We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the campground is and well maintained. There is a pool, a lake in the back for fishing, 2 kids parks, a mini putting area, and lots of open field. No noise from traffic, you are close to Hartford city if you need anything (just don't go to the McDonald's). Lots of other campers here that seem to have annual stays. We choose spot 108 because it was in the back and pretty secluded, no one else ended up staying at the closer sites and we had the area to ourselves. Picnic tables and firepits at the sites. They also have buddy campsites. We didn't use the wifi but it was accessible. They also have a rec area and have campsite chat nights, games, and all the fun stuff. Great place and would stay again!

Do NOT recommend this place at all especially this no privacy site. Oh and the uneducated owner lady has my boyfriend's name spelled as Otteringer on the paperwork. Such a hillbilly! First off, pricing: $8 for 9 holes (takes around 45-60 minutes) $13 for 18 holes (takes around 60-90 minutes) $18 for 27 holes (takes about 120 minutes) Kids under the age of 3 are free. Club rental and ball included. Rustic Gardens offers private party space at their 9-hole and 18-hole course and access to the course comes with event rental. Reservations are recommended, though they can occasionally respond to short-term requests. Rates are from $150 for 2 hours (9-hole course) to $300 for 2 hours (18-hole course) with additional hours available. Check their website for the full details (I'm adding the website to the listing). Rustic Gardens also has a men's league and a women's league along with a Fall tournament. Rustic Gardens is a mini vision of a 27-hole golf course. It has natural grass, obstacles, and trees. Nearly every other mini-golf place in Indiana is a Putt-Putt type place with turf (generally easier). This course has some holes well over 75 feet - most holes are par 4 with some par 5 (with Putt-Putt, par 2 or 3 is a standard). Rustic Gardens indicates the course is disability friendly, though I'd likely disagree with them. Some holes are definitely not. I would agree that an effort has been made to improve access and I think those who are generally mobile (even those who are simply very good in wheelchairs) will find enough to have a good time here. Overall, this is a really cool and under-appreciated place in Indy and it's truly family friendly. Employees are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is quite pleasing. I have a couple friends who really love it here - so, there's no doubt I'll be back.

I took my young kids and they had a blast. The holes aren't very difficult so we got through all 18 in about 15-20 minutes. There was a lot of room between us and the people in front of and behind. Everyone patiently waited their turn for the next hole and we flowed nicely. It looked like there were 2 sides where you could go on, so there were 2 18-hole courses so there would be space for a lot of people. The arcade is like a lower budget Chuck-E-Cheese. Small but seemed like the kids playing the games were having fun. Overall good experience. I took off 1 star because they only served hot dogs with chips and the hot dogs take 15 minutes to cook. Never heard of that! Other than that, it's a cute place for a date or if you want an inexpensive place to take your kids. Kids under 3 are FREE and kids 4-7 are $3, which is excellent. I don't think the go-kart area was open, as there was no one over in that area.

My two young children had a blast. We probably could have stayed here for hours, but we only dropped by for an hour and a half. But we packed a lot in during that time. Combat Ops has a huge laser tag arena, an area to have Nerf battles, a laser maze, miniature golf, miniature bowling, outdoor axe throwing, an arcade, and an eatery area with local beer. It's basically the perfect place to bring your kids and relax while they play (or join in the fun -- whatever you want to do). I would say that most of the games and entertainment is geared toward older kids and teens (and adults). For instance, my younger child wasn't able to do the laser tag because the guns were a bit heavy for his little arms. But that was pretty much the only thing, other than axe throwing, that he couldn't do. Younger kids would love the miniature bowling, because the balls are small and can fit in a little hand. The miniature golf was also a favorite because what little kid doesn't like putt-putt golf?! My personal favorite was the Nerf arena. We booked a half hour, and they make you watch a safety video, then tell you the rules, and then have you put on safety glasses and let you pick out a Nerf weapon. There is always someone walking around to make sure everyone is playing safely. As a mom who worries about everything, I appreciated all of the extra steps Combat Ops takes to make sure everyone is safe! They aren't obtrusive about it -- just insistent, which I like. The person monitoring our session suggested some games that we could play, which made the experience even more fun. We had a great time playing capture the flag and freeze tag with our Nerf guns. Another favorite of ours was the laser maze. You step into a foggy room, and try to get from one side to the other without tripping the lasers. I think we did the laser maze at least six times! It was a lot of fun. My kids didn't want to leave this place when it was time to go, and they're already talking about how they want to come back for their birthday. Combat Ops really is a super fun place for families, and my family can't wait to go back.
