Plenty of table seating. Customer traffic was fairly consistent with orders at the counter and online orders for pickup. They have outside and inside seating. It's a fairly simple process. You find the corresponding brown bag for the sandwich you want. Mark what you want on your sandwich with a marker that's provided. Include your name at the bottom. You hand it off to the person behind the register and answer a couple of questions. Do you want fries or chips, a drink, or a milkshake. My first visit I tried the Italian Beef, fries, and a vanilla milkshake. It didn't take long for everything to be made and hear my name called. The Italian Beef was pretty good. The fries were ok. The milkshake was too thick to use a straw, so I took it home and ate it with a spoon. This visit, I had the large Wicked sandwich. The wife had a regular Italian. After a few minutes, our names were called. A large is a little much for me. Both sandwiches were good. We will dine here again. Recommend giving this a try if you're passing through or want something quick. Bonus: the gas station is connected with a small hallway where the restrooms are. Someone came from the back to take the order. She wasn't nice or mean but didn't really engage with me. The sandwich tastes fresh and they decent serving of meat. The old location was fine, but the new location definitely gives a more modern vibe to Hwy 55. Same old burgers and tots that we enjoy. We recently returned from a road trip and were hungry for burgers. Ordered online and picked up our order 15 minutes later. Three burgers, two fries, and tots all hit the spot. Server was friendly and fast however the drinks we got tasted like nothing but sugar water. Now I understand that the oranges can be not as strong tasting I get that. Not the first time it has happened at a J55. It's a simple fix just add some more oranges to it. Apparently the manager (goes by Andy) thought that was not acceptable and refused to simply add more juice. Instead we were told to order something different which we did which was sodas which are unlimited refills. How that makes sense over just adding some juice is beyond me. On top of that the drinks were left on the ticket as Orangades instead of sodas. The Orangeades are 5 bucks a piece. That's unacceptable. We didn't make a scene but that's what reviews are for. Not calling for someone to be fired but comping the drinks or simply adding more juice is the bare minimum of customer service.

All in this was a far super pizza to Dominos or Pizza Hut and prices along the lines of a Godfathers or Mellow Mushroom.

I was stationed at Courthouse Bay and it was the first time I experienced Carolina whole hog bbq. Dan worked on base, but also provided the instructor staff with Carolina bbq and all the fixins'. I was hooked! After years of serving all over the place, I was happy to find out he opened his own place, Thig's BBQ House & catering. The family and I ate here a few times trying everything they had. Every time we come here, we know the food, service, and atmosphere is great. We enjoyed it so much, Thig's catered my retirement. All communication was through the daughter, who I believe handles the catering. I gave her the back story which she appreciated. She delivered the catering on time and set it all up. There was so much food! Brisket, pork, fried chicken, vegetables, and tea. Everyone raved about the food! I think we ordered too much, but it was worth it. We ate leftovers for as long as we could. I'm definitely impartial to Thig's for Carolina BBQ. I'll continue to enjoy this place as long as I can. Highly recommend giving Thig's a try!

I was hoping for spare ribs, Kansa City style ribs or beef ribs but they don't do those anymore. The beans were good and worth eating, the brisket was moist and not too smoky. We generally liked everything. One thing for oaths with sensitive hearing, because there are few decorations and hard walls and floors the room is kind of loud and echoey. I hope they make some effort to soften the sound, hang some soft decorations or do something to make the sound more appealing instead of the sound of an empty warehouse.

That information should have been told to the staff, not yelled to the whole restaurant without completing the information with "Hey, we're sorry, but we are running low and won't have more chicken ready for an hour," Or "Sorry, we screwed up and did not make enough chicken, but here's a coupon for making you wait in line instead of closing" Or close the store if you're out of food and not waste the customer's time. How you deliver bad news and how it's received is a matter of how you state things. A little humility, looking us in the eyes, waiting for a second to again show some empathy, or communicating with the customer-facing staff first isn't all that hard. There was no effort made to steer us to the chicken in the bins, which apparently was being held back for the drive-thru despite displaying it out front.
