This place is amazing all there food is great especially there wings this place has become my 1 option of dining

Me and boo doordashed this a little later at night and we were not disappointed with the price or the food. We loved the concept of the square cut round pizza, and it made the medium feel like a large. We ordered the Bbq chicken pizza with no bacon and right now they are in one of our top 2's for pizza. Definitely will order again when we crave pizza read more

The Barrel - Not the prettiest but they are delicious!! - Dive Bars Near Me - Springboro, Ohio

Service was not that good. Had to find waitress to request refill of drink. Easy to find because just talking with other waitress. Had to provide credit card even through we were paying with cash. Philly cheese steak sandwich was very rough. read more

Great food and a great place to see a band. The cauliflower pizza crust is great!! And the sampler is huge. We've also stopped in on a week night with just a solo singer and had a nice experience. read more

The Barrel is a decent place for some beers with friends. They have a full bar but the beer selection is typical domestics. Food is as expected in a dive bar. Fun atmosphere and definitely a regulars spot; heavily frequented by law enforcement. Overall solid dive bar. read more

The Barrel - Plenty of dart boards (sadly electronic) and pool table - Dive Bars Near Me - Springboro, Ohio

The space they cook their food can't be considered a kitchen. But this is America and you can pretty much do what you want if you line the right pockets (I mean it is a Police Bar). Just because you put an oven and sink in a space doesn't mean it's fit to be considered a safe space to cook food in. If you go to this bar, before you order, ask to see where they prepare/store their food and you'll see why they call this a Dive Bar. Oh yeah, I worked here for about 3-4 shifts (including drag night years ago) before I landed another job so I've seen how this place operates. Lastly they decided not to pay me for the shifts I worked because I ended up quitting this Godforsaken place. Every chance I get to expose the unsanitary environment I experienced as an employee and patron I'm going to do it. I'd hate for anyone to visit The Barrel and possibly get sick or mistreated. Don't waste your money, your dignity, or your time at The Barrel. "Get Wasted" safely elsewhere!! read more

We visited on Friday night around 6:15 and there was only a few people there. The music was so loud we could barely hear the person sitting next to us. We ordered our food, 3 Pizza Burgers with tots and waited about an hour and 15 mins for the tots to come out cold. The pizza burger looked like it would be really good, but the burger patty itself was horrible. It tasted like it was the cheapest burger patty they could get their hands on. When the bill came, it was wrong. Our half off app was full price and we got charged for another parties beer. Instead of waiting another hour to get it fixed, we paid it and left. The waitress was nice, but by the time our food came, the restaurant was busy and was seriously understaffed. We will not be back. read more

Excellent pizza, seriously for the pizza lovers this is a must-have if you're in the area. It's a fine bar.

It's nice and spacious here. The music is great! I was surprised to see that there weren't any masks being worn during COVID. I was able to keep my distance. There's a wide variety of drinks. I liked the draft varieties. They had liquor and bottle service too. They even serve fishbowls. The pizza looks really good. They've got a big patio out back and a pool table inside. They even have a party room. I'm digging these barrel tables. I came for drinks and music. It was nice to get out and it's calm. The service is fast and friendly and there's a dozen televisions to watch sports. read more

The Barrel - Brent James @the Barrel - Dive Bars Near Me - Springboro, Ohio

I reserved one of the rooms at The Barrel for an after-hours work party and couldn't have been more pleased with everything! The staff was attentive and friendly, and went above and beyond to accommodate our group. They even added decorations from their own stash to make it more festive. The biggest hit was the pizza...everyone RAVED about it! We enjoyed several appetizers and a variety of drinks, as well. I've been to The Barrel many times over the years to enjoy a drink with friends after work. I will definitely book more corporate events there, too. read more

My favorite local bar! Great atmosphere. Friendly & fun staff. Great live music. Amazing dive bar food! Try their smoked wings (WOW) , their chicken nachos, or their pizza! So so good! They have a great bourbon and beer selection! We're bourbon snobs and we find their selection to always be impressive! There's ALWAYS something fun going on at The Barrel! Go check them out for lunch or dinner... or to catch some great live music! They keep their Facebook page updated with their daily lunch specials and their events, so go follow that page! read more

Always a great time. Great food. They always have something going on, dj, live music or karaoke. Friendly faces. Great atmosphere. This local establishment also supports local residents and host benefits for the community. read more

We stopped by on Memorial Day for a drink and lunch! Service was quick and very friendly. Sarah recommended the snack wrap and it was GREAT!

