Karina was hostess this morning and I just loved her energy. She should get a raise. She was pure sunshine, organized and so fast.

We were greeted quickly upon arriving into Liliana's Colombian Restaurant and Bakery by an older gentleman, you could tell he has pride in this restaurant the way he spoke and helped with everything. The food, we order tostones for an appetizer. They were crispy, light, and simple. Could've used a bit of salt personally but the garlic sauce they came with really made up for it. So good! The steak had a ton of flavor, and the yellow rice was solid, though my family actually liked the white rice better overall. We ordered a mix of plates with yellow rice and fries, others with white rice and tostones. I went with the arroz con pollo (classic choice), and my youngest had the chicken nuggets and fries. Only downside: my meal came out about 10 minutes after everyone else's, which was a little frustrating but not warrant for complaints. Our waiter was really sweet, a tad slow checking in sometimes, but he was super accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. He even got honey on the side for my kiddos nuggets. Odd request but it's a thing. A big surprise but we got a free choice of a pastry at the end, which was really nice. My kids picked flan and said it was light, firm, but still creamy. Not too mushy. In the end the vibe is very family friendly. They play Latin music in the background, but it's quiet and chill, easy to drown out and still enjoy. I would love to see this place flourish, I know they deserve it, there's a lot of love put into this place. If we're ever in town again, we'll be back.

This review is long overdue…read more Can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant yet. My experience with Thig's BBQ goes back to around 1999. I was stationed at Courthouse Bay and it was the first time I experienced Carolina whole hog bbq. Dan worked on base, but also provided the instructor staff with Carolina bbq and all the fixins'. I was hooked! After years of serving all over the place, I was happy to find out he opened his own place, Thig's BBQ House & catering. The family and I ate here a few times trying everything they had. Every time we come here, we know the food, service, and atmosphere is great. We enjoyed it so much, Thig's catered my retirement. All communication was through the daughter, who I believe handles the catering. I gave her the back story which she appreciated. She delivered the catering on time and set it all up. There was so much food! Brisket, pork, fried chicken, vegetables, and tea. Everyone raved about the food! I think we ordered too much, but it was worth it. We ate leftovers for as long as we could. I'm definitely impartial to Thig's for Carolina BBQ. I'll continue to enjoy this place as long as I can. Highly recommend giving Thig's a try!

I hope they spruce the place up over time. Like many places post-COVID they have things on their website menu they no longer sell. My wife made a point of praising the hushpuppies, some BBQ joints are not worth eating but these were good. I was hoping for spare ribs, Kansa City style ribs or beef ribs but they don't do those anymore. The beans were good and worth eating, the brisket was moist and not too smoky. We generally liked everything. One thing for oaths with sensitive hearing, because there are few decorations and hard walls and floors the room is kind of loud and echoey. I hope they make some effort to soften the sound, hang some soft decorations or do something to make the sound more appealing instead of the sound of an empty warehouse.

Checked Yelp and one of the suggested restaurants was Habaneros Mexican Restaurant Grill in Richland. We were greeted and shown to our table by a pleasant gentleman who then brought us chips and dip. My wife asked for some Queso dip, which he quickly brought her. The salsa dip was not as hot as I like it, but it was very flavorful. My wife enjoyed her Queso dip. I order their Cocktel Vallarta (Camaron Y Pulpo) which consisted of shrimp and octopus in a special tomato sauce seasoned with onions, tomatoes, cilantro, avocado, and lime. It is served in a large Margareta glass surrounded by saltine crackers. You break the crackers up to absorb the delicious "special tomato sauce". This is a unique and delicious meal that I have never seen in any other Mexican restaurant. My wife ordered two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. She said they were just average. The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent. If I were in this area, I would definitely use this restaurant again.

They were out of them but it was 1:30 in the afternoon but I learned how to use the app to order ahead of time. He also helped me with the app. I got a two for one. I ordered the egg and sausage biscuit. It was good but nothing special. I do not like the frozen hash browns they serve like McDonalds. Coffee was great. The next sandwich was a spicy chicken biscuit. I had to add hot sauce to get it spicy and I tried the French-fries which were again, just okay. I also picked up a raspberry swirl. Now that was Yummy. Staff was very nice and friendly. Not sure how long the inside tables had not been wiped down but they must have had a rush before I got there. All the tables needed wiping. Parking area was clean. Sad that it is only open from 5am to 2pm. It is a bit of a drive for me but the next time I am in the area I will go back since they are still new and try the biscuits and gravy. July 2025
