The people working here is what makes this the Good waffle house
Sierra T.

This is the Good Waffle House in Naples. To be completely honest, Waffle Houses scare me and we went here because it was one of the few places that was open late. That being said, I'm looking forward to going here over iHop or Perkins next time I want to eat late in Naples. The crew was so cheery and my food was perfect. Grits were not watery, we got our food really fast, the waffles were perfect and the grilled cheese was great comfort food. Nothing gourmet, just simple dishes done very well. It is just as clean/dirty as any other Waffle House but the service from Matt, AJ and the Fauzi (?), the cook was such a treat (esp for a 12am weekend dining experience). Really swell, upbeat staff, and the most memorably good waffles I've had at a Waffle House. The staff (mostly Matt) makes being there very enjoyable. The staff operates really well with each other.

"What's normal anyways?" ~Forrest Gump - After a long day of checking out Naples and Marco Island, I needed some normal, ordinary, routine food, so I went to Waffle House. Is that normal? It's all fried, and I'm not sure they serve veggies, unless bacon is a veggie. Butt is bacon a vegetable or a fruit? I believe fruits have seeds. Anyway, on the way to Waffle House i kept seeing signs that said "Panther Crossing." So I thought there was a high school team named the Panthers, but nope, Normal here is real wild Panthers crossing the highway. Go figure! Q. Why did the Panther cross the road? A. To get to the other side, or is that a chicken joke? Maybe the Panthers are going to Waffle House too, See ya there!

This has to be perhaps the best Waffle House ever. Every time I come they outdo themselves. Good amazing and Williamiw went beyond the call of duty to make this a great experience

Delicious breakfast! - hashbrowns are always crisp, scrambled eggs soft, and waffle is Crispy & Fluffy

Heading on the way home from our weekend trip, the family was hungry and decided to stop for brunch at the Waffle House! Going in today, this one of the smaller Waffle houses we've seen, and there was limited seating inside. Today, we ordered 1 breakfast plate with a regular waffle, scrambled eggs, city ham, and hashbrowns; whereas my dad and I got the 2 bacon Angus cheese burgers with hashbrowns! Moving on with my review, the food today was great! For starters, both dishes had super crispy hashbrowns (this is Waffle Houses bread & butter), the breakfast had very soft cooked eggs, ham steak was greasy, but tender, and the Waffle had the perfect chew & Crunch. As for the burgers, the beef actually tasted pretty fresh and so were the veggies. But what really brought this sandwhich together was the bacon! Had gave the sandwhich a wonderful peppery flavor. In contrast to the food today, we were a tad dissapointed to find our server was in a foul mood. She wasn't present to refill our drinks and bothered when we asked for condiments. Despite the mediocre service, our breakfast/lunch at Waffle House was good!

Chicken Sandwich (best ever) and some hash browns

We had a good experience here. Its Sunday & they were busy, and yes there were young adults working & they were all kind & accommodating. For the bad reviews, I'm not sure. It was clean, friendly and I'm not expecting a 5 star dinning experience. It was a perfect "Waffle House" experience. And Bianca our server was great. If you're expecting a fine dinning breakfast ... well, you're at the wrong place. Thanks for the great meal.

Waffle House is somewhere you want to go to eat affordable. I come here once in a while for their steak and eggs breakfast plate. But downfall was the staff, besides my waitress (she was sweet), all I kept hearing was vulgar language and duties being refused to be completed if it wasn't their tables or customers. And knowing that not only myself had my kids there, there were other families there. Not my best experience, but unfortunately, neither has it been the worst.

This was the worst restaurant in terms of cleanliness. I will never return, the owners should be embarrassed.

It's a nice place inside of Great Wolf Lodge. A very simple menu. I kind of like the kids options more than the adult options. That's just my opinion. I had a cheeseburger. Asked for it to be well done. But nope. It was pink. More pink than I cared for. But ate half of it. I'm still alive. My husband got wings with sweet chili sauce. Grandson got Mac and cheese with French fries. Granddaughter got chicken tenders with fries. Very very pricey. But you pay for the place. Definitely not for the food. Our overall experience at Fireside was nice. And I do recommend because it's on property.

