My breakfast was terrible, the daycare in the dining room was terrible. You would not believe what I witnessed and for the sake of the children I don't want to list it. Just know this place is a great example of what not to do. I am in total complete shock at how they are running this business into the ground. And lastly, I am embarrassed that I recommended this restaurant for breakfast in my previous review. Ambiance- negative 10 Food- 1 Service - didn't blame the waitress at all, this catastrophe is completely the owners fault.

Let it be known this is the place to go to get the best fried chicken in Asheboro…read more On the menu, it's a 1/2 Fried Chicken with 2 sides and choice of a bread. All of that for $9.99! You can't beat that price. I ordered the Fried Chicken with Creamed Potatoes with gravy, Cabbage and hot rolls. The plate came out hot and steamy. The creamed potatoes were served with some of the daily special's gravy on it. It wasn't chicken gravy but it was a good homemade gravy. Were the potatoes real or boxed or a mix of both? I couldn't tell. If they were boxed, they fixed them up to taste real. If they were real, they sure did a great job at creaming them. It's on debate. The Cabbage was cooked perfect, seasoned well. The hot rolls were not homemade but they were fresh, light and fluffy and served warm. The star of the plate was definitely the chicken. Cooked to order, it came out super hot. It was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside, meat was tender and juicy on the inside. I peeled off some of the skin and juice was dripping all over the plate. It's hard to find good fried chicken and I've been trying several of the local places but so far, this place is #1. Also, the sweet tea is GREAT! The service was super friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and there are lots of tables and booths, but get there early or after lunch because they were full when I arrived at around 1:30pm. I would highly recommend for the Fried Chicken.

Also in the menus was an 8 oz ribeye for...brace yourself...$16.99!!!! Now let me talk about the service. Demarcus, our server was incredibly attentive to our needs. So much so that we left her a +50% tip. If I lived nearby they would know me by name. Heck, they might even put my name on the wall for being so regular. If you don't eat here when you're in town, I'm sorry, but I just cannot think highly of you. /joke/ So, overall, they get 6 stars out of 5.

I had the French toast platter with the fried chicken. The French toast was pretty good but the bread used was pretty flat but it was tasty and the chicken was overcooked, there was some black spots from being fried too long.
