    Western Omlett

Stopped in on our drive from Pensacola. Service and food were great, we were seated quickly and while the place was packed on a Saturday the food came out quickly. The western omelet had a ton of cheese onions and peppers and the biscuit was amazing and the kids loved the pancakes.

    Belgian Waffle with Chocolate Chips

While on vacay we were looking for a simple breakfast spot and came across Alphy's. On our visit (Monday) we strolled right in at about 8:30 am. The hostess and staff are very friendly, and the sweet tea is fantastic! We didn't have to wait long at all for our food and our waitress was very attentive. We sampled Belgian Waffle with Chocolate Chips, and we would have preferred the chocolate chips to have been baked in the batter instead of merely sprinkled on top. Still, it was delicious. The sausage patty was smaller than we were used to, so know that if you are ordering it. Biscuits are fluffy and delicious. We also had a cinnamon hot cake that was reminiscent of a cinnamon roll. That was the dish of the day, it was fabulous and with the icing drizzle didn't even need syrup. The ham and cheese omelet comes with a side and bread, so we chose hashbrowns (well done) and a biscuit. We ordered a side of gravy for the biscuit. Solid dishes, all around. If you are looking for a solid breakfast, this is it. No frills, just good food and friendly people. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Pecan pancake and cinnamon roll Belgian waffle

My two siblings and I visited Navarre Beach from Middle Tennessee, and we loved Alphy's so much that we had breakfast there 3 times in our 5-day trip!! It's a mom and pop type of diner that seems to have lots of regulars. But the FOOD! Oh my god the food. The pancakes are huge and delicious, the biscuits are fluffy and buttery, and it's required that you get the cinnamon roll Belgian waffle!! Medium fried eggs cooked perfectly, and I loved the summer sausage too. Ladelle (sorry if it's misspelled) was our favorite server, she was on top of everything and we loved her vibe. We'd come back to Navarre just to eat at Alphy's another 3+ times!

Eggs Benedict with grilled crabcakes instead of Canadian bacon.

The food and service here were great with several breakfast options off the beaten path. My wife got eggs Benedict served with grilled crabcake instead of Canadian bacon, and she loved it! I got blackened shrimp and cheddar grits, and it was amazing. The service was fast, polite and inviting. We'll be back to try the breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches, which are difficult to find in the South!

I got the special of the day which was swordfish for $18.00. It came with 2 sides. I didn't like the fried okra because it was a bit greasy. I didn't eat the hush puppies because they were even more greasy. I didn't eat any of the beans but my husband said they were too sweet. The swordfish was sliced too thin and was blackened. It was pretty salty. I tried one of my husband's shrimp and all I can say is that it was edible. It wasn't particularly good. Our 19 year old granddaughter got grilled chicken. She said it was okay but when I asked her which was better, that grilled chicken or the grilled chicken at Chic fil a, she said Chick fil a. She's not even a chic fil a fan. We went at noon. They weren't extremely busy as I thought they would be based on the reviews. The atmosphere was rustic. Everything was self service. My husband left a tip when he ordered at the counter thinking they would bring the food to us and clear the table. It was all self service.

The setting was also beautiful. We chose to sit outside overlooking the bay. While it was dark enough that we had to use our phone flashlights to see our food, we didn't mind because the skyline view was lovely and we enjoyed watching the glow-in-the-dark kayaks on the water. Unfortunately, the service was a different story. You order and tip at the counter before being served, then find your own table. Once seated, it was unclear whether food would be brought out, whether our name would be called inside, or what the process was. No one ever came outside to check on us, offer napkins, provide condiments, or ask if we needed anything. I eventually sent my 11-year-old daughter inside to ask for napkins. The restaurant was not busy, and there appeared to be plenty of staff on hand. However, it felt like everyone was focused on cleaning and closing for the night rather than taking care of the guests who were still dining. My only suggestion would be to reconsider the tipping process. Since gratuity is collected before any service is provided, it's difficult to know what level of service you're rewarding. If I returned, I would likely skip the pre-tip option and bring cash to tip afterward based on the actual experience. The food was excellent, but the lack of service left a lasting impression. Based solely on the meal, I'd absolutely return. Based on the service, I'm not sure I would.

Loved it. Like, really really…read more I was on the hunt for our Gulf View spot. I was committed to finding a restaurant with a gulf view and great food. I found it here. The prices are more reminiscent of LA but the quality of ingredients was great. The service, sufficiently attentive. The view? Omg spectacular. Parking is simple. It's tucked in Navarre Beach which is a quiet, peaceful place. We sat outside and had it to ourselves because it was hot. The indoor was cute though. Nice high, beam vaulted ceilings and very fun scallop shell light fixtures. It felt like a beach house but nonetheless we opted for the fresh air overlooking the gulf. We had shade although they also have sofa seating in the sun. The salad was the best I've had here locally. Reminiscent of a CA salad and I deeply missed that. The pork belly was wild! A thick generous portion. My husband devoured it. It was very good, although he found it slightly overdone, I did not as pork should be cooked thoroughly. I am looking forward to returning here. I ordered the special (Alfredo with blackened shrimp). It was DELICIOUS. The Hugo spritz was also good. Abigail was prompt, kind, and accommodating. The one small issue is that the outdoor string lights weren't working, but Abigail brought out table lamps to provide light once it got darker outside. The ambiance outside was nice too with a beautiful view of sunset and comfortable shaded area. We liked how there were some affordable options on the menu, but most of the prices are definitely high at this location. WE LOVE ABIGAIL!
