    Bay Street entrance

This place checked all the boxes. After shopping inside the mall all day we wanted to eat outside, and you can't beat the convenience of Bay Street. They gave us a great table outside on the patio, primed for people watching. The menu offered plenty of gluten-free options. Our server was delightful and her recommendations were on point. Our cocktails were crafted perfectly. I was quite impressed by the Crazy Beautiful (straight up with Vodka, elderflower, and spiced pear). The chimichurri chicken wings were amazing. The #1 Tuna Salad (seared ahi, citrus ponzu, field greens, cucumber, avocado, mango, ginger dressing) was very fresh and flavorful. My date enjoyed his Wok Out Bowl with teriyaki chicken. I sampled a bite of it and thought it was delish. Overall a flawless first visit.

Doc B's is one of those places that just gets it--great food, great service, and a vibe that makes you want to hang out a little longer. We sat on the patio, and it was so cute. Comfortable, relaxed, and perfect for brunch--definitely added to the overall experience. The service was friendly and attentive from start to finish, and everything came out in a timely manner even though the restaurant was busy. Now for the food, because wow. We ordered the cinnamon roll pancake, and when I say it's humongous, I mean it. It was big enough to split between four people, and it was still more than enough. Fluffy, warm, and completely indulgent, topped with syrup and icing that pushed it straight into dessert-for-breakfast territory. For my entrée, I got the chimichurri flank steak with breakfast potatoes and two eggs, and it did not disappoint. The steak was super tender and paired perfectly with the chimichurri. The sauce was fresh, vibrant, and very herby--full of flavor without overpowering the dish. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and satisfying, and the eggs rounded everything out nicely. Between the cute patio seating, solid service, generous portions, and consistently delicious food, Doc B's is a brunch win. I'll definitely be back

Wok out Bowl the broth saved the day.

So after a Saturday of shopping we decided to tryout Doc B's. The decor nothing spectacular looks just like any typical diner. The see through windows so you can see the kitchen staff working pretty cool. As far as the food no seasoning no taste, it seems they use all these sauces to cover up the lack of seasoning in there meats. I had the fried chicken which had 5lbs of batter but no flavor, my wife had a wok out bowl the broth saved the dish because again no seasoning. The traditional burger lacked seasoning as well. Overall if you're into non seasoning or flavors then this is your spot to be in. Coming from a family that uses seasoning (healthy options) we know what flavor should taste like not use sauces as an excuse to not add any flavor. This is definitely off my radar when visiting International Mall. I've seen so many establishment come and go. This place may have another 2 years in them.

    Teriyaki wings. Perfect presentation.

I had eaten here a few months ago and it was really good. We were excited to eat here. Today- we started with teriyaki wings. Presentation was fabulous. Half of the wings were great. Flavorful sauce. Crunchy outside and tender, fresh, hot inside. The other half tasted like last week's wings that had been saved and warmed up today. My wife got the brunch French toast and it was great. I got the brunch cinnamon roll pancake and sent it back because it was overcooked so bad. Then I got the causal chicken wrap. Everything about it was good- except the chicken was very dry. The fries were good. The service was great. Quiet, clean restaurant.

Conveniently located in the International Mall, Doc B's offers a solid menu in a modern setting. Our server was friendly and attentive. The menu choices and food quality are very good and better than most of the other restaurants in the mall. Overall a good experience and I would recommend Doc B's if you're at the mall and want a bite.

    California salad with salmon. AMAZING
    Travis S.

Overall solid food with excellent flavors this is my favorite restaurant for anything easy and delicious. My go to lately has been the California salad with added salmon. That salad is one of my tops from any restaurant I have been to, there are so many little good things in it. Also the fried chicken is amazing as it's all dark meat. The steak sandwich is also fantastic as it's an actual piece of steak. For appetizers the candied bacon is incredible but has a little bit if you're not good with spicy. Th guacamole with sweet potato chips are incredible too. Really you can't go wrong with anything. They have a beautiful covered outdoor patio when the weather is nice. You won't be disappointed.

The food was pretty good, there were so many options I couldn't decide what to get. The only thing I was disappointed in was the sweet potato fries. They were not traditional and not crispy. Anyways it was overall a good meal and I really enjoyed the sauces.

This is our go-to spot for a bite on lengthy shopping days. They've got something for every mood and time of day. Everything is always as good as or better than expected. Service is always quick and pleasant.

Wok bowl with tofu and brown rice
    Deanne E.

I came with my family last night. We sat on the patio and we got great service. I was impressed with their guacamole appetizer, it was very tasty and came with house made sweet potato chips which were delicious and I liked that they were not your classic tortilla chips. Seeking out their vegan options, I really appreciate that they have tofu. I got the wok bowl with brown rice and tofu. It was pretty good, but I got it a couple years back and I feel like I remember liking it more last time. Not sure if anything was different or maybe I had it built up in my head but I think it lacked luster. Besides that, a cool spot. Music was a little loud but it wouldn't keep me from coming back for the guac

The food was delicious, the service a little off, we scored for Two different chips for our guacamole dip and they forgot and gave us one. But they fixed it. The place is simple but cut outside seating a must.

