I ordered for the whole family for the first time, everyone agreed on the following rank: #1 - Chic Fil A #2 - Popeyes # 3 - Slim Chickens We tried the spicy chicken sandwich, chicken nuggets, French fries, and fried pickles. Everything was very oily, especially the fried pickles, which was off putting. The oily fries and fried pickles were mostly thrown away unfortunately. The chicken was okay, not bad, but not good and on the bland side. Even the dipping sauces were bland. We ordered Uber Eats, so cannot comment on the ambiance, but will not be returning. read more

Good, hot chicken tenders much like PDQ Chicken. A sign says they make everything to order. Lots of different dipping sauces although you only get 1 or 2 included depending on how many tenders you order. Toast was good and they were generous with the amount of fries given. Just got my order and the wings are smaller than a robin's wing!! I have a photo!! Less than 1/2 slice of bread!! Everything is soggy, including the box it came in. As a result, we almost went to Jersey Mike's instead, which is a place I enjoy and often frequent. We tried Slim Chickens anyway. The experience could not have gone better. The place is spotless inside and is organized meticulously, the food was piping hot, the tenders were sublime, and the sauces were unique and well-balanced; I tried gravy, Korean BBQ, hot, and cayenne ranch. My party had tenders, fries, a chicken sandwich, mac and cheese, sweet tea, raspberry lemonade, a strawberry cheesecake jar, and a brownie. It was all very good, but the chicken was the shining star, both the tenders and the filet on the sandwich. The service was exceptional. The one star reviewers are wrong. Persnickety. Rude. Our first experience at a Slim Chickens was in Navarre, FL. This was a great fast food experience. First the staff was great - Very friendly and knowledgeable. There was a little line at the counter when we arrived. The young staff behind the counter in the grill area and drive-thru appeared to be very busy. The Manager on duty was quite the NASCAR fan. I recognized that because of the car numbers tattooing on his neck. The tattoos caught my eye because I too like NASCAR but never had the urge to get it tattooed on my body. I only mention that because I began watching his response to the line and number of people waiting for food. He handled it in a very high professional manner and went out of his way to make sure all the customers were taken care of. The restaurant and the men's restroom were very clean. Worst food I have had in a long time. I will never darken the doors to this place. Chicken sandwich consisted of one overcooked piece is chicken tenders. Covered half the bun. The bun was burnt on top. Had to garbage it. Fries were acceptable. What a damn shame to open a nice restaurant and it turns out to be sub-par by anyone's standards. Now let me go home and puke!!!!
