I swung by On Par for some mid day fun in Dayton and had a fun time! I thought it was cool that you could get cocktails on tap, I've seen wine bars like that but never other spirits. We did mini bowling and played mini golf for a while. The orperations themed course was definitely nostalgic, that was one of my fav games growing up. Mini golf was so much fun! They have three different courses to choose from, and some of the holes were unlike anything I've seen before -- super creative and cool. You can pour your own drinks using a preloaded card, which was a fun touch and lets you sample whatever you want. We didn't try the other activities, but they also have darts, bowling, and private karaoke rooms. It's a big place with a food menu too, though we didn't eat while we were there. It was my first visit. After hearing about the pour your own beer taps, I wanted to go. When you check in, they give you a card after it's linked your own cc. You can order food, play pool, putt putt golf, buy a million beers by the ounce (taste them all). You can rent a karaoke room ( it's $79 an hour ). When you finish you return the card to a clear lucite box. There are choices for tip level from no tip up to I think 30%. So you can drink, eat, play, check out and leave without having to wait in a line. My group had some magical misty time outdoors with the fire and tree lights. It had been raining a solid week. We have gone twice this week and had great experiences both times! Taps were all working, except one, which was fixed immediately. They had a great selection of different brews, domestic and craft beers, wines and the cocktails were good. The food was excellent and had huge portions. I have recommended it to several people already! We have had the wings & fries (Saturday 1-5 they are half off-a great deal) the pretzel (huge and tasty) and the cheese curds (you get a ton!!) which were all fast, well cooked and delicious. The taps didn't seem too overpriced to me and I like that you can make your own flights and garnish your own drinks! The fact that soft drinks are free for the DDs and kids is great, my teens enjoyed making their own mocktails with the juices, pops and garnishes! This is a very modern gaming, food and drinks entertainment center. Love it. Especially on the mostly self service aspect, which saved so much hassle from dealing with servers and delays. The only time you need to talk to the staff is when checking in the front, outside of that, you can help yourself with beer, cocktails, soft drinks, and ordering food, love it. Front desk staff were very friendly. The facility is spacious with variety games, very clean, with beautiful furnishings and modern leather sofas. We had a great time with the Angry Birds bowl, you don't need bowling shoes for this, and since the balls are much smaller, so more fun to bowl. Price for fun is not cheap, but on the reasonable side, we had a very satisfactory experience & like to recommend On Par to all are interested or visiting the area. read more

So fun and so many options. Something for everyone for sure. The only downside was that everyone wants to have fun here apparently and so the wait times for things were quite long. But that's a good problem to have I guess. We enjoyed the beer taps around the room and how you could serve yourself. The duck pin bowling is always fun. The karaoke was a cool touch. We didn't want to wait the hour for darts but loved the darts area. The gaming area around the putt putt golf looked very fun especially for kids. On Par Entertainment is a fun place to bring family and friends. They have a wide variety of self-pouring taps of beers to ciders to even mixed cocktails. The mixed cocktails, specifically the mule and screwball, were strong! The food was mediocre. We paid $20 for loaded fries that were okay. The portion size was enough to feed maybe 2-4. We paid $40 for 4 people to bowl for 1 hour. The mini bowling balls, pins, and alleys are fun! It gives a different challenge to the game. There are also a few different games you can select when you enter your names to play. More recently we attended On Par's Silent Disco night. The idea and crowd was promising! The night was quite a let down. The music selection was okay, but did not warrant dancing. There were people spread all around with headphones, but no designated dancing area. I think if they shut down the Karaoke room to allow for a designated dancing area, Silent Disco could have been much more fun for everyone involved! On Par has many trivia and event nights that sound very fun, but this one has discouraged me and my friends from coming to any events again. Overall from our past few experiences, On Par is SUB PAR at best. read more

