If you've ever spent any time in Pensacola, you learn pretty quick that no trip is complete without sliding into a booth at a good old Waffle House. The bright yellow sign glowing in the night is basically a Southern lighthouse for hungry people. Whether it's sunrise, midnight, or some questionable hour after a long night out, that place is usually open and ready for business. Now I remember back in the old days when you'd walk up to the counter and the cook would yell the order across the grill like he was quarterbacking a football team. Plates clanging, coffee pouring, somebody working the waffle iron like a seasoned blacksmith it's not just a restaurant, it's dinner and a show. And the crowd? Let's just say Waffle House attracts some savory characters. Truck drivers, night owls, early risers, vacationers, and the occasional philosopher solving the world's problems over a plate of hashbrowns. And speaking of food it hits the spot every single time. The waffles come out golden and crispy, the eggs and bacon are sizzling right off the flat-top, and those legendary hashbrowns come any way you want them: scattered, smothered, covered, chunked whatever your heart desires. Breakfast at midnight? Perfectly normal here. Dinner at 6 a.m.? Nobody bats an eye. That's the beauty of the place. When everything else in town is closed and the night's getting long, the lights at Waffle House are still shining. It's simple, it's a little loud, it's a little wild and it's exactly the way a classic American diner ought to be. read more

How doesn't this location have more stars?? The food is amazing, the workers were soooo friendly, and the food came out quickly. Absolute 10/10, we have been to soo many restaurants out here (4-5 star) and this one has by far the best hospitality. read more

My Husband just left this location and they and by the time he got home they got his order wrong. Instead of hashbrowns, they gave him grits, and instead of white toast, they gave him raisin toast. The service has really decreased and we will not being going back to that location. read more

I come to this Waffle House often, see most of the same people but today the older lady, JILL was so rude. Like it absolutely blew my mind at how someone can be so rude and nasty yet still smiling. I would absolutely recommend not going here if Jill is working. She started my day off with a bad taste in my mouth. She was mad I had to unlock my card before paying and walked away from the register as i was unlocking my card. Then, when I was ready she told me I would have to wait, and proceeded to tell me that my food wouldn't be made until i could pay. (as if i wasnt going to pay) Which is also wild due to the fact that every other time that I go, they make my to-go order first THEN cash me out... Ultimately, the food was good but the service was absolutely atrocious asides from Sam he had a very positive attitude! Hire more Sams!!!! read more

Unless you have all the time in the world and the patience of a saint, definitely wouldn't recommend.

I have had very bad waffle house experiences but I would say this was one of the best. The food quenched all of my cravings! The waitress was very helpful! It was great to have a positive waffle house experience cause I could not say the same for the past. I would recommend this waffle house to others. Is it 4-star food? No. Is it a 4-star waffle house? Yes. It exceeded my expectations. read more

Waffle House - Chocolate Chip Waffle - Diners Near Me - Pensacola, Florida

Girl cook with red hair started going off about how we "pissed her off" immediately after we walked in the door. We didn't say a word to her. She said there's a burger joint next door and we should go there instead. This waffle house was me and my boyfriend's place to go after work cause we work late nights in the service industry. This was extremely upsetting and I don't ever wanna go back. She made us feel horrible and uncomfortable. We got up and left after trying to sit down to order. I could tell she embarrassed her coworkers by acting this way. She should not be working in a place like this if she can't handle it. If I could give this 0 stars, I would. read more

Server had the personality of a door knob and the skill set of one as well. Went in around 8pm with 3 people. We ordered breakfast- 1 bowl. Steak and an omelet, and 2 eggs and sausage. The bowl was fine, steak came out and 10 mins later the omelet, the eggs came out and never did get my sausage but 15 mins later getting her attn oh i can cook that for you, yh never mind, no apology nothing. The place was not busy and she couldve cared less which is truly sad because i really like WH. read more

Come on. It's a landmark franchise. It's the only place you go after 2am. Order the cheesesteak, add an egg (over easy) and had double hashbrowns. You will be full and thr hangover will be cured. You are welcome. read more

So my daughter loves all waffle houses. I was never that impressed. But that said, this place was awesome. The service was fast and the server was helpful and attentive. The food was perfect. Everything was hot, cooked as ordered, hot and delicious. My over medium eggs were exactly right. Waffles were yummy. Hash browns cooked to tender inside and crispy outside. They grilled the ham before putting it in the omelet someone else ordered. Real attention to detail. I'm shocked. You can get food that is good, fast and cheap. But somehow they pull it off at this location. Highly recommended. read more

My wife and I went to this Waffle House on a Thursday night at around 6pm, it was just us, the workers, and some soul music. We were greeted with the best service I've ever received at a Waffle House, Kaurtney was extremely polite and accommodating to our orders. Our food came quickly and was the typical quality you would expect from a Waffle House. This Waffle House was particularly clean, usually you can feel a slight grime when you enter these restaurants but every surface felt clean and it smelled like the whole place had just been wiped down. There was a small issue with the check before we left where we got charged $6 more dollars than we were supposed to. However, she quickly apologized for her mistake and didn't hesitate to fix it. read more

Was told we couldn't sit at a table together because we had over 6 people even though the other tables around us had more people. Our server was rude and unapologetic. I understand being frustrated or having a bad day but it's really not your guest problem. After she made us split out party, we were harassed by security and had issues getting our food out. As a server, I personally know some things are out of your control but you can handle it better. But the food was great and will always come back for that matter. I just hope I have a different server next time. read more

