We took our grandkids to the Magic Castle for the first time recently. I really like this place. We couldn't go outside since it was closed during winter but our kids had a blast by exploring the indoor playground and arcade. I also really like that it is reasonably priced at $6.95 per child. read more

First time, really fun, kids loved it! A little on the younger kid side. Food/Drink: the food is traditional game room/theme park, food, pizza, chicken fingers, french fries, and the lot. Overall, it is decent looking food and that's what you expect. Mini golf: holes are relatively taken care of. Some of them have the right amount pitch for drainage, and some don't. Arcade: a bunch of games, geared toward the younger crowd. I'd say 3-12 years old. Good variety for a smaller area. Dinning Area: small just a few tables. Prices: comparable to most other fun attractions. Went there with my two kids and wife spent $30 had a Groupon clouds and ball included as always. Parking: Plenty of space, side and back private lots. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and decent in size. Small locker room attached. Atmosphere: overall a little dark, but fun atmosphere. Bar: no alcohol that I seen. Staff/Attendants: kids were running the show for the most part, not really good or bad service but definitely could tell they didn't wanna be there. Overall nice experience! 7/10 read more

Went here to play 18 rounds of putt putt golf. It was so much fun. We literally had it all to ourselves self. We went in Fourth of July and no one was there. What a fun time. I definitely recommend this place! read more

I love the nostalgic feel this place has going on. The pizza is always hot and fresh and we usually have a great time here.

A great place in the Dayton area. I don't think you can beat admission and game prices! Their arcade games range in price, with most being in the 20 - 70 cent range per play, and some of the more "techy" games being $1.20 or so. Overall, a $20 card (and they give you $25 to spend) was the perfect amount for my five year old to enjoy. The games were perfect (not too hard) for a five year old to independently play- unlike our experience at Round1 where it was a bit geared to a higher age. The soft play area is fine and entertained for a couple hours. They also had a great mini golf course with 16 holes and was only $12 for us to both play! I think it took us a little over an hour and a half to do the course! For lunch, we shared a small pizza and it was decent and exceeded my expectations. Overall, it was a great place to hang out for a spring break day that didn't break the bank! I could see how if we came here all the time it might "get old," but for a couple times a year it would sustain interest! read more

Coming here was such a treat as a kid, I have been so grateful I can bring my kids here as well. The soft play is great with lots to explore and climb. The games are well priced and it's not hard for my 3 year old to accumulate more than enough points to get candy and toys after playing games for a total of $15 or less. It's clean. There are pizza/pretzel/chips type food options with alcohol options as well. The reason I'm giving 5/5 stars is due to the staff. Each person has been friendly, professional and fun. They talk to my son and support him to grow in his social skills. They really make the environment one you feel comfortable in and want to come back to. The Magic Castle is my son's favorite place to go. read more

Every party we've had here is GREAT!!!! For my kids and grandkids they always liked this place!!!$

Needs improvement for older kids. My son wanted to check out the arcade for his birthday. I got the VIP card for the better deal and he and his siblings spent over an hour there and he hardly spent anything on the card because there was just not enough to do for that amount of money. The games are very juvenile and boring for an older kid. He's 14. This place needs to really improve their arcade if they want to sell VIP cards. Add a dance revolution or something for older kids to do. I'll be back for the miniature golf course but the arcade is severely lacking. There should be a warning on the door stating that it's for 10 and under. read more

Do the kids have a blast? Yes. Will they probably get the flu? Yes. I would assume that germs would be an issue at a place like this so I'd expect hand sanitizer dispensers to be scattered around. If there were, I didn't see any. I'm skeptical of how clean Magic Castle actually is... They have an upstairs area with arcade games on one side and an eating area on the other. The view is unacceptable. There is wide open storage in plain sight. It wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't just PILES of junk and clutter. There was a thick layer of dust coating everything with dirty napkins and other trash scattered about. How does trash even get there?? It is obvious no one is responsible for cleaning. GROSS. If basic things are neglected, such as sweeping or dusting, I can't imagine how disgusting their play areas and games are. It's absolutely lazy on their part. And it's not like they are short staffed. There were SO MANY EMPLOYEES. I noticed they mostly stayed behind the counter. That's also a red flag for me... Why are so many staff members standing around talking while the place is so filthy? Management needs a lot of work. It's frustrating because it really is fun for kids and teenagers alike! It's too expensive for it to look so run down. Maybe that's why there was a rumor of it closing. I'd recommend it, but bring hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, and an inhaler. You'll probably need all of that. read more

Pitching machines rarely work correctly. Very frustrating. No other batting cages locally available

It was a Saturday afternoon in December and less than a week until Christmas. I was spending the weekend up in Dayton with my daughter and two grandchildren. The weather was dreary and cold so we drove to the #magiccastle so my 2 and 4 year grandchildren could get in some fun playtime. This is a great place for children under 12. We came for the Soft Play area an indoor 3 level high jungle gym that has tunnels, slides and mazes and a new rock climbing wall. It was just a short walk past the arcade games to get to the snack bar & customer service counter. It was $3.50 for my granddaughter and $5.95 for my grandson to get a wristband to play on the #softplay jungle gym along the right wall of the room. Adults are free. Children 2 & under must have a parent with them at all times. The entrance is a gate with a latch to keep it closed. You must take off your shoes to play on it. Wearing a mask is required for the adults and the older children. My granddaughter had so much fun as she climbed up & down stairs and went through tunnels and mazes. There are several slides including one that curves around and starts at the top tier of the jungle gym It was also a bit of a workout for me! The rock climbing wall is kid size with a bell at the top to ring when you make it to the top. This 25 year old fun center was definitely worth the drive from Fairborn. Until next time be kind to each other. #magiccastle @yelpcincy #familyfun #weekendfun read more

This entertainment center is great for families the batting cages are my top complaint because the "slow " baseballs went 60-65 MPH.

