Beer on tap

Fun place to have a drink and play some cool retro games, for free!!!!! So many beers on tap for very reasonable prices.

I love hanging out at DK Effect! Awesome games from 80's classics like Frogger, Galaga and PAC-man to all the modern pinball classics. The staff are friendly and they always have a huge assortment of beers on tap. There's truly something for every taste. And, although they don't have a kitchen, you can order pizza and food from a great pizza spot next door. DK Effect is a fantastic hang out in Dayton!!

Food is gr8, service is beyond reproach, ambiance is very reminiscent of a 70's/80's old school arcade joint!

DK Effect is another barcade. It uses tokens to play the games. These come free with beer. It's similar to many others of this concept. The games are mostly classics and fun playing. A beer is about $5 for a pint, most of which are local. It has the local breweries including Warped Wing. There's also many others to choose. If you get a beer, you will get 10 tokens. These are allowed to be used in any of the arcade games. Pinball you have to pay for. The arcades include Galacta and Tekken. It has many fighting games, but there are some sports ones like baseball. The games are in pretty good condition. Anyone who likes barcades should come here. It has many games to choose. There's also cheap food on some days like pizza.

Love the atmosphere and craft beer choices. The free video games are a huge plus too. What a unique establishment. If you're hungry they partner with a pizza joint for food, can't go wrong!

Tito's Vodka x Tonic Tokens to play once your purchase a drink.

Ehhh... I was not really feeling it when I ventured here with some friends last week. The vibe just felt "off" to me. First things first, I had to check out the bar scene, and when inquiring about drinks the bartender either wasn't knowledgeable (on their menu nor the special Tuesday Margarita edition) or just didn't feel like being bothered. In my opinion is was the latter of the two, but nonetheless I ended up with a Tito's Vodka x Tonic. The price of my drink wasn't too bad and it was buzz-worthy. So what is one to expect? There are PLENTY of arcade games to choose from, and you receive tokens when you purchase a drink. I cannot remember how many I received, but I do know I did not not stay long enough to use them all. If you are looking for a bite to eat while in there, I do believe they sell pizza from the Pizza Factory by the slice, Taco Tuesday is up and running, and there is a Mexican restaurant across the street. I was mostly impressed by the skee-ball machine, and spent some of my tokens playing it. Right next to it is a gun shooting game, that seemed to be really popular *insert major eye roll here*. After a few plays of skee-ball and my one vodka x tonic, I was ready to roll out. So although I wasn't really feeling this place, I'm not throwing the towel in yet. Maybe it was just an "off" night (we all have those, right?!?), so I plan to return soon and hopefully be WOWed this time. Cheers! -C.Rich

40 beers on tap, over 60 arcade games, including Skee Ball, and a neat signature cocktail list! This is a great little spot! They don't have a kitchen but they have plenty of menus from places that deliver. The arcade games built into the bar was a cool touch!

Truly the hottest bar in dayton! amazing vintage arcade games that remind me of my childhood when I played them in a pizza parlor. Plus 40 beers on tap, craft beers!!!!!! Also fully stocked bar with a variety of liquors. They also make amazing speciality cocktails. Finally the best part is there is a pizza factory pizza cart!!! Best place in Dayton!! If you don't visit you will miss out on a gem

Great staff and great selection of craft beers that change fairly often. Free gameplay and at least 15 pinball machines to enjoy.

Do not go here to play pinball. The machines are overpriced, and not at all maintained or set up properly. Environment is stale.

My girlfriend opted for the glazed salmon which came with rice and asparagus but she substituted the asparagus with mashed potatoes. I had their Thanksgiving fare which included turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans. We ordered the Avocado Deviled Eggs for an appetizer. The Avocado Deviled Eggs were delicious, slightly tart, and had a salsa flavor. We really liked them. My girlfriend really liked her salmon. The portion was a really nice size. My thanksgiving meal was delicious. The turkey was really good, mashed potatoes were nice and creamy, and the green beans were cooked just right. Green beans a lot of times have a tendency to be overcooked where they are a little soggy or undercooked where they are too raw. These were cooked just right. The stuffing was good but a little dry. But I'm not really a stuffing guy. For dessert I had the tiramisu which was in small jar topped with some strawberries! It was also and a great way to end the meal. My girlfriend had the Dark Chocolate Terrine. She said it was dense and rich in chocolate flavor. We did check out the outdoor area after we ate. This would be a really nice place to eat outside in the spring or summer. There was an igloo-style structure you could eat in during colder months. I giving this establishment five stars. We had a 3:30 pm reservation, arrived at 3:00 pm and were immediately seated. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly and the food was really good. It's a trendy restaurant with clean restrooms and this would be an ideal place to eat at with friends and family. It has a casual vibe, not overly classy but still special. Drink options were plentiful and we had a lot of fun! Highly recommended!

The Foundry stays open late (food til 10 pm) so it was a great option. I sat at the bar and had the following: -Bbq short rib (3.5/5; pretty tasty. Short rib was tender and bbq sauce had a nice kick. The rice wasn't cooked properly so it was hard. I wanted to like this dish more...I think the traditional pairing of short rib w mashed potatoes would have been better) -Deviled eggs (3/5; these are mixed w avocado which makes them unique. Unfortunately, the flavor was lacking and needed some spice (Dijon, salt, pickles?) I wouldn't get these again -Oaxacan old fashioned (5/5; this old fashioned was made with tequila and mezcal and a flamed orange peel. The smokiness of this drink was super satisfying) Overall, the drink was amazing, service was great and food was alright.

Here's the fiod we tried: The burger bistro -turkey burger -Brussels sprouts -chicken parm eggrolls Nood Bar -Japanese fried chicken Bao (3) -Korean corn dog Kung fu bbq -3 smoked brisket birria tacos with a side of Mac and cheese If was tough to decide an absolute favorite of everything, but I thought the bao was the best, followed by the eggrolls, and the birria tacos. All of it was very tasty though and I can't say any dish was remotely disappointing. The service from each spot, including the bar, was great too. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out.

I really enjoyed the fried chicken and the cheese pull that the noodles had. The service was decent. I wouldn't say its anything to cry home about - at both the bar and the restaurant - but the staff was pleasant. I will say I was a bit concerned regarding the food safety at the Noods Bar. I noticed that none of the people preparing food were wearing gloves or a hair net. In fact, the young lady who took my order at the register was processing basil without gloves. What I found most alarming was when the time came for me to order, she simply put the basil to the side for a moment - took my order by touching the ipad and took my card for payment - and went right back to the basil without washing her hands.

Having never been we had no idea what to expect. We found out that you order food at the counter to the left as you walk in. The cider I was not a fan of so lucky I had the Diet Coke as a backup. Food showed up shortly after. The salad and curds were both delicious but mercy, they were kind of expensive... it was a chilly day but would guess this place is packed when it's super nice out.