This was such a good Waffle House! It was fairly clean for a Waffle House, excellent service (except for a minor mess up on prices on our ticket), and our food was exactly how it should have been. Our server was super accommodating to my specific order of half blueberry half chocolate chip waffle and was so nice and polite. She charged us for two egg meals instead of just two eggs but had no problem and no attitude to adjust her mistake. Our food was great and I actually cleared my plate at a Waffle House for once. Our table was nice and clean/wiped off and all the workers were nice to us. I don't eat Waffle House much, but when I do I expect to have a sub par experience but this location justified otherwise. read more

Waffle House - Diners Near Me - Pensacola, Florida

Food was excellent, service was excellent, fast to get you seated and to get you your food and go this is how it's supposed to be

I travel quite a bit and have always seen the Iconic yellow Waffle House sign but have never found myself eating here that was until recently during Halloween weekend..... I must say I was super impressed with the friendliness of the staff, their professionalism in their serving skills, the quality of the food and timeliness of the service so much so that I dined there twice in a row. The steak and eggs, blueberry waffles, egg, cheese and bacon sandwich were all very good and filling. My friends attested that this location was far better than some of their others and I can see why. I'll wait back! read more

I love me some WaHo for random late night food cravings or stops during a road trip. The service at this one was spectacular (maybe because the ratio of servers to customers was very high). Or, the more likely answers, is that customer service is extremely valued. Either way, we had a good time and the food was just as expected for a corporate diner. I'm happy I live close to this joint. WAHO! read more

Went and got a to go order, and not only did they charge a "to go fee" that they didn't tell us about, but didn't have everything on the ticket and while I was picking up the order the price kept going up and up. Chocolate chip waffle has barely any chips, and my hash browns were a little bigger than my palm. Not worth 25$ when I normally spend 18$ and get what I actually wanted. read more

Best waffle house ever, went at 3 am and it was packed from all those late night people that really need something good to soak up all the alcohol in their body. Or they just really ike breakfast at 3am, or are going to work for some ungodly reason... Regardless, SOO good here, had the greatest waitress ever, she got everyone order right on teh first try and was very attentive, might have to do something with her 17 years of experience but even still, she was lovely. Waffles are waffles no matter what, but I was very happy and would hit this one all the time if I was a Pensacola native. read more

I like waffle in the morning or afternoon but one day was special, I and couple of co-worker (we are all in the military to serve our country) went to Waffle House with uniform in Pensacola Florida and when we asked for our bills, guess what waitress told us one of her regular paid our bill. He or she was already gone. It was heart touch! Actually it was my first time it happened. It was not a big money but it was really appreciated. read more

Five stars, seriously. Why? At 3 am, we had a server who , with her 17 years of experience, managed to nail all of orders in the middle of a packed house, with a waiting list going out the door. The kitchen made great food and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. read more

This is probably the worst Waffle House you can choose to go to in Pensacola. If it happens to be your only option, I recommend trying to get there well before 1 a.m. since it tends to get extremely crowded after this time. Food was good, service was ridiculously below average, but you can meet some interesting people! read more

I thought I loved the waffle house. Is it this location? I ate here twice, food was awful waffles were soggy, hash browns soggy as well, bacon burned to a crisp. Ill have to visit another location but not for a longgggg time as Im grossed out by them at this point read more

I like WH and mostly encounter fast food with friendly service, however, when I walked into this location, I almost got ran over by an employee on her way out, she didn't even say excuse me. Then the lady waiting on us, Latrice, who claims to have been working for WF for 5 years, got offended because she could not get the napkin on the table properly placed under the fork and knife, after that, service was horrendous ! She was plain down nasty. Don't let this keep you from WH, just pick another location. read more

While in this restaurant to eat, I overhead a customer complaining about hair in their food. As I was eating, I discovered hair in my food also. When I told our server she was horrified. I could not continue to eat and she took my food away. While my boyfriend continued to eat, I saw a long red hair in his food! I told the server about this too and she asked where it could come from. I pointed out that the cook had a red mustache. The cook heard what I was saying and just laughed! They did comp our whole meal, but I will not be eating there again! read more

What an awful experience. I have been here several times and it has been adequate, but the waitress this time was the worst. She charged me separately for a grand slam minus the eggs... she could have cooked them and thrown them in the garbage and I would have saved $3. How ridiculous. I didn't even realize one item was missing until I was well on the road. Due to the higher price, I though the last item has been added. When I called to get my charge corrected is when she said she didn't even ring the other item in. The cook was the only saving grace who offered to give me the missing item if I came back. I declined since I was no longer close. The waitress was huffy and put out taking my order and was sarcastic in her "apology" on the phone. I will not be back if she is working. read more

I have lived in the Pensacola area for a year, and visited this Waffle House on 7-8 occasions. More often that not, I have left disappointed. This location is always short staffed, even by today's "every place is short staffed" standards. Because of this, service is always horridly slow--though usually through no fault of the cook/waiter. The right side of the restaurant nearest the restroom smells like raw sewage every time I go; meaning there are three larger tables that are virtually unusable. The last straw and genesis of this review was my experience there today. Went in at 2 p.m., with no one else in the restaurant. After receiving our drinks, the waitress took my wife's order, but somehow had "something come up" before taking mine. She left, while another couple entered and sat. She got their drinks, took their order, and literally ignored us for reasons I cannot comprehend. To top it off, my wife's drink was severely watered down and had coffee grinds in it. First time i've ever flat walked out of a place, and last time i'll ever visit this location. read more

Awesome service and everyone was vey nice, I'm glad we didn't drive out of the way for anything else for breakfast! :)
