This is the second Lake Park Diner we've tried and I wasn't aware they had a second restaurant in Naples. Google knew it though and the diner showed up when I asked for 'restaurants near me'. This diner is right off Tamiami Trail, a place where many good restaurants are located. Since we got there early, dining was set up for outside, but the great spring weather makes eating outdoors a fun experience. After entering the restaurant, we ordered our food and sat down. There wasn't a long wait for lunch, we got fed quickly and everything was good. The menu is the same as the restaurant at Founders Square, with salads, bowls, a good variety of handhelds, kids options and lots of sides. They even have rotisserie chicken, prime rib and miso salmon, for when you want a little extra. The Parque Del Lago taco salad and California panini looked interesting, but hubs went with the grilled Mahi sandwich and I decided on the classic burger. We both got an order of those addictive sweet potato fries! Service is friendly, the restaurant is clean and welcoming and we'll definitely be back for another lunch in the future. read more

Yelp helped us discover this great lunch spot after we left the nearby Naples Zoo. Although there was no lake or park nearby, it offered comfortable seating in a shaded and fanned outdoor patio area. Each of our lunch entrées were delicious! We started out with a yummy appetizer of deviled eggs. I got the Korean Short Rib Power Bowl, which had a generous portion of tamari & brown sugar marinated short ribs, roasted cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, red bell peppers, on a bed of brown rice. Mom got the classic Fish & Chips, and my husband enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with a root beer float. I got a delicious bourbon cocktail called the Honeysuckle. I appreciate that their to-go packaging was environmentally-friendly, no Styrofoam to be found anywhere. Passed Lake Park Diner on our way back from a fun nature adventure and checked out the Yelp reviews prior to eating ... 4.3 with 428 reviews ... perfect, passed the test ! Well, the food was excellent. You place your order when you walk in... take a number and pick your table ... and they take care of the rest. I ordered the Cali Panini and it was really good. It came with a side of my choice and I picked the mac and cheese.... which was scrumptious. So much food for lunch but it was delish. The lemonade was also quite tasty. Any husband had what he said was a really good asian salad with salmon ... he was really happy! All and all, we had a wonderful lunch at Lake Park Diner ! Stopped here on our way into town. It's nice that you order at the counter but they still have staff who bring you your food and clean the tables afterwards. Food was excellent! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad was tasty and fresh. We sat outside and it was quiet and relaxing. Would definitely eat here again for a quick meal. Oh my what a hidden gem! An unusual place in a good way. You order at an outdoor counter, the menus are on the wall easy to read & sit outside or in, I think the inside isn't a huge area but the outside is large & is all covered protecting you from sun or rain. They bring your food & drinks out. Great beer selection, they also have wine & other cocktails. We ordered 2 things & split them, the fish & chips OMG so good, the batter is unusual & the 2 pieces of fish are thick, served with yummy fries. The other sandwich we got was the Prime Rib French dip, served with Au jus & creamy horseradish & we got onion rings with that. The sandwich was unbelievably tender & the flavor was superb & also the roll it was on was very soft & easy to eat. I had an "Otto's" Barn beer which was an amber & really good! I've ordered several items and LOVE the pimento chicken sandwich (despite not liking pimento cheese usually). It's a wonderful balance of flavors and the accompanying fries are always fresh and salted well. Recently I tried the signature Lake Park Mojito and fish and chips -- great portions and delicious. Not greasy either. Tartar sauce was a little more on the potato salad taste and texture which was a little odd, but the lemon wedge was a nice addition to get the necessary acidity. When you walk up you see a bunch of covered outdoor seating, high top tables, low tables, some under shade, some out of shade, and there's an indoor seating area as well. Went to visit our daughter in Naples, and this is the second time that we've enjoyed this fantastic eatery! Five of us enjoyed our lunch very much. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich, my daughter had fried chicken, my son-in-law had half a rotisserie chicken, my grandson enjoyed chicken nuggets, and I had a delicious burger with their brand new GLUTEN FREE bun! My husband ordered the lake park burger medium well and it came out almost rare and the fries were cold. Sent it back and the second time it was a little better, but they forgot the fries, and the bacon was still pink. I ordered the favorite buttermilk fried chicken and the sauce that came with it was good. However, I bit into a chicken breast and it was bloody. Bummer this place wasn't better. read more