What a great place! For only $2.50, we took our fifteen month old boy to climb around their play area. Parents are free and welcome in the play area. This was the first time our little one has ever gotten to explore a place like this and I think he had a great time. He only just started walking about two weeks ago, so he is go go go and what's to get into everything. Of course he needed our help with quite a few things, but he seemed so happy to have a huge place where nothing was a "no no". We visited on a Wednesday evening around 5:30p and mostly had the place to ourselves. No trouble finding a parking spot and our boy wasn't run over by a million other kids. While we were there we saw two of the employees climbing around the jungle gym and cleaning - both vacuuming and wiping. It felt good to know that in a place that will be fill of germs no matter what that it actually does get attention. There are also arcade games to play on both the first and second floors. And there is food available and tables to eat at. read more

I'm 26 years old and I've been visiting Magic Castle since I was 7. I grew up attending birthday parties with friends and hanging out with family here. The past three years I have now had the opportunity to bring my children to Magic Castle! We live north of Columbus but when we visit family down here, my husband and I are always happy to let our kids play here. As I was growing up, I always thought it was just our family who loved (like really really loved) their pizza but now that my husband (an extremely picky eater) has had the pizza, he loves it too. It is just SOO good! Our order never takes very long, the staff is always nice and friendly and the games are always running well! We can't wait to continue making memories here. read more

My husband and I took the kids to play goofy golf and use the batting cages. We had a great time. The staff is really nice and helpful. The food is good and reasonably priced. We ate under the covered picnic tables outside and had a beer too. We'll be back for more good times. read more

It sounds like a really fun place to be but it's almost nothing inside. The arcade games are breaking or broken down. The climbing/play area is dated and looks like it's never been cleaned. The food comes out burnt as well. The only fun part of this place is the mini golf. If that's all you're interested in then you will enjoy it. The charge too much for mediocre service. read more

I just came from a birthday party here with my disabled mother. They had the party set up upstairs with NO elevator/escalator anything! When we asked them how we were supposed to get her upstairs they just looked at us with a super goofy look on their face. When it was close to time for the party to be over instead of them coming to the adult hosting the party they just started breaking down the area. The place definitely needs updating and they need to train the staff on professionalism and customer service. They all seem to be confused on how they are to handle customers. If you're disabled don't come here! No handicapped accessible accommodations read more

The games cost more than normal it seems and a couple are not really age appropriate considering the targeted group. Overall this place is pretty gross, not very clean. My daughter went into the soft play with Snow White socks, they will be throw aways for sure. I just don't understand why businesses like this won't invest money in maintenance and upkeep. read more

This is probably my favorite castle in town. Not too much to complain about. The hand sanitizer left something to be desired as there was absolutely no alcohol whatsoever within the foam. Additionally, the big dragon on the course had the hands of a chicken. Not a big deal, but definitely something they could improve. read more

Honestly this business is not being run very well and it is apparent. The batting cages could use some WD-40 and the arcade could probably be a little cleaner. Im generally not very picky but with a place i am taking my kids I would hope for more. read more

Cute little golf course and batting cages. Will definitely come again when I'm in town. Great prices as well

The games are always broken. The atmosphere is very dated. Spoke with a "manager " he was rude and said I have a customer on the phone. I know where I won't be choosing my daughters birthday party read more

This place is sure in need of some updates. Counter tops are well worn with broken molding . Some broken and well used games on second floor. Paint could use a freshen up. Very dirty AC/heater intakes with lots of dust bunnies. Neon not on or broken on inside signage. Don't know if they clean anything in the soft play area. With the money that shoots thru this place it should be modern and well kept. read more

The venue is a bit dated and could use some freshening up. Several machines are usually broken - mostly different ones each visit. The food is usually good but expensive. I take my grandkids (6 and 8) here several times a year and they love it. read more

This was nice to have an indoor place for the kids to play. However I just felt it was extremely busy. The staff wasn't super helpful. We went there for a party and we were told where the party was. I had never been there before so had no idea what to expect or where to go. It would have been nice for the staff to show us to our room. The kids were given bracelets of which there was no explanation to what they do or what they are for? I did end up asking another staff member later as so what they do. To find out they can go in the climbing structure then the last part they can play. It didn't make sense that they could t okay the games before the party. In my opinion they should get the play card to do anytime and leave it up to the parents. Overall unless we had to attend a party will not return. Just overcrowded and no super clean. Not impressed. If you don't have to go here I recommend choosing another option. read more

I highly recommend a Magic Castle birthday party to anyone with kids. The staff was so organized and made things so easy. Our party host, was fantastic to work with. She made sure that all of the kids had fun and knew what to do. She also went above and beyond to make sure everyone had everything that needed. She was so efficient and polite. Our son had a fantastic time with his friends and we didn't have to lift a finger! read more