The pizza is good. That's the only positive I have about this place after four visits. The bartenders and older female (manager??) Are all smiles and hugs with the regulars, but if you don't fall into that category, fuhgeddaboutit. Borderline hostile. Our table was short a chair one night, so I grabbed one from a nearby table. Within moments, the aforementioned older lady was next to me, grabbing that chair because it was from a Reserved table (maybe a Regular). Said she'd get me another chair, which she did. I was standing at my table, talking to friends, and she jammed the new chair into my leg and stomped away. If you're here to drink, get beer or something in a can. Different visit, ordered a Moscow mule at the bar. "Bartender" filled the small cup to the very top with their super crushed ice. No room for liquid. Couldn't taste the vodka, just ginger beer, and there was very little of it due to the ice. And what did I pay for this gem? $13. Fool me once... But hey, the pizza is okay. read more

First night out in a bar setting in 6 months. Only came out to the barrel to listen to Brent James. It's a nice place to hang out and grab some drinks and food. During covid though I would expect a little more cleaning. The restroom was filthy and I ordered draft beer and I watched the lady grab 2 dirty glasses off the table then spray with water and serve me a beer in It. I can't stand when a band is trying to perform for small amount of money and the people over talk the music. No respect for what they are doing. read more

Great pizza! They have great bands playing there. And it has convenient parking. It's easy to find right off I75 in Springboro.

I met a friend there for Karaoke on Tuesday night. We had both been to many karaoke places over the years and are seasoned performers. The bar was relatively quiet. The karaoke sound and lighting was very nice. One of the best setups I've seen lately. A lot of the regulars there were good singers as well as the deejay (who impersonated several popular new country singers). Read further. Food: The appetizer combo was good (all fried foods, would have liked to have had some other options). People said they had good pizza. We were stuffed by the breaded and fried appetizer. Why only a two?: The downer is that when the disk jockey drank his third bucket of beers, he had become far more interested in disk jockeying and scratching, standing on a table, and having his fun rather than the karaoke advertised and it slowed down the show immensely to where it was time to leave. So. Good start but the thing got to be annoying rap and hip hop shit instead. Leave that for the deejays. read more

If you love live music and great food, this is your place! The staff is friendly and top notch! We appreciate The Barrell'

As an outsider who only travels to the Dayton area 1-2 times per year, The Barrel has THE best wings. And then the pizza is top notch too. Literally some of the best pizza and wings I've ever had. And on top of that, the staff is always extremely hospitable and attentive. Lots of TVs for sports too. Their wings are one of a kind. You won't regret coming to this place. read more

Please disregard my negative review of the Barrel. My beef is with the corporate greed of Touch tunes Inc. Allowing "play next" lines their pockets with money while corrupting old school first come , first serve ethics....... The Barrel rocks!!!! Michael B read more

This is Dayton's version of the Double Deuce except Patrick Swayze's rule was to be nice. They don't follow that rule here. I felt like they thought they were doing me a favor by serving me old stale beer that had been there for God knows how long. They were nice enough however to admit it was old and poured me a new beer of my choice. Choice...that was the tough part and made for a rocky start. They have 12 or better taps and NO beer list. "We have what you see" I was told. Ok, what is the 50 West? "I don't know. I think it's an IPA". Ok, what is the Founders? " I think it's an IPA too" HUH?!! Who operates this way? The men's room had at least a five gallon bucket of piss on the floor, people write on the walls, and they had many patches where people apparently punch and kick holes in the walls. They have TouchTunes, dart boards, and 4 pool tables. This may be a place you like. I feel there are so many other FRIENDLY options in the area I don't feel a need to ever return for rude service and old beer. read more

The wings and food are great. Smoked wings, drinks are typical, but do not go here if you expect to have a conversation with someone within 1 foot of you on a night with a live band. You will have a migraine with an inability to speak with anyone at your table. It is truly miserable to be here on a night with live music. It used to be a great place to eat and enjoy your night with billiards and darts with others, but with a live band, it really is a miserably loud experience. I will not be back and I'm a millennial who enjoys live music. read more

