The place is filthy and the portions size have been cut in half and yet the price went up.

Inside are plenty of tables and seating, their giant menu behind the counter, drink coolers with a vast selection of soft drinks, juices, and water. The staff are in uniform, looking professional and they are eager to serve. Very friendly and helpful and where I typically would've ordered something like an Italian sub or meatball sub as a good baseline to compare sandwich shops and delis, I had taken a peek at their Yelp review pictures, and I ordered their Cuban sandwich. Lil Havana. The best Cuban I've ever had was in a shop in Florida many years ago and I had made a bigger and sloppier version of it myself at home (after many attempts to perfect it) so I've been looking for a Cuban sandwich to knock my socks off and based on the reviews here on Yelp, Lil Papi's was going to be the place to try it. Ohhhh my Lawert!!!! Get it! Just get it! It's the #1 Cuban Sandwich and it's the #1 sandwich OF ALL TIME in my humble opinion. Lil Papi...I'm in loooooove!

Cheesesteak is one of my favorite sandwiches. For sure I would love to try! Damn! It was awesome! Perfect meat to cheese ratio, with crispy bacon bits inside. The banh mi style sandwich bread is a perfect combo. Crunch on the outside and soft and a bit of a bite on the inside. Now I wanna come back and try a lot more of their sammitches!

Alongside…read morethe restaurant they have boat gas, a small boat launch, and a pretty well stocked convenience store. If you are on the lake it's extremely handy for all of these things. There is a gas/shopping dock as well as a dock for those eating/staying longer. There is also ample beach where you can beach your boat or jetski. The store has non-ethanol gas for your boating needs as well as most things you could need at a quick stop type store. They have ice cream and other treats as well. The restaurant is mostly outdoor seating due to being on the water. I would describe the food as sort of upscale diner. They have the expected diner/family restaurant fair such as burgers and shrimp (my personal favorite) but also have proper steaks and other items you wouldn't expect from a normal diner. Everything I've had has been exactly what I wanted so I have no complaints of the food. They also have a ton of beach side seating for events (mostly concerts) and that's great if you just want to grab a beer and sit. It gets busy on Friday and weekends, especially for dinner so be prepared. I like to go through the week when it's a little less full.

My husband and I were in downtown Greensboro on a Saturday afternoon and decided to hit this place up for lunch. When they called the place The Bodega, they really mean it's a bodega. It's decked out like a small convenience store from the second you walk in. We ordered our food at the cash register to eat at one of their tables outside. The cashier brought our sandwiches out about 10 minutes after ordering. I ordered the Turkey Caesar. It had turkey, shaved parmesan, marinated cherry tomato, house-made Caesar dressing, onion, and romaine lettuce in an 8" sandwich roll. It was a little pricey at $15, but it was worth the splurge. The dressing and parmesan cheese were unbelievable! Since this is in downtown Greensboro, there is no dedicated parking lot but we easily found street parking nearby. The place has a few tables outside for customers to enjoy their food. If you're looking for a good sandwich, I highly recommend checking The Bodega out.

Wow! The reviews…read moremade me do it and I'm so glad I did! We stopped in during the FIFA championship game and had the most delicious Smashburger and fries while watching Spain win! Inside the building you order at the counter for any of the restaurants advertised on the exterior of the building which includes this one. In contrast to other reviews, yes, there are drinks on site available. It's just a separate order. Beers, sodas, water, etc., all available. The burger? We both got the Slowpoke smashee. Double burger with cheese and the slightly perfectly crunchy edges of beef, pickles that zing, a sauce that just makes it all MELT in your mouth, and the fries which are literally the PERFECT crisp! On man! They are seasoned well, and fried perfectly. The burger was a bit greasy as expected and the perfect blend of seasoned beef, toasted brioche bun, sautéed onions that are delicious and perfectly sautéed, and that melted real cheese and sauce. It was so good my boyfriend ate his and ordered another one of course he had a stomach ache after, but yes, he devoured two doubles. It was that tasty. My pictures do it absolutely no justice because we dove in before I took them so they look a mess. It came looking much better than these photos of burgers we had already tore into from the excitement from reading the reviews. Service was great at the counter. Friendly. Your food gets brought out to you. The seating area is comfortable and casual and even includes some couches and several TVs. Perfect place to watch the game.