When we arrived at our reserved time, we stood at the front while the hosts whispered to each other, waved their hands around, and even covered their faces with a menu while talking--yet never greeted us. Why have hosts who can't even acknowledge arriving guests? Our server, seemed unenthusiastic. You would think that with how expensive it is to eat there, the food would at least be good--but it wasn't. We ordered the crispy smoked pork belly, which was pretty good, but everything after that went downhill. I got the buffalo chicken mac and cheese, and my boyfriend got the chili lime chicken bowl. Both were disappointing. I had barely any chicken, and the flavor reminded me of frozen buffalo chicken you'd heat up for Sunday night football. The mac and cheese was bland and tasted mostly like noodles and butter with a bit of ricotta, buffalo sauce, and a few small pieces of chicken. Also the onions on top tasted disgusting, the breading came off the second i ate it, and i ended up with soft pieces of onion in my mac and cheese. My boyfriend's bowl also had barely any chicken and was mostly just rice--you pay $23 for essentially a bowl of rice. I'm extremely unhappy with my experience at Fireside.. Everyone is eating in the same huge room that echos and all you hear is kids screaming. At the end of our dinner, when our server dropped off the checks, we realized why she might have seemed unenthusiastic and provided only mediocre service: an automatic 18% gratuity was already added. I feel like i just wasted an hour of my time along with 80 dollars

It was a little cool at first, but once the sun came up it warmed right up and was super comfortable. The waitresses were so nice and really on top of everything. There were seven of us, and we ordered a mix of breakfast and lunch. Everything came out fast, fresh, and hot. Breakfast was a hit--especially the pancakes. They had this perfect little crunch on the outside, and of course we had to order some "for the table" because that's just what we do. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and all the bacon and sausage were delicious. The lunch crew was just as happy. The bleu cheeseburger looked amazing, and the fries were perfectly crispy. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken fried steak again because he loved it last time, and he said it was just as good--tender, flavorful, and that gravy was spot-on. Overall, Alda's Diner is such a great find. Good, simple, home-cooked food done right. We'll definitely be back, and if you haven't tried it yet, you should!

They are great about getting customers in and out quickly (without you ever feeling rushed). We waited for about 10 minutes to be seated and were promptly greeted and our order was taken shortly after! It took maybe 10 minutes for our food to come out and it was all hot! I'm not usually a fan of coffee at breakfast spots and diners, but I gave it a try and it was probably the best drip coffee I've had! Our server had asked if I planned to share the full order of biscuits and gravy and I'm so glad she asked because the 1/2 order was HUGE! We got all kinds of things: the western skillet, the western omelette, the darling breakfast (kids breakfast), 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy, hash browns, bacon, eggs, toast, a biscuit, pancakes etc. everything was incredibly delicious and will keep us full all day!! We witnessed how much the owner & staff care about their customers and could tell the majority of the restaurant were regulars! Thank you for such a great experience. The menu has lots of appetizers, a few salads, entrees, sandwiches and specialties as well as desserts, I settled on the baked penne. Food arrived timely and looked great. For me, the baked penne was too cheesy with not enough sauce. I was disappointed since every description of their sauce made it sound so good, so I feel like I missed out. I would return and try something else.

Naturally smoked turkey with brie, pesto mayo, and tomato jam on gluten free bread, served with a fresh Caesar salad. Pretty good sandwich. The turkey was flavorful, the bread held up nicely, and the salad was crisp with a good coating of parmesan. Decent value for what you get. My wife ordered the fish tacos, which came with a side salad topped with blue cheese crumbles and red onion. The presentation looked great with nice char on the fish, fresh pico, and shredded cabbage piled high. But the execution fell short. The fish itself was chewy and not very tender. That's a problem when fish tacos are one of your popular dishes. On the bright side, our waitress was nice and attentive. No complaints on the service front. The cozy atmosphere lives up to the farm to table vibe they're going for. The Verdict: The Local delivers a decent lunch with good service and fresh ingredients. My smoked turkey sandwich hit the spot, but those fish tacos need work. Four stars for a solid overall experience, but maybe skip the tacos next time.
