Total failure of management. We prepaid and reserved multiple activities, and Main Event could not deliver on what it sold. The facility was chaotic, unorganized, and clearly understaffed or poorly run. No one appeared to be in charge. Despite having a scheduled, prepaid reservation, our pool tables were not available because none were set aside. The manager's response was to "email and hope" for a refund. That is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of accountability. Main Event took our money knowing they could not honor reservations. Was visiting the area and looking for something fun to do. Sooo glad I came across this spot! First we sat down and ate a late lunch. I had the chicken Caesar salad & my fiance had the burger. We both really enjoyed our meal. We got the play pass next where we played a few games of pool. It was a week day so it wasn't crowded which was great! It is very loud but oddly enough not in a bad way. We then did the laser tag. We had sooooo much fun playing that! After that we bowled a few games. We got more drinks while bowling. My uncharacteristic negative review is based on my experience with food. After playing games, my friend and I decided we would just eat at the Main Event before we headed to our hotel. We ordered boneless wings, a Caesar Salad with chicken, and a double poor of Absolute Citron Vodka. We did the play and eat, so we got a $50 game card for the meal. The total was pennies shy of 90.00 and then I have a 20 cash tip to the bar tender at 7:19pm. We ordered about 10-15 minutes before that time. We noticed other people's orders were taking some time and there was one person who was complaining about not tomatoes on the burger which at the time seemed trivial, but I think she eventually was comped the meal and ate a very cold burger (her companion didn't eat any of her boneless wings and fries. By 7:58, I had was done waiting and went to find the manager. I told her that I don't like to complain, but I've been waiting 40 minutes for my meal and I wanted to find my hotel before it was completely dark. She went to the back to try and figure out what was wrong. It was at the time the bartender informed me that they were having problems because they couldn't locate any chicken for the salad (she could have told me this and we would have ordered something else). By the time we finally got the order a 8:10 or 8:15, I had told them to just package it to go. When we got the the car, the wings were luke warm and the fries were a little warmer. The salad was a disaster! My friend didn't want to eat the chicken and I have to admit the texture of the chicken was off. There were also 2 hard boiled eggs on it! Caesar salad doesn't come with eggs! Over all, the kitchen needs some direction in the back. A server came to us twice to ask if an order wings with Parmesan cheese and one with bbq sauce were ours. I feel sorry for whoever got them, because we turned them away twice, so they had to be stone cold by the time they found their rightful owner. Now to the reason I didn't mind that I had to leave 1 star. The games and prizes were good and the staff were very helpful. I will have to go back there to redeem for prizes because I wanted to leave, but the prize area had decent prices and prices for their goods! We got in before 11:00am so paid $14 per person, we got unlimited bowling we all sucked but it was fun. We only had one issue with one game and everything didn't feel gross like most other places. This place does gets really loud so don't bring a newborn baby! Someone did and that baby looked scared to death! Service kind of sucked there were 2 guys alternating at the front desk one acted like we were an inconvenience being there and the other was annoyed when anyone asked a question. The lady at the bar was incredibly rude to my daughter and her boyfriend when they were trying to order ice cream. She kept ignoring them while she was chatting with a visibly drunk customer and still serving her when she should have stopped this was before noon. It got to the point where we tried to avoid having to talk to anyone not like we really had to try cause it seemed like they were actively trying to avoid people. The food was ok. I got the sliders they were a bit bland, the mozzarella sticks were very good,my husband had the tacos but I don't know what he thought at the moment I think he really liked them. Update on my previous review! Like I said, an employee was caught eating food and placing it next to customer food like nothing happened. When confronting management, they told us they would handle it. They proceeded to not do anything and we saw the employee still working despite the food safety issue. After writing my review of this experience, Main Event responded asking for feedback on this encounter. I then filled out their form and no one ever notified me of a resolution. Due to that fact, I cannot say that Main Event took the issue seriously and may not have corrected the issue. If Main Event responds back about the issue, I can add a new review to let people know! Monday 01/05/2026: The bartender here was extremely inappropriate. She was a heavy