I went over the holiday and had an awesome trip with my family. Our server, Will, was incredible at helping us with all of our needs. We enjoyed the very creative mini-golf courses, had plenty of drinks (there's a lot of variety!) and checked out the duck pin bowling which was fun but the machines were a bit finicky when it came to resetting the pins correctly. Definitely more for fun than competitive. I also really enjoyed the 10 person fooseball table. The only issue I had was with the food... it just wasn't very satisfying. I thought the burger I got looked stunning but was incredibly messy to eat, to the point where I wasn't enjoying my food. My other party members didn't care for the pizza or pretzel we bought. On par was the best time that we had out here! There was so much to do. We grab three rounds of mini golf and a beer card and went to town. The alcohol selection was amazing. The courses were awesome and kept getting even better as we enjoyed a few cocktails. There was so much to choose from here that we came back a second night and did a bunch of other things that we couldn't get to. The staff were super helpful. Someone left a tap open and when I put my card in, it started to pour. I shut it off and let them know and they removed that charge right away. The food selection was great and it was all tasty. Overall it was a neat experience. Pricing is what you'd expect and the crowd isn't too bad if you go about lunch time. Pretzel is one of the best I've ever had, and it's colossal. The problem comes in when you get to the gimmick of the place, which is the self pull serve stations for alcohol. The concept is good, but extremely problematic due to the fact that the cards constantly lock forcing you to spend time waiting in an often lengthy line to reactivate. To the point to where it will happen every 1-2 drinks, which is extremely annoying when you're using a shared tab. While it's understandable that they do this, to ensure no one becomes overly intoxicated, they need to devise a better system. We were in a party of four and ultimately cut our visit short due to the frustration of frequently having to get back into line after 1-2 drinks. read more

We went in today and asked to play one hour of bowling. We were told the wait was 50 mins. We were fine with waiting and played a round of mini golf in the meantime. After about an hour with no text telling us the lane was ready we checked in at the front counter to see how much longer we should expect to wait. We were told WE cancelled our lane. We had not been up to the counter or received any notification. We did not cancel. This was very frustrating and disappointing! By then there were birthday parties starting up and I'm sure the wait would have been even longer. We will not be returning. read more

Great experience. I love the atmosphere and the selection of activities. Level Up mini golf course was fun, and the duckpin bowling was great and I enjoyed the furniture they had while you relaxed. There are plenty of photo opportunities with the decor. The food was also very good. You can order at the screen and then pick up the food. It is a little pricey at about $16+ for a meal, but the portions are huge and completely worth it. They also have a tap wall with alcoholic beverages you can tap your provided card they give you and it will just charge to your card based on how many ounces you pour. Free soda the entire time too! On par is a superb experience with numerous activities for an impromptu day out. The serve yourself beer and liquor taps are an entertaining way to sample a variety of choices, and there is plenty of seating available. There separate nine hole mini golf options are filled with unique holes, including our favorite a "Twister" golf hole that has us all contorting ourselves to much laughter. The pin bowling was fun and we had a good time experimenting with the ring toss on the back wall. Food was good for bar type fare, but most things were designed to be ordered for individuals or small (3-4 people) groups to share. We had to get our own condiments, so service focus was definitely more of a DIY feel. We had a couple hours of fun as well in the main karaoke room and enjoyed exploring the facility. It was a fantastic afternoon and evening with our adult kids and our one teen. We thought we'd spend a couple hours and ended up there for closer to six hours. Here's where they lose a star from me. This looks like an awesome place to host a group event, and we quickly tried to set up a session with them. You can reserve karaoke rooms if that's your focus, or you can reserve one of two "VIP Lounges" for seating in the main area. But you can only do true group events during weekdays (no evenings or weekends). We thought perhaps we could work with them to reserve one or both of the VIP lounges, and just arrange to have some large group food options, but they don't even offer any of those on evenings or weekends, just the ability to order from the main menu which does not really offer much in the way of large group appetizers. Do not mistake my feedback. This place is so much fun. We will definitely go back, especially as a place we can spend time with our adult children and all have something fun to do. I just wish they had some food and service options that were geared toward group / sharing. It is expensive, but the entertainment value felt like it was worth it for us. read more

We didn't check out duck bowling but it looked like a blast. The mini-golf was incredibly unique and nothing like I've ever seen before. The food was good but nothing crazy. I really liked this place but one afternoon I was in the karaoke room and a staff member dropped the ceiling lights (I guess they are adjustable). They fell so fast and so low that if the few people in there didn't duck we would have had our heads bashed in. A few drinks spilled because the lights hit the tables. Despite setting a custom tip lower than this, their system automatically reverts to 20% and charges you as such. I was not in a large party - just me! BBB should investigate this place.
