board I guess? After the 8 minutes had passed by, our waitress finally arrived. She apologized and told us that no one had informed her that she had a new table in her section. We put our drink and food order in. I ordered the "traditional breakfast". . Chicken sausage patties were okay. The flavor was weak but the size was good. . The toast was more on the burnt side. . The eggs (scrambled) was more of an omelet patty. It also had a few onions in it. Thankfully I am not allergic but could have been bad for someone with an allergy. . The potatoes... the smaller pieces were cooked through while the bigger ones (which were the majority of the portion) were basically raw. I do not think breakfast potatoes should be raw, correct? There are to many good menu choices. I pair whatever I get with the dressed greens. Something about that simple dressing is soooo good. It's a fine place for a reasonably healthful brunch, but there's nothing extraordinary here. First Watch is a chain of breakfast-lunch restaurants that serves traditional, American breakfasts as well as some healthier items. I ordered a decaf coffee and the chile chorizo omelet. I was told that they were out of decaf and more was being brewed. The waitress poured me the last of the decaf (one-third of a cup of lukewarm coffee) and said she'd bring me the fresh coffee when it was done. They must have been brewing a tankard truck of coffee as I did not get more coffee until I had finished my meal. I was not offered water or regular coffee while I was waiting. So I was very thirsty as I didn't really care to linger to drink my coffee after I ate my food. I liked the different sweetener choices for my coffee but was disappointed that First Watch uses those International House disposible creamers and that most of the creamers in the bowl were flavored. Yuck. How about a tiny pitcher of milk or cream instead? The chile chorizo omelet was okay. Props to them for making it feel healthful with a very non-greasy omelet and salad as the side. But that definitely was not chorizo (not that I think authentic non-greasy chorizo exists). Dousing the omelet with hot sauce helped, but as I was without a drink for most of my meal, all that salt made me miserable. The side salad was very good as was the whole grain toast. I don't know if I'll return. The service wasn't great, and the food wasn't that special. There are better places to get breakfast in South Tampa for a comparable price. read more

First Watch used to be our favorite breakfast/lunch place and we decided to go the day after Gasparilla. We would have waited over 90 minutes, however we checked in using yelp and by the time we arrived, we waited 2 minutes after checking in with the hostess. It was a lifesaver. It was packed and we waited about 40 minutes for our food, however it was worth the wait because everything was delicious. In the future we will definitely use the check in function because it's a deterrent to have to wait so long when we are hungry. With so many places to chose from for brunch, we can usually find a place with less of a wait. I will say the maple caramelized bacon is the best thing I have ever had. Fatty, salty, sweet heaven on a plate. We order it every time. My Tri-athelete was really flavorful and fresh for being so healthy. It was light and left me feeling full. Okay so I've never had NON GREASY CHORIZO. I'm from Texas so all my experiences with Chorizo have been greasy and spicy. Here it was clean and mild in spice which was still fine. If you're looking for a good brunch place keep looking, this isn't it. Either that or we must have visited on an off day because we were both very disappointed in our meals. I ordered smoked salmon eggs Benedict (sauce on the side) & didn't want the biscuit / bread so I requested that it come on a slice of tomato. As a side note, they have cold pressed OJ so that's a plus. What they don't have is lattes and such...just your typical American coffee. We waited, and waited, and waited while many other were seated. 20 minutes later I had to go up to her again and she said already she called me. No she didn't, as we were both sitting right in front of her desk the whole time. Once seated we told the server we were in a rush. She said the kitchen is presently serving meals no earlier than 25 minutes. So again, we wait, and wait, and wait. My sister and I came in on a Sunday for a late lunch and we're seated right away. The open floor plan is great and trendy without being too loud. We ordered the trifecta breakfast, the French toast and a yogurt granola bowl. All the food was really amazing and didn't take long to come out. Our server was super nice and wonderful. I ordered the new honey iced coffee, it tasted more like a milkshake desert than a coffee to be honest. First Watch is my favorite breakfast place (in Tampa and anywhere else), they have the best options for groups. Great healthy & not so healthy picks, and something for everyone! They just rolled out the Fall menu and I was super excited to try. The pumpkin pancakes did not disappoint. If you like pumpkin, they are a must try. I get a single pancake, it is $5 versus $12 for the meal. The Million Dollar Bacon, Healthy Turkey, Elevated Egg Sandwich and the Avocado Toast (the only store bought one worth spending $10 on) are my favorites. My boyfriend swears by the Chickichanga. I always opt for this location over downtown one - more parking and usually less wait time, even on Saturdays and Sundays. When we asked to be moved, the waitress could not have been more accommodating and moved us to a great table on the opposite side. We proceeded to order a great meal. The 1/2 + 1/2 combo was a fair deal, and you could tell that everything was made with love, and ingredients were fresh.