set lady with red hair, Her name is Tanya. She was very rude! Gave terrible service to a lot of people just trying to order their drinks and food. Ignored us for about 15 minutes of us sitting there, and finally I asked to see a drink menu and she yelled and put her finger up and said "you need to wait a minute" With a bad attitude. TERRIBLE!!! I was here twice in one day. The first time I was here for my son to bowl for his birthday. I made the reservation online. i stood at the counter for 10 minutes, not realizing a worker was standing in front of me talking to another worker, who should've looked up to greet me and ask what I needed. instead, it took my husband saying something when he came in for the worker to address me. We came back that night to do dinner and play games. We sat down to eat, there were soooo many dirty tables. We were never greeted In the 15 minutes we sat there. The family next to us was told that their meal was free for their wait and the man stated, "what meal, we never even got any food". The "kids" delivering food were extremely rude and had attitudes as they tried to bring us someone else's food. 5 minutes later we see them walking around with drinks, while I'm pretty sure the manager was looking for them. Went here for my dad's special day out for his birthday. We bought three of the all activies thing for $22.99 because we were going to do laser tag, gravity, and maybe bowling. We were told 2:30pm for the gravity. We did our games in the arcade, and once we finished, we went to sign up. We asked for gravity and laser tag, and the woman there said it opens to the public at 5pm. We explained to her that we were told 2:30pm. We went back to the main place where you purchase things and we waited 10 minutes just for someone to talk to us. The woman behind us had the same issue, but she bought it for six kids. The man working up front said there was nothing he could do. My dad told him we won't be returning. Not to mention atleast 2/4 of the game were broken. The customer service was HORRIBLE. read more

I arrived 11/11/23 in tow with my son and his brother to enjoy his birthday. Except we got the furthest thing from enjoyment!! The entire place is crowded with folks with bad attitudes, too-loud music, and very uninhibited. Bathrooms were very dirty with TP everywhere and smelling strongly of body odor and marijuana. Furthermore, my partner and I stood for 10 minutes to wait to get seated and almost an hour more to get our food. We call the manager. Of course, my hungry children's wings and burgers got sent to the wrong table. 5 minutes later. No, actually, the table was never in the kitchens system. Was given another complimentary plate of wings, and then a game card with an extra 75 points. Thanks very much! 30 minutes later, close to two hours after we sat down to eat-still haven't played a single game, our fussy two year old and our pissed 12 year old finally get their food. It was hard to find our server to get to-go boxes. The games were pretty mediocre and clogged with a broken VR set and several out of order games. All in all, if you're not coming for a birthday party and plan on leaving your kids with Dad while you have a few drinks with the other moms, I'd avoid this place like the plague. Food was OK according to the kiddos. The only thing that made it even slightly bearable was the free appetizers and comped meal. I'm sure any mother can agree with me that when you bring the kids out somewhere fun like this establishment that you're looking to have peace while the kids tire themselves out before bathtime. We opted for bowling which was $4/person shoes + $8/person for 1 hour of bowling for Sunday evening (prices differ based on time of day). Not too bad pricing wise and bowling alley was really colorful for late night bowling. You are limited 5 people per lane. So disappointed!, half the ball games didn't work, 4 hour wait for bowling, over an hour wait for one pizza (still waiting actually...), the place is disgustingly dirty. I came here with my wife for her company's Christmas party. It was a large fancy event with 180 people. There was decent space in the room rented out for the party for everyone to sit, but there was basically no way to walk between tables when people were seated, which made getting a drink or even going to the bathroom nearly impossible. When the food was ready, there was a beautiful spread of dishes in a buffet style. salad, veggies, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, pork, beef, gravy, and rolls, not to mention dessert that was at another table. I picked up some of everything, sans salad and veggies because ew. I took a bite of the pork with the gravy, and it was very good. I was impressed, because my wife and I had checked Main Event's Yelp rating before the party. Took a bite of the mashed potatoes, and they were equally delicious. As was the beef. At this point, I got a little confused by so many poor reviews, but obviously a private party is a much different experience than just a date or group of friends going out. Either way, I was having a good time. I dove into the macaroni and cheese, which is one