Stopped by here for lunch with my neighbor. We were seated immediately & our server took our drink order. She informed us appetizers were half price so I ordered a chicken quesadilla & also spinach dip. My neighbor got the boneless buffalo wings & a side of fries. Our food came out in a timely manner. The spinach dip was served with fresh hot tortilla chips & it was very good. The chicken quesadilla was served with sour cream & was delicious. I will definitely return just to eat that. My boyfriend and I had a long day and a gift card so we found ourselves at this Applebee's for an early dinner yesterday. There was only a few people inside, so no wait. We asked for a booth and could tell that the host was a bit annoyed with by his response, a sigh and "it'll be a minute, I have to clean one off" He wasn't rude, I just took it as a typical teenage response. He cleaned one off (why wasn't it clean already, no one was there?) and showed us the way. A few minutes later the host returned to take our drink orders and brought our water. A bit of time passed before anyone came to take our order but it wasn't long enough that we were annoyed yet. The server (who I later found out was the manager) apologized and took our order. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Another server brought my drink (ordered with dinner) and explained that she had just arrived and would be taking care of us. She told us the manager had put our food order in and that it would be ready soon. Our food arrived perfectly cooked and delicious. He got Chef Bulgari Pasta that came with a breadstick that he said was delicious. I got a steak with broccoli and mashed potatoes that was cooked very well. I ate everything and would order it again. All in all, service was a bit slow but it sounds like it was because of a snag and I appreciate that the manager stepped in to help and had never skipped a beat. I will never return to the Springboro Applebee's. The place was freezing blowing ice Cold air down on us on our table and food. I asked several people if they could fix the air that it wasn't so cold and they said okay nobody ever came back to check on us nothing was fixed nobody checked. I then asked for the manager when we were leaving and I told him how I was feeling and he goes oh sorry I told her to go back and check us and he goes well we have somebody coming this week to fix the air conditioner. I told him nobody ever came back to check on us or offered us to a different table to help us feel more comfortable. I should have walked out the door like I did last time as soon as I walked in it was freezing cold. I will be calling the corporate office to complain! read more

My husband and I were out and decided to stop by this Applebee's for an early dinner. But, then I was checking it out here and saw all the negative reviews. We still thought we would give them a chance. And I'm glad we did. The service was great. We were seated right away. And our service couldn't have been better. Our server was very attentive, making sure we were taken care of. Since we were just having an early dinner. We just had appetizers and salads. The only complaint we had, was that they had taken French dressing off their menu. The rest of our food was great! We will probably be back! read more

So love going here only real complaint is it says in steak menu they all come with two sides but the bourbon street steak which is in that area of the menu only comes with the mashed potatoes. I feel if this is the case and doesn't come with two sides you need to move it out of that section. The rest of the steaks come with two but why not that one. The service was good. The food at this location seems to be getting worse. Was in this afternoon and the French onion soup was good the ravioli was bland. No point talking to management as they seemed to busy to deal with a half empty restaurant that the staff seemed I'll prepared to serve. Hope they can get back on track soon. read more

It's the weirdest thing - a "Tchotke's" style bar and grill chain location that has proven to be reliable and not sucky over the years we have patronized it. We've never had a truly bad or even mediocre experience at this Franklin location. The food is middling to good (it's a chain, nothing is really going to take your breath away) but servers and management here really seem to care and most items are prepared very competently. This location is far more consistent than some local indie places and local chains I could mention (cough Archer's cough). read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I received a $25 Applebee's gift card as a present at our wedding. We had been saving it for a good occasion, and even brought my younger sister since she loves Applebee's. We called ahead to make sure the 25cent wing deal was still happening, and was told it was for boneless plain or mild. Turns out there is no mild, only hot, but okay fine. When we got there, you could tell that obviously none of the staff knew what they were doing, what the specials were etc. I will say that our waitress was very nice though. We each got 12-16 wings mild, two appetizers, a $1 cranberry vodka drink, and two of the rainbow lemonades. My husband ordered the cranberry vodka, (it tried not to have high hopes considering they were only $1), but it had absolutely no vodka, lots of ice, and obviously cranberry juice. They should've just advertised it as $1 cranberry juice shots for toddlers. Then came the appetizers. I will say they were okay, probably the best part of the whole experience. The 25 cent wings were the most horrible thing I have ever tasted in my life. Not only were they worse than frozen Tyson chicken from Kroger (which isn't saying much) but they were barely room temp. The outside was hard, inside was soggy, and the sauce was cold and god awful. We had leftover wings but decided to leave them, as our dogs wouldn't have even wanted them. I don't know about you, but by that point I figured it wasn't even worth complaining about. What a waste of a wedding gift card. read more