Great dive bar. The bartenders were extremely friendly and talked to my friends and I the entire night. There are 4 pool tables, which is difficult to find and they have a patio out back. My friends and I are veterans and we were welcomed by everyone and did not have any issues. read more

We love this place. Great pizza (meat lovers is the best), craft beers on tap, super-friendly staff and owners, heaps of pool tables, beer pong tables and darts. Wednesday nights are burger, fries and a domestic beer for less than $5! Kids welcome but not after 9pm. Fair enough! Great dive bar. read more

Our service was terrible. Looked like one server on the floor. Wasn't busy when we got there, but did fill up shortly afterwards. Calzone was burnt and drinks were water, koolaid had more flavor than the drinks. Out server couldn't even tell us what type of margaritas they had. read more

Big outdoor patio out back, big inside with pool, darts, I think some other games. Lots of TVs. New ownership in 2018. Bar service not fast and had to be flagged down after 10 minutes waiting with 3 behind bar. I have not had any food here but full bar. Convenient location off I-75 with lots of parking. read more

This place is our go to place when in Springboro. The staff is always friendly and know about their beers on tap. The pizza is in our top 5 of all time. Always have great events going on as well. Come check it out, you'll be glad you did! read more

This is a good place if you are 23 and loud especially at happy hour, they actually have a nice selection of bourbon but not sure who will pay for good whisky when it's nothing more than a buddy hang out! Terrible service, but if that's what they are catering to...they have succeeded read more

Started going there about 5 years ago. Now it's my watering hole. Most of the food is pretty decent. Priced good for Springboro. A patio out back with Corn Hole and Fire Pit to sit around. Not completely done yet but under new ownership and she is making a difference. It reminds me of "CHEERS" were everybody knows your name. read more

Well, we ordered our pizza fairly early in our group. Food came, and came, and came. Not ours. People are starting to leave in our group and finally go to the bar and ask when are we ever going to get our food. She says I took it out there. Well, we never received it. I think it was never put in or given to someone else. They managed to FINALLY give us a pizza. Course the one who delivered it looked at us like we were thieves stealing a pizza. Babe we are in our 60's. We don't eat and entire pizza and then try to get another. Pathetic read more

The whiskey Barrel is one of the only bars I go to. They are always getting more beers on tap. Every food item I have gotten has been delicious. Never had a problem with getting service even on super busy nights. Everyone has been friendly and respectful. Never have seen any of the negative things people have talked about on here. A great bar and grill and absolutely worth checking out read more

The Whiskey Barrel over the last few years has become one of my favorite places to visit. I come here on a pretty frequent basis! The people that work there are awesome, killer pizza, and great beer selection! They frequently get new beers on tap, which is great if your a craft beer connoisseur. I'm by no means a bourbon drinker, but I would say they have one of the best selections of that in the area! All in all a great place! So if your looking for a new place to try, do yourself a favor and stop by sometime! read more

They have a habit of "accidentally" overcharging you. It's happened to me on a few times. The food is edible but the service is slow when they have more than 2 customers. Also, I left my debit card there one evening and the bar tender/owner gave herself an extremely generous tip without my consent. Frickin crooks read more

Went there last night for the first time. The service was excellent, the beer prices and food were good. We had the $5 Burger special. Unique french fries. The place was clean. We spoke with the manager quite a bit, and she was very friendly. Only suggestion is to have the beer menu on more than 1 TV. Would go back again! read more

The best place ever the staff is so friendly and efficient the food is amazing I would go there every day

Visited The Barrell last weekend. Pizza was delicious and the wings are awesome, but the service is terrible. Five people behind the bar and no one will even look at you much less to take your order and it wasn't even busy. Don't expect a person to come to your table to take your order. You have to go to the bar to place the order. read more

The Whiskey Barrel hmmm I would have to say it's one of those little bars as soon as you walk in the door you feel like you stopped at an old friends house it's laid back atmosphere and the friendly staff keep me coming back. The lunch specials are amazing you can't beat the special on Wednesday $4.50 for a cheeseburger fries and draft beer. So if your looking for a little bar where you can kick back and play a game pool or darts I recommend "The Whiskey Barrel" stop in and say hi to Dawn one of the best bartenders around. read more

An excellent dive. I only wish they had some actual bartenders. The one woman had no idea how to make a White Russian. At least they didn't charge me for it. It's the place where people my age and a little older gather, and I like to associate with people in my age range. read more