The walk up and order feature was so quick, efficient and easy. They have outdoor seating with fans and shade and an indoor area with air conditioning which is what we chose for my elderly in-laws. The decor is so cute and the vibe is so serene and calm. The food was stellar! The portions were so much larger than we expected and had plenty to eat the next day. What a great lunch spot! Nicely decorated for the holidays and just a bright spot where the food was hot and delicious. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. But they don't just forget you. They come back and check on you to see if you need a drink refill. California panini was really good with hot and fresh fries. The mahi tacos were outstanding but the sweet potato fries were absolutely addicting. My husband who can take or leave them wanted to order an entire plate of these babies! Up until about 9 months ago this was my favorite restaurant in Naples. I've been extremely disappointed lately. Perhaps because I've been ordering for Pick Up, but I'm not pleased. A: I order my burgers w a lettuce wrap instead of bun. they just plop the burger on a leaf of lettuce in the box and call it a day. B: The fries included when ordering for Pick Up are far skimpier than what you receive in person. Not worth the $16 + tip per burger. The menu also changed. Lake Park Diner is always my first stop when visiting friends in Naples. I've never had a bad meal there, but their pimento chicken sandwich, with delightfully crispy buttermilk fried chicken, savory bacon jam, and creamy pimento cheese, is by far my favorite thing on the menu. Even the bun, which for this dish is grilled sourdough bread, is fantastic. All sandwiches come with traditional fries, which I like substituting for sweet potato fries or truffle parmesan fries. Their portions are huge, and one entree can easily feed one starving boyfriend or two people. The servers are kind and service quick, and this is an excellent spot to eat outside on a nice day. If you somehow saved room for dessert you will not be disappointed - their signature shakes are also delightful. I love the campfire super shake that comes topped with graham crackers and marshmallows. I am already dreaming of my next visit! read more

This is a really nice comfortable establishment. When you walk in, you simply walk up to the menu then to the window and place your order they will give you a number just like many other places. They bring you your drink and then they bring you this amazing meal. I had the classic burger with fries and a chocolate shake. I know too many calories but I could not resist. The shake was truly an old-fashioned style shake. It was absolutely delicious. Whipped cream on top with a maraschino cherry. The hamburger was cooked to perfection and believe it or not. The pickles spear was cold and actually Crunchy fresh. Very cool outdoor seating with a nice breeze. There are tall, bush assortments around it so it protects you from the parking lot noise. Decided to go in person and they were packed this particular night. Seeing how packed they were I decided to order my food to go. This is clearly a hot spot and it's nice that it's all outdoor seating. I got the Fish and Chips and a drink. It took about five minutes to order at the counter but I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind the wait. Once I ordered I found a table to sit at while I waited for my food. It took maybe 15-20 minutes for my food to arrive. I decided to take a quick bite while it was still hot and fresh. The first bite of fish was good. Nice and crispy like Fish and Chips should be. My family and I were visiting Naples and spent a hot humid morning at the Naples zoo. After the zoo we were all tired and hungry, a friend recommended the Lake Park Diner because it was yummy and near the zoo. I have to say I was not happy with the logistics of this place. There were plenty of open tables and I wanted to sit my kids down so they could cool down while I ordered but that was not an option. We all had to wait in a long line, wait to order, and only after that were we allowed to get a table. I would recommend a couple of things: allow families to sit down and ask that one person waits to order (trust me, no one wants to stand in line next to crabby kids). Also, I recommend that the menu is available in a couple of places, maybe handed out when people are waiting in a long line; it is an extensive menu and only available on the side of the building, which is hard to see until you are almost next in line. My other gripe is that for such a big place there are only 2 single bathroom stalls. I get that this place is in the south but I really don't understand why single stalls have to be gendered... after waiting in line behind 3 women to wash my hands and my kids hands I just took my kids to the men's single stall because it was open the whole time!! So just a suggestion to join 2023 and label both stalls as unisex or perhaps add additional bathrooms. The good: the food was delicious! We loved everything we got and I don't have any pictures of the food to share because we ate it too fast. I LOVED the Magic Palmer drink, so refreshing; I wanted to get another one but the line was too long! read more

My expectations were high but maybe I ordered the wrong things. Pimento chicken was skimpy on cheese and an over breaded hard piece of chicken. I had the grill fish sandwich. Not a fan. Bland and a lot of bun. Tartar sauce so-so. We ordered the Brussel sprout side. Almost impossible to eat. I cant remember if the had any dressing on them. One of the worst items Ive ever eaten. I ordered the mojito. Very sad tasting. Not sure they mulled the mint at all. Wife enjoyed the Spritz. Weird part was a man stood awkwardly in the center of the restaurant and would assist the runners in cleaning. He would tell them what to and just kinda stood there. My wife wanted to leave.