I've been coming to this Applebee's for years now, and it has slowly gone down hill. My family and I went in and got $0.25 wings and they were all cold in the middle. This is a terrible restaurant and has terrible food and service. I used to frequently eat there in the past until the service and food got so bad that I stopped for years. Thought I'd give it a try again recently and what a mistake that was. I get my steak well done always and it has NEVER once been correct there. I always have pink or like this very last time burnt on the outside while still being half pink inside. Half the steak ( which is no where near the size pictured on menus) was pure fat chunks. Ordered no mushrooms. Got mushrooms. Ordered chips and salsa. Got chips and spinach cheese dip. Very small side portions. Terribly small amount of food for the price and quality. Calling the manager, I was met with how I could get a free entre or come pick up a replacement. I had the entire meal ruined yet it wouldn't be replaced fully but only partially. How nice. Doesn't matter anyway. I'll never eat there again. This place absolutely sucks! read more

Today I'm here with a group of 10 friends for lunch on a Saturday .. and they set-up a large table for us in less than five minutes. Pitiful, service extremely slow nearly took a hour to get food , ordered steak and shrimp Parmesan with loaded baked potato steak was supposed to be medium but was cold and raw I mean can't cut raw and I told my wife I think the potato was not cooked after I finally got the center mashed down took a bite and it was cold with ice crystals in the loaded part ,not very many people in there at all on a Sunday evening during the NCAA tournament so it wasn't like they had a crowd probably 8 tables had customers. I used to love coming here, the food used to be good and the staff was always friendly. Lately everytime I've gone the food seems old, dry, like its just been reheated instead of freshly made. Usually we would get the appetizer sampler platter, the spinach dip tasted like soap, the mozzarella sticks were cold, the wings were dry and old tasting, just all around bad food. I may try again in the next few months or so to see if it's improved because it used to be so good. read more

The service was pretty good. I felt like my waitress was really pushy, but overall did an excellent job. Now moving on to the food. I got an order of chips and salsa as my appetizer it was fantastic. My entrée was the 4-cheese Mac + Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders. It was absolutely magnificent. One of the best meals I've received from any Applebee's. My overall experience from this Applebee's was excellent. My only piece of advice is the service needs to improve a tiny a bit. read more

This is one of my favorite, fast, sit down restaurant. It has a great atmosphere. It's even a great place for children. They have a wonderful bar with delicious specially drinks. While traveling we decided to stop because Applebee's has always been a safe choice for a clean restaurant and a generally good meal. Not the case here. The seasoned chicken breast is in actuality better described as salt encrusted. The top sirloin was full of gristle, tough and had no flavor. The meals were at best regrettable. The most unprofessional managerI've ever had to deal with. I ordered online through their actual website paid with my credit card and had it delivered. When it got here part of my meal was missing, mistakes happen so I wasn't to mad. However, when I spoke to the manager he said he was sorry but there was nothing he could do to help me except that I could drive myself to the restaurant and get another meal. Well I orders online for delivery because I couldn't actually go there in the first place, which I told him and he said he was not going to do anything else to help and basically said oh well. I asked him to just refund my meal to which he said he was unable to do. He was rude and unhelpful the whole time and basically said it was the delivery persons fault. How is it the delivery persons fault exactly? Did the driver go into their kitchen, cook my food, box it up and then deliver it to me? No it was the fault of Applebee's and their staff. Like I said it wouldn't had been that big of an issue except the manager was terrible. I've been a manager of several restaurants and a store and the way he handled my situation was not the way I would have ever handled a customer complaint. I have been coming to this location for lunch for once a week for the past 2 years. The last couple of months the service has gotten worse and worse. Today is the end. Three of us in our party. 2 endless soup and salad, 1 bacon cheeseburger and fries. Soup & salads out in 10 minutes. Cheeseburger 20 minutes later. We were done with soup and salad when cheeseburger showed up, we order another soup & salad at this time. Another 20 minutes goes by. I ask for manager, explain our situation and we only have 1 hour for lunch. He comps my soup & salad. Waitress disappeared for another 10 minutes, shows up with checks. We pay and wait for her return. After waiting 10 more minutes, I spoke to the hostess, she was upset and knew we were longtime customers. When waitress showed up with change I told her when she has customers who have a time problem she should try to help expedite their exit. Her response, this is my 2nd day. I hope someone other than the manager sees this. This location will probably be another casualty of bad customer service. read more
