We've been here many times and haven't had a bad experience yet. The employees are typically always nice. Our service has been fairly prompt and our orders are always exactly as requested. The old location was fine, but the new location definitely gives a more modern vibe to Hwy 55. Same old burgers and tots that we enjoy. We recently returned from a road trip and were hungry for burgers. Ordered online and picked up our order 15 minutes later. Three burgers, two fries, and tots all hit the spot. We'll continue to dine here. Much better option locally.

Server was friendly and fast however the drinks we got tasted like nothing but sugar water. Now I understand that the oranges can be not as strong tasting I get that. Not the first time it has happened at a J55. It's a simple fix just add some more oranges to it. Apparently the manager (goes by Andy) thought that was not acceptable and refused to simply add more juice. Instead we were told to order something different which we did which was sodas which are unlimited refills. How that makes sense over just adding some juice is beyond me. On top of that the drinks were left on the ticket as Orangades instead of sodas. The Orangeades are 5 bucks a piece. That's unacceptable. We didn't make a scene but that's what reviews are for. Not calling for someone to be fired but comping the drinks or simply adding more juice is the bare minimum of customer service.

The clerk whispered that they had chicken, but they just failed to cook enough for the night and would likely have more in an hour. Something this manager could have said. The fact that they leaned over the counter and whispered and how they said it made clear they were in a hostile work environment with a poor manager. That information should have been told to the staff, not yelled to the whole restaurant without completing the information with "Hey, we're sorry, but we are running low and won't have more chicken ready for an hour," Or "Sorry, we screwed up and did not make enough chicken, but here's a coupon for making you wait in line instead of closing" Or close the store if you're out of food and not waste the customer's time. How you deliver bad news and how it's received is a matter of how you state things. A little humility, looking us in the eyes, waiting for a second to again show some empathy, or communicating with the customer-facing staff first isn't all that hard. There was no effort made to steer us to the chicken in the bins, which apparently was being held back for the drive-thru despite displaying it out front. What kind of Chicken joint runs out of chicken at the dinner hour? If this was the first week of operations, I could understand, but it's not. We don't even know if we would like Bojangles, as this was our first and probably only experience with this chain. Terrible customer service, terrible planning, terrible management. The customer service that I experienced was friendly and courteous. Upon trying my food, I found that it was tasty and freshly prepared for the most part. It was also warm. 2 out of 3 of my chicken pieces came out this way but I did have 1 piece that was dry and not fresh. My dirty rice was yummy and flavorful and so were my green beans! My sweet tea was also good and had light ice in as instructed. Overall, I had a good impression of this location.

You find the corresponding brown bag for the sandwich you want. Mark what you want on your sandwich with a marker that's provided. Include your name at the bottom. You hand it off to the person behind the register and answer a couple of questions. Do you want fries or chips, a drink, or a milkshake. My first visit I tried the Italian Beef, fries, and a vanilla milkshake. It didn't take long for everything to be made and hear my name called. The Italian Beef was pretty good. The fries were ok. The milkshake was too thick to use a straw, so I took it home and ate it with a spoon. This visit, I had the large Wicked sandwich. The wife had a regular Italian. After a few minutes, our names were called. A large is a little much for me. Both sandwiches were good. We will dine here again. Recommend giving this a try if you're passing through or want something quick. Bonus: the gas station is connected with a small hallway where the restrooms are. And I'm disappointed for it each time I let myself eat at a Taco Bell and remember I'm going to be over charged for bad food, they will almost assuredly get my order wrong (and they did this time too) and I'll over pay for it too. I honestly wish we had Baja Fresh, Del Taco, Taco John's or a Jack in the Box all of whom have better food and still generally at a better price too. You would order and hand them the coupon and they will still mess up the order or ask you a thousand questions or give you the wrong change. The drive through people are not so bad but, you have to keep repeating the same order only to be told "just drive to the window". We usually like getting the tenders, sweet tea, chicken sandwiches/biscuits, and the cheese fries. I like that they make the food fresh so, there is almost always a wait. These two gentlemen exhibited excellent customer service skills, they were personable and respectful to a tired almost-senior citizen and her dog. W hen I asked for a side of grilled chicken and was trying to explain that it was for Tucker, one spoke up and completed my sentence by saying "you're getting this for your little dog". It's refreshing to be treated so well and not hurried along. I had a backed potato, regular chili with cheese and onions and a small burger. I poured my chili on the potato and it was great that way. The burger was dry and bland but better with some ketchup. No better than a burger from Sonic or Dairy Queen only it would be cheaper from those businesses. My wife had chili, fries and a chicken sandwich. She thought the sandwich was just ok but liked the chili and fries. One plus here is they have a really nice patio area to eat outside. I'd say far nicer than you'd expect to find at a fast food chain.