I was excited to try this spot but unfortunately I was disappointed. Ordered the chicken Kabab and the artichoke, and they were both chewy specially the artichoke. The artichoke was also very burnt. We tried to address it, they thanked us for the feedback but didn't offer to replace or remake it.

Brunch is an experience bottom line to come in. You can have different kinds of cocktails. The food is unbelievable and by the way, can I talk about the service? The service is outstanding the vibe is really fresh clean and inviting totally digging this place. I invite you to visit it. I loved it. I know you will.

We stopped in for lunch on Saturday. Nice vibe, service was kind & attentive. We both ordered their Wok bowls - delicious & healthy. The salmon was perfectly cooked, not dry. I had the gluten-free option. So grateful they offered a GF option. Nice decor and enjoyed the modern decor and comfortable seating. We will definitely be back.

From the time we walked in and until we left, the service was absolutely the best we've experience in years and certainly the best by far in Tampa. Well done, staff!! Just awesome job! We arrived at our reservation time and were quickly seated. Katie C. our server from Chicago came over to welcome us to Ponte. She offered water and then came back to take our drink and app order. Katie provided several recommendations. We decided to start with the colossal crab cake with a pickled fennel citrus salad. The dish was very good and popping with flavor. For entrees, we chose the Chilean Sea Bass and New Bedford Scallops. The sea bass, was so good. It was served with miso, bok Choy and a lobster ginger sauce. It literally melted in your mouth. The scallops were very good, too but that sea bass!! We shared a spring pea risotto with pickled ramp, Pesto, parmesan that complimented both dishes. For dessert, we enjoyed warm carrot cake. Ponte is one of, if not the best restaurant in Tampa top to bottom.

I went on a Sunday and had the best experience. The ambiance was beautiful--everything was clean, the noise level was not loud at all, and I loved the lighting and overall atmosphere of the open-concept space. It felt comfortable, elevated, and easy to enjoy a full meal without feeling overwhelmed or rushed. Our server was training someone, but you couldn't even tell--it was so professional. One thing I noticed was how many people work there, and I really hope it stays that way. Each staff member had a specific role, and it made the entire service feel seamless. There was no rushing and no stress on the servers. You could tell they really enjoyed what they were doing. They also offer complimentary valet, and you can even Venmo a tip, which made arrival and departure super easy. At the end of our meal, someone even came to box up our food for us--we didn't have to do it ourselves. Very old school NY!!! Top-tier service. As for the food: the oysters we had were flavorful, and the garlic bread selection was soft and not overly heavy on the garlic. My friend ordered the scallops with risotto and crispy prosciutto, and I ordered the special chicken Parmesan with a side of spaghetti in a lemon sauce that they suggested. I was in the mood for a lemon-flavored pasta, and they absolutely delivered. Both plates were phenomenal. I wish they had a place like this in Orlando. I also wish the chicken parm would always be a special because that sauce was delicious. Growing up in Brooklyn, I've had some really good Italian food--and I would absolutely come back here. I'd give service five stars and food five stars. Thank you for a great meal--you did not disappoint.

Every dish was excellent -- fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. Dessert was just as memorable: a chocolate gelato and a pistachio gelato topped with espresso. A perfect finish. What made the night truly meaningful was the kindness of the serving staff and the manager, who took the time to greet us and make our anniversary feel genuinely special. Really, I came for cake, but I stayed for...everything else. I got good vibes upon visiting here with my pup Muffin. The folks at the hostess stand were super welcoming and seated me right away. Very shortly I was greeted by my wonderful server Amber. She told me all about the restaurant which had me even more excited to come here for dinner. She also gave me great recs for drinks. Being that it was a SUPER HOT day I went for a non-alcoholic drink (because I barely drink) and Amber recommended Ruby Slippers, which is basically a strawberry basil lemonade. OMG SSSSOOO refreshing, and when I dumped my water into the glass to get more of the flavor it helped quench my thirst. For my appetizer, their fried green tomatoes. Generous portion, lightly breaded and crisp, practically a tempura. Came with a thick dipping sauce with dill that was rich and refreshing all the same. For my dinner I went with the steak salad. Normally I don't do salad for dinner unless I'm unimpressed with the menu, but that was not the case here, rather I just wanted to eat a little lighter. I thought the steak salad would be a great choice. What impressed me with it is that it wasn't overly large like salads tend to be at other places, and had a great variety of ingredients including shaved gruyere. My steak was cooked PERFECTLY (I went with medium rare). The portion size was PERFECT and I could see myself eating this on a normal lunch day. And of course, I've saved THE BEST for last. The major reason why I came. Their signature namesake dish. WHISKEY CAKE. I was pretty fully at the end of the dinner, so I got it to-go. Turns out, it was smart move so I could pair with coffee and really take my time enjoying it. This is some SERIOUS CAKE. Tastes like dreams and toffee with a little bit of a kick. Moist yet dense with a hearty toffee and molasses taste to it, it comes with a side of vanilla cream cheese drizzle that I poured over the toffee and pecan covered top. It was PEFFECTION. So glad to finally try Whiskey Cake, and I would definitely be back--even if it's only to get a cake to-go!
