Everything was very oily, especially the fried pickles, which was off putting. The oily fries and fried pickles were mostly thrown away unfortunately. Clear and kind, she took our order accurately. Every surface was clean: beverage station, floors, tables. Food was fast and hot. We were checked on twice while eating. Mac - cooked correctly, smooth cheeses. Would eat here again. My family local and this is a go to place. Sauces. Tried. Cayenne ranch - tasty with hint of spice. Lots of different dipping sauces although you only get 1 or 2 included depending on how many tenders you order. Toast was good and they were generous with the amount of fries given. Our first experience at a Slim Chickens was in Navarre, FL. This was a great fast food experience. First the staff was great - Very friendly and knowledgeable. There was a little line at the counter when we arrived. The young staff behind the counter in the grill area and drive-thru appeared to be very busy. The Manager on duty was quite the NASCAR fan. I recognized that because of the car numbers tattooing on his neck. The tattoos caught my eye because I too like NASCAR but never had the urge to get it tattooed on my body. I only mention that because I began watching his response to the line and number of people waiting for food. He handled it in a very high professional manner and went out of his way to make sure all the customers were taken care of. The restaurant and the men's restroom were very clean. I was so excited to eat here so writing this review is sad. We went around 5pm to the drive thru it was very busy long line but I understand all orders are made to order so it would take awhile, no complaints there. My concern was a teen staff member that had long braided ponytails she had them hanging toward the front and she kept playing with her hair twirling around her hand while she was handling the drinks. All the other staff that had long hair had their hair tied back. I request to have another teen that had their hair tied back to get my drinks. I love long hair but playing with your hair or even having it not tied back while handling food products is a huge no-no in my book. $45 for our dinner and I really couldn't enjoy my meal as I did when we ate at Slim Chickens in Fort Walton. read more
