Tango Brew is a mixed purpose bar that serves up coffee, wine, gelato, and small bites near the University of Tampa. We went in just expecting your typical coffee shop experience, but it seems their bar business is their wheelhouse, as most people were socializing and having alcoholic beverages. Service was friendly, but caffeinated drinks with any sort of flavor were on the expensive side, as large iced latte with flavor was over $10. They didn't have any visible menu prices for their caffeinated beverages, and the girl working there even made a comment about how she doesn't set the prices, which came off as a little awkward. Regardless, the iced latte (3/5) I had was average at best. It may be an ok local option for those living in the adjacent residential complex, but underwhelming and overpriced makes Tango Brew the kind of place I wouldn't return to or recommend to others looking for coffee in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Tampa.

    Argentina vs. Jordan Game

We came here for the Argentina vs. Jordan game. The Choripans were OK, but the empanadas were excellent. The owners left around 10:40 PM and the AC was turned off. The place was a hot mess while watching the second half of the game.

I pass this spot often and finally had time to visit, on a Saturday morning at first opening. The ambiance is very art deco and cozy for coffee or drinks. My barista was very nice and offered great suggestions. I tried the boba tea. What I enjoyed is that I was able to make changes to my flavors and I added the hibiscus flavor. I will definitely come again when I have more time. Loved the music, vibe, and options of both outside or inside seating. I see why this hidden gem is very popular,

Great service and atmosphere. I got the strawberry matcha and plant based egg and cheese bagel breakfast sandwich. Prices are $10 and under for breakfast and they have plenty of plant based options.

Nice new bar in North Hyde Park. Good vibe - it gets a little warm inside hopefully they get a stronger ac as they grow. I like the medialuna and the empanadas. Today I had ham and cheese and it was good. Good wine selection, could add some more craft beer options. Some tvs to catch the game and chill staff. Recommend checking out.

Terrible experience. Waitress clearly didn't get my friend's order in and tried to act like they were having kitchen / oven issues for making fries and wings. Wings came out lukewarm like off a heating tray. Food was meh, good space, but they didn't even offer to take the wings and / or fries off for my friend after the terrible service. We will be sure to NOT recommend this to friends and family, as we would not want them to suffer like we did. Would give 0**** if possible.

Recently opened. The medialunas were cooked to perfection and the dulce de leche was authentic. The coffee was delicious and it's fun to have a dulce de leche late. The ambience is also very nice. It's open and friendly. The service deserves grace because they are a new business but there are things to improve... overall, I will come back once they have been open for a little longer.

We decided to try something different since we were in Tampa and made reservations for 8:15 PM…read more When we arrived, the entrance was packed and there was no host or hostess in sight. Several couples were waiting. While standing there, we heard a woman tell another patron she did not have a reservation, yet when the manager came out to seat guests, he seated a large group and then that party of three before the rest of us who had reservations. Shortly after, he loudly announced, "Reservations first," which was confusing considering what we all had just witnessed. When we were finally seated, we were initially placed at the worst table in the room by the kitchen and bathroom but were accommodated after requesting a move. We then waited 10-15 minutes before the manager instructed Daniel to take care of us. Daniel ended up being the highlight of the evening--professional, apologetic, and attentive despite circumstances clearly outside of his control. We ordered empanadas, only to find out the flavors we wanted were sold out. Daniel brought cheesesteak, four-cheese, and shredded beef instead. The cheesesteak had decent flavor but was dry. Overall, the empanadas were very doughy and the meat lacked moisture. We then ordered the All Beef Parrillada. When it arrived, my wife checked the temperature and tasted a small piece. Immediately after, a server returned and said the dish wasn't ours and took it back. We watched her walk into the kitchen and then bring the same tray out to another table seated two tables away--who had been seated after us. That was extremely concerning. To make matters worse, we were then informed that mashed potatoes were no longer available and needed to select another side--yet the table that received the dish we had touched was served mashed potatoes. We ended up with extra rice and spinach. The spinach was oily with no noticeable garlic, salt, or seasoning. The rice was plain white rice with peas and carrots and little flavor. The steak itself, however, was well-seasoned and prepared nicely. During our visit, we also noticed another Black couple seated next us who waited at least 30 minutes without being greeted or even served water. They eventually left. Shortly after, the table was seated with white males who were greeted and attended to within 10 minutes. That observation was very difficult to ignore after talking to them. Daniel did not charge us for the empanadas, spinach, or the sangria (which he made promptly so we wouldn't experience another long wait). The sangria was very good. His professionalism and sincere attitude were the only things that salvaged the evening. Overall, the service inconsistencies, food execution, and handling of dishes--especially serving a plate that had already been touched--were disappointing and extremely concerning. We came for a different experience, but unfortunately left questioning whether we would return. 2 stars for steak taste and season and Daniel's effort.

Perfectly seasoned, expertly cooked, and served sizzling hot. The ribeye was rich and tender with just the right char. Their chimichurri adds that bright, herby punch that takes everything up a notch. The empanadas are a must to start -- flaky, flavorful, and hard to share. I also love the beef carpaccio as a starter. The sides are classic and generous, and if you have room, don't skip dessert. Service feels personal and attentive without being overbearing. It's a great spot for a date night, family dinner, or even just a glass of wine and steak at the bar. Tampa has plenty of steakhouses, but Renzo's keeps me coming back for the consistency, quality, and welcoming atmosphere.

We had 2 appetizers, carpaccio (which was excellent) and the empenandas. I had a few bites of the corn one, which was good. The beef and chicken were very dry. My daughter had sirloin pichana, which was good and a large portion. My husband was looking forward to the paella, online images showed it full of seafood. However, both he and my adult daughter agreed it was flavorless....that Uncle Ben's rice has more flavor, and the seafood in the dish was miniscule. I had the $90, dry aged ribeye, medium rare. When it came out, there was a think crust on outside..no problem, but I could barely cut into it. As I was saying into it, the entire table was moving back and forth. Inside was barely any pink in middle, the outside pieces were brown, no pink at all. I did what I NEVER do, sent it back. The waiter said they use a thermometer to tell when done and that with dry aged beef, the color is different when cooked. He did take it back, no problem at all. After about 10 minutes, I had my new steak. Which was cooked less for sure more red inside but was still incredibly touch to cut into, let alone chew. In general, pretty disappointed all around. Our bill was $300, so we're bummed to have spent the money and left feeling unsatisfied.

I felt neglected at some points. They were talking to other guests that I assume come often. They other guests leave and the door was opened by the bar staff to thank them. I leave and no one opened the door for me. I am pretty sure I spent more money than they did. Hence, my 2 hour 5 min meal. Please know; I grabbed my ear pods and entertained myself. So I was content.
