Still a one star for me. 9 months, several phone conversations, and promises of refund, and JD Legends still owes me $121.

This review is based off of my evening going to JD Legends to see The Blues Travelers - first real chance to see a major concert since the whole CoVid pandemic bullshit happened. The billing was for 2 fairly acclaimed national acts. Besides the Blues Travelers, Blessed Union of Souls was on the billing for the evening. Tickets were priced at $35 accordingly for both bands but BUOS backed out due to a conflict at Cincinnati Hard Rock Casino. So we paid $35 but lost out on a good opening band playing from 7:30 to 8:45pm with no compensation. Next is the whole parking bull crap. Nowhere in advance is it mentioned that there is an extra $5 to $10 parking fee and the lot on Legend's premise is reserved for their VIP guests. Now you are forced to park on the shopping mall lot across the street then walk to the venue. But if you do you can take advantage of a decent pizza joint in the strip mall therefore avoiding the overpriced food at the concert. That can be an unexpected plus to going to a show here. Ok so you park & go eat at the pizza joint then make your way over to JD Legends finally. The place is pretty much an old run down building used as a bowling alley way back in the 1970s but bowling is a dying sport so to generate revenue the owner decided to put up an outside stage in a sand volleyball area off to the side of the place. Not a bad idea in a way but it just isn't done right. It's as if they found some jerry rigging half ass contractor who was told what they were trying to achieve with the stage area & away he went building a semi bullshit outdoor arena. Point is- it could be way better. The sound system is adequate but missing some needed sound. Here I am listening to one of the best harmonica players around & you can not hear it. Poor board mixing or just the cheapest sound gear? I do not know for sure but it should be better. Now it rained like a mother this evening & therefore things were dicey on timing. Somehow things got pulled off yet all the place really needs to do is extend a canopy out over the stage to protect everything for rain. Maybe a $5000 investment in order to keep the band members, VIP patrons, equipment nice & dry. Also- get your asses out there to rake the sand prior to the show. Can't be that hard to do. I doubt I will ever find myself back at this place. Not because it sucks but really just because it's a bit of a hike for me & im not sure if they'll really get the sort of bands I would be willing to see there. If you're reading this considering going to a show there, just understand in advance that expectations should be on the moderate level & you can still pull off a decent time seeing a band there... as long as you just go with the flow

First time there with a friend. Another friend couldn't attend Clayton Anderson's concert so I gladly accepted. This country singer did not disappoint but neither did the venue! It wasn't very crowded so I really enjoyed the less busy atmosphere. Our waitress (I forget her name regrettably) was amazing-serving, personality and friendliness. I found the other staff very pleasant as well. Great appetizers, cold beer and clean restrooms made for a great night out. I'll be back!

This is the second time I have tried to enjoy dinner here but they have a live musician playing so loud that it makes you ears bleed. I believe they do it so you won't stay at your table talking. Was the food good? Who cares if the experience sucks.

Hard to see from the club seats. Don't spend the money

Wow. Paid extra for club seating so we could be close to stage. So, after a while they cleared the area. Kayla, our Waitress was excellent. I was amazed our bill was correct (we had 2 couples to split). She was efficient and very personable. I give her 5 stars!

I went to JD ledgends for a concert last Friday. The entry was very well organized. I love the atmosphere- I didn't mind the sanding in the sand while listening to Cody jinks. Made me feeling I was at the beach.

Wow! Restaurant is absolutely amazing. I don't think anyone knows about it. The bacon and blue burger was that of a five star restaurant. Cheese curds and green friend tomatoes were great starters. A decent draft selection and specialty drinks for a great price. We (3 kids 2 adults) will be back for sure and maybe next time do some bowling.

Online it says the concert starts at 5:30, what time should I actually expect the concert to start? I have an obligation before that doesn't end until 5. I just want to make sure I won't miss the show?

Depends on who you are seeing. If it is the main concert then it will not start until 9 or 9:30. They usually have two bands prior to the main act that start around 6.

High marks for a genuine tavern serving up delicious tavern food (not "bar" food). It's a spacious…read moreand comfortable eatery with loads of natural light coming in from huge front windows. High and low top wooden tables available plus a big three sided bar. All seats have backs. We came on New Years Day so the weekday lunch specials were available. I got the grilled cheese of the month (shaved Italian beef, I chose banana peppers, tomato and mayo as toppings). It was perfect. The buttery sourdough bread is ideal for this type of sandwich, and the homemade tomato bisque rich and creamy with a nice little spice kick. The parmesan kettle chips were incredibly delicious. Usually I'm not a fan of kettle chips being too hard but these were nice and crispy. Lots of good food to eat for ten bucks! My husband had Mr B's burger and upgraded to sidewinder potatoes. Two thumbs up on both. Sometimes it's the little things that really put it over the top. Mr B's has spicy brown mustard available and make sure you ask for some to dip those soft and salty buckeye pretzel bites! Try it and thank me later. Service was excellent from being greeted, getting questions answered, to being checked on and finally having our leftovers boxed up. There are a number of large screen TVs but not an excessive number. This delightful tavern is not a sports bar, though they have an amazing homage to the Ohio State Buckeyes with one wall displaying a rather amazing panoramic shot of the packed stadium. Very happy with Mr B's. They are open every day and I will definitely return.