of my favorite dishes. And it even had the bread-like crumblies on it, so you know I was excited. I never saw it coming, but I was deeply betrayed. The mac and cheese was not only cold, but practically flavorless. I understand keeping everything warm can be difficult with so many people, but I was probably in the front third of the line, and started eating as soon as I sat down. It seemed like it had been sitting there for an hour. Even if it weren't cold, it was so bland. I was actually baffled that the mac and cheese abomination came out of the same kitchen as the meat and potatoes. The last food on my plate I hadn't tried was the roll. I picked it up, and it was cold. Not necessarily a strike against it, but it's hard to beat a fresh, warm roll. Upon taking a bite, I concluded it had to be store-bought. Dessert was good. They had little pudding/cookie/tiramisu cups that were very rich. Tasty. After dinner, we got drinks at the bar two different times. First was uneventful. Bad experience the second time. When the bartender asked what my wife and I wanted, I said a whiskey sour, and my wife didn't know yet, so she said she was still deciding. I got my drink a moment later, but then the bartender proceeded to ignore my wife for fifteen minutes, even though it only took her a minute to decide, she was sitting right at the bar, and had money in hand, looking expectantly. It couldn't be clearer that she was ready to order. The bartender literally asked the people on either side of us what they wanted, skipping right over my wife. I was just about to grab her attention to say that we were ready when she asked "who's next?" I pointed at my wife and said that she was. It was unpleasant, and I'm just not sure why she was avoiding her for so long. We were given some game tickets and passes, but because the party was held so late (it was 9:30 on a Thursday before they stopped talking and released people to use the tickets), we didn't end up playing anything. We were told the gift cards would be good if we came back another day, but upon returning a few days later, we discovered that was not the case, and they were both empty. Not Main Event's fault (we were told by someone in our party), but frustrating. Overall, I understand the poor reviews now, but I am still surprised that we had some very good food served along mac and cheese that was worse than Aldi boxed macaroni and cheese. We frequent main event and it gets pretty busy on the weekends. Pro tip: make a reservation online (it requires you to pay) in the morning for evening bowling to avoid being waitlisted. They will also let you cancel the reservation and get a refund prior to your reservation time if something urgent comes up. Line to check in for bowling is long but it is what it is. I recommend going around 4ish on Fridays or on Sundays to avoid the long line to check in for bowling or laser tag etc. Food takes a bit to come out so I would definitely order right away. They have servers that will come right to your lane which is a nice perk. It's typical bar food and I was satisfied with our wings, chicken fingers and sliders. The pizza was off to me, I would say the pizza is a HARD pass next time. Games can get a bit expensive but it's not going to break the bank for an occasional outing. I love that they have pool tables and shuffle board as well. There are lots of kids obviously so I wonder if it's better around 11 or 12am to shoot pool with my husband. I would be open to returning for a late night date night to play pool without our kids. But then again, maybe it turns into teenager central? Anyway, I'm not sure why M.E. has such bad reviews , it's honestly a very nice outing. I've taken out of town guest and they enjoyed it. Check it out for sure. read more

Decided to start off bowling. As noted in another review, you have to pay over $4 per person more to rent shoes, which I think is a bit high (feel like comparable places are $2-3 or would be free if running the $10.95 promotion). First, they placed us right next to a giant children's birthday party, in the same corral as some of them, despite their being multiple other lanes available. When we requested to move after a few frames, they had to close our tab (which makes sense) and an inappropriate charge was on there (one of the children must have charged something to our account). It was only $1.95 but it took forever to resolve. Additionally, our food order took about 30 minutes to arrive and it was simply a hummus appetizer and buffalo wings. Both of which were meh especially for the price. Waitress seemed very disinterested. After an hour of bowling the lane automatically shut off even though we had unlimited activities so we had to stand in line again to reactivate. Then we looked to enjoy some other activities. We were psyched for laser tag but there were no other players (no fault of the Main Event) and the ropes course was crowded and not particularly exciting to us as adults who had done "real" ropes courses before. So we just left as we weren't in the mood for pool or shuffleboard. We agreed maybe we would come back again and do video games but I can't see it being soon.
