I came into this Waffle House at an hour when God has logged off and only chaos remains. I wanted waffles. Simple dream. Noble quest. I sat down, ordered my waffles, and immediately felt the air shift like the universe leaning in. The cook locked eyes with me in a way that said, "You're safe here, but anything could happen." That's when the fight started. Not a loud announcement. Not a warning. Just a sudden eruption of humanity about six feet to my left. Chairs screeched. Words were exchanged that have never appeared in the Bible. Somewhere, a jukebox song tried its best to keep playing like nothing was wrong. Meanwhile, my waffles arrived. Golden. Perfect. Steam rising like they knew they were about to be eaten during a pivotal life Moment! Smell of waffles. Syrup pooled. Time slowed. I chewed thoughtfully while two grown adults debated tate and poor decision-making behind me. The staff? Absolute professionals. One employee broke up the fight with the confidence of someone who's done this before and still had my coffee refilled without spilling a drop. That's skill. That's training. Waffle House always holds good memories. As I'm older a belly full of waffles doesn't hold me over very well and there is usually quite a long wait. The staff has always been friendly. The restaurant is small and can be loud and crowded. Waffle House just isn't for me but I wouldn't discourage anyone from going. Very Disappointed. Waited 35min for 1 waffle and double hashbrown. Families came and went, to go orders came and went still then only did i get my order. Waffle was overcooked, and the waiter asked if that was too overcooked for my liking. I told him it looked kinda hard and overcooked but I have waited for 30min and I couldn't wait longer. See photo. ( I added butter and syrup). Long story below. Walked in to place a to order. As soon as I walked in, I was not greeted nor given any direction on where I can sit. That didnt bother me till i saw others getting the full treatment. I didn't want to take up any counter space so i sat in the waiting chairs. Looking around I can tell the place was at 80% capacity so i figured they were busy. I saw orders coming out, coffee being refilled, workers chatting it up with customers, but still no one took my order or even acknowledged me. 5min later, another family of 3 walk in and was greeted by the waitress and directed where to sit, the waiter immediately gave them menus and took their drink order. At this point i was concerned that i if didn't speak up and get my order in, my order would take longer. I waited by the register and no one acknowledged me again, a waitress passed by and made eye contact with me and I said "excuse me" and she walked right on by. Another waiter turned, looked at me and turned back around. So i called him again, "Sir, i would like to place a to-go order". At that point the smiles came out and I was able to place my order. I sat down, feeling accomplished. As i sat down, another ladie walked in and was greeted and asked how can we help you. She placed a to-go order also and it was a double hashbrown. Another 10min passed and the family of 3 received their order and was getting refills on drinks. The guy looked at me and said, we are working on your order now. I was settled. another 15min later, the family of 3 paid and was gone. The ladie with the to-go order of double hashbrowns was called, she paid and left. I stood up and asked and the guy said, "you wanted a pecan waffle right". I said yes and double hash. He then went made it and 5min later i stood up again. At this point we hit the 33min mark. I still kept my smile on my face and respectable composure. When the waiter pointed out my waffle was overcooked and that he can make another one, I was upset. The resturant had cleared out and was about 20% capacity. And i told him, it sucks to see many people come after me, even families, eat, pay and leave and I am still waiting on 1 waffle and hashbrowns. I told him I am fine with the overcooked waffel. The waiter said, "I understand man." Suffice to say it was worth leaving this review. I would not recommend this place for the service and the mediocre food. read more

Really I don't know if you can go wrong with Waffle House. You know what you are getting if you are going lol. They have some of the best coffee, sorry Starbucks I said what I said. The food is perfect anytime of the day, we prefer it around midnight. The waffles with peanutbutter chips is one of our favorites with a side of crispy bacon and hashbrowns drowned in ketchup. read more

First off, if you're from the south you know about Waffle House. So lemme lower your expectations Ohio, it's a dive breakfast spot. It's known in the south for the after club hours spot honestly. But the food is fresh and cooked in front of you, the service might be super friendly or busy as hell and can't chat long. It is what it is. Arrived at 0100H on July 29, 2021. Walked in to three tables dining on rest room side and big chains all over remainder of seating. Three associates were in uniform and on the clock. I was denied dine in service. When asked why? I was told that the General Manager would be in at 0700H and that I could talk to him. So I began to leave and was finally offered to go order. I declined citing that I did not like eating off the pavement. So I was in my car looking up dine in restaurants and the person in charge approach my car ask me if I wanted to dine in because one of the three tables left and were finished I went ahead and dined in the two people that I could see in the front line were very nice to me both men the young man back in the dish room never came out so I dined in food was very good server and person in charge treated me very well I left a large tip because I figured server was struggling with mass loss of business only 20% of the restaurant was open I can't understand this at all Ohio at this moment has no restrictions hasn't had any restrictions for a long time there was ample employees to handle all the tables on a Wednesday night very disturbing not the first time this has happened at this store read more

From the moment we walked in we knew this was going to be a different experience from our usual late night Waffle House venture. We went for breakfast around 9:30 and we were greeted by the entire staff saying good morning-a genuine good morning not a forced one. Then our server... omg our server. Chelsea needs to be a poster child for customer service and making every customer feel special. As we sat eating our food, Chelsea (and her sidekick Samantha) greeted EVERY PERSON that walked through the door by name. The energy in the restaurant was unbelievable. The stereotypical Waffle House; friendly staff, good location. Seems like everyone in Springboro heading for I-75 commuting to work drives through the Tim Horton's for breakfast. I'm happy to see Waffle House open, but they're on the wrong side of the street for that traffic. Wanting that small town diner experience, my wife and I chose to go to Waffle House in Springboro for a late late dinner. Living in Springboro and having never been there we made a great choice! The nicest restaurant experience we've had in a long time! We were greeted when we walked in and our server Jeffery was Johnny on the spot! My wife and I were somewhat entertained by the staff as servers placed orders to the grill "boss". The grill boss would say to the server "on your mark" as he waited for the server to translate the order back. When the server was ready he would say "mark my order and drop 2 Texas toast steak and cheese" (and the rest of the order). The grill boss would repeat the order back. It was the most professional, military style with precision execution to our order I've ever witnessed. It's been a long time since we've eaten at a Waffle House, but the food is way better than I ever remembered. Seems like a new menu. Usually visit dayton mall location, decided to switch it up tonight and tried the Springboro location. Never again! Waitress was friendly, but the Cook who i think was a manager, should not cook. The bacon was burnt, waffle burnt, sausage burnt, and the rest of my fiance meal didnt come out together. I sent my meak back, however my fiance, trying to be polite because he was so hungary ate his anyways. We never received drink refills and were never offered drink refills until the end when we got the bill. If your going to go to waffke house, dayton mall location is only one ill ever go to again. Been going here a lot the past few months, like once a week. Usually I have no problems. We had issues one day with bad service, but there were some new people, etc. Every other time it's great. Even though it's a Waffle House, my favorite there is the double cheeseburger. The staff is very friendly and it's really an experience when we go. I've only ever been to this WH, so I don't know how friendly others are, but this place stands out from other restaurants on that. The least busy times are afternoon through evening. Absolutely the worst service. My wife and kids got there ahead of me and told the server there would be one more joining them but were ready to order. No one took the order or even checked on them for 40 minutes. 2 of the 3 employees went outside and left one guy there working by himself while they took a 15 minute smoke break.
