What a fun giant chair!

Great place to mini-golf or practice batting. We came on a day that was just a bit too cool for the pool, and we had a nice time. It was our four-year-old's first time to mini golf! We all loved the plethora of beautiful flowers all over the course. My daughter's favorite holes were the ones with tubes to carry the ball from one place to another!

The course is absolutely lovely and it isn't too difficult. We had a great time! The Olentangy Caverns are nearby so it was a fun and educational afternoon!

Despite the number of times we've driven by, I somehow missed that there were mini golf courses here until I was searching for mini golf places specifically... I think the height of the batting cages caught my attention instead. There are, however, two 18-hole mini golf courses, one on either side of the little building where you can pay and get the equipment for your activity. There are also restrooms available on the side of this building. You can opt to do both courses for just a little more, which is what we did. There is a nice variety of challenges and obstacles and fun touches like a fountain and a stream, really cute birdhouses in the trees around the courses (really loved the donut one!), little gnomes and houses and the like were also sprinkled throughout. The greens and holes were well maintained, and the facility was clean. The staff member who assisted us was very friendly, and there was plentiful parking in the lot. There was clear signage as to where to put used clubs as they are cleaning and disinfecting the balls, pencils, clubs, etc after use. This is a great mini golf option!

On a sunny Saturday afternoon during the Great Coronavirus Scare of 2020, my wife and I sat in our gloomy home pondering the afternoon, meditating on ways of escaping the stillness of the couch. As if spoken by an angel from on high, the two words "mini golf" came into my mind. Visions of wielding a club and launching a brightly colored spherical object through the air put a smile on my face. Off we went... The gods of adventure guided us to Olentangy Mini Golf, where we would be tasked with 18 challenges of varying difficulty. The heat of the burning sun made the challenges all the more difficult, though trees interspersed throughout the battlefield provided moments of cooling comfort. In the passage of just over an hour, our adventure had come to an end. We had traversed hills of 2 and, in some cases, 3 inches in height; we had been forced to hurl our balls toward triangular stone ricochet devices, only to have them bounce back to their starting places; we had made savagely brutal 80 and 90-degree turns at velocities far surpassing any intended for human survival, only to find our balls lying in an abyss; we had slammed our toes against truly monstrous boulders left lying in the middle of our path; we had been threatened by the presence of sparkling fountains that likely concealed bloodthirsty monsters ready to crush our balls, our clubs, and our bones between its teeth; and we had been asked to perform advanced mathematical challenges at the end in order to determine the identity of the true, most valiant, honorable winner. Despite my greatest efforts, I was bested by my own wife. Want to play mini golf? Check out Olentangy Mini Golf -- they're awesome! There were several other families there on the day that we went, but everyone spaced themselves well enough that we didn't feel rushed or overwhelmed by their presence. There are 2 courses to choose from, though you have to pay extra and get a new ball to play the second after you've played the first. We chose not to that day because it was blazing hot outside, but will definitely be back to play the second course on a cooler day.

Several friends and I had the opportunity to come check out this place and hands down one of the cutest, coolest places to get your mini golfin on! We had an absolute blast and the place is hands down so clean and you can tell the owners take pride in their up keep! Highly recommend if you want a date night, night out from the kids or even with the kids you should come here! We even got to meet the owners and Dave is so funny and down to earth and definitely takes pride in his business and it shows! You can get ice cream and there's even batting cages!

We were there for the playground, of course. Driving by one day, Baby K said "there's a playground!" I didn't see it from Greenlawn, and even driving through the park I couldn't find it, but she spotted it, and we spent an hour there. Actually, there are two, but the other one was overrun with crazed kids. The eastern one was only moderately busy, and everyone was well-behaved, so we stayed there. There's a big "umbrella" sunshade over it, and though there weren't any benches nearby for tired parents there were a few spots on the playset for me to sit. She loved it- slides, climbing areas, etc. Nearby is a building with concessions and bathrooms.

For in its 209 acres also exist another troupe of the movie--Berliner is also known for its ghosts. ( It is also known for something else--something that buzzed the newswires nationwide in 1997. That year the Columbus Police in a sting arrested 200 people including some well known men for indecent exposure in a sex ring. True story. But don't fear, today Berliner is a clean, streamline family park. ) Named after Lou Berliner, a prominent sportswriter who wrote for the Dispatch from 1931 to 1975, this is the largest ball diamond complex in the nation. The diamonds are fantastic for both baseball and softball ( must have a field permit to use.) They are permanently fenced and have turfed infields. Thousands of athletes use the park every year when local, state, and national soft and fast pitch events and games happen here. There are benches, restroom facility and concessions stands to serve the baseball crowds--build it and they will come. And so will ghosts. The long span of Berliner, of diamond upon diamonds, from Greenlawn to Frank is flanked on the west by the Scioto Greenway Trail on the levee over the river. This is where the reports of spirits from the dark beyond originate for here spooky anomalies are seen, sensed, or felt. The souls of poor people caught in the rivers damns and eddies who perished in the waters right there; the poltergeists of the murdered and dumped in the waters; dark secrets of 200-years and mysteries never solved and forgotten as mysteries and became a misty angst and despair; the voices of children laughing are heard, or two men whispering conspiracies down the river's bank but when you look there's no one to be found; a shadow following you its breath right on your neck but when you turn around there is a void of presence in the dark trail of the night. These are the stories they tell of the haunted trail here. One can easily see where they come from just by walking the trail. Secluded, wild but urban, unkept by tree and dark-green canopies, this section of the Greenway is creepy. You can tangibly feel the thick of evil, of fear, of pain, foreboding. It's the eeriest places in Columbus, even more than Walhalla Ravine.

While your down there your using a provided map to guide yourself around and match the corresponding areas ( Ex; A to A or 1-1 ) We went after it had just rained the night before, so everything was VERY wet. Wear waterproof/walking shoes if you plan on exploring. Be prepared to get dripped on by very cold water coming off nearby rocks, and the "ceiling". Coming down the initial very steep stairs is a beautiful view of different levels of rocks decending into a tunnel/cave where the rest of the cavers are. Tons of puddles all over the ground from collected rain water and the "droplets". Most the areas are about big enough for one person to walk through the tunnel areas at one time, and if your a larger person i DO NOT recommend going down there. Some areas are extremely tight and really only accessible to someone under 4'5 and around 100 pounds or less. (Im 5'4, 140 and some areas i almost got stuck cause it was too tight going through the rocks. It is neat to see though, i dont think id want to do it again as it is just wet rocks and the furthest tunnel was closed from the previous year that occurred from some heavy rain water. (The water collected, over time causing a collapse). So that was kind of a bummer but i get it for safety reasons. The gem mining was fun, definitely loaded with a lot of "gravel" type rocks so that was new for me, Ive only ever had ones with dirt/sand that yield rocks/gems/shark teeth. We found some really interesting gemstones in each tray. The petting zoo was great. I thought it wad Going to be boring and smelly, and i was happily wrong. The goats were adorable, when we came in a baby jumped through the fence and was following our group. And when we came inside the "pen" to pet them he ran back in it was very cute! The deer were a little skittish but very sweet and gentle. The treasure hunt/maze was VERY fun we enjoyed getting different prizes snd trading them within the group.
