I couldn't believe how fully staffed this Waffle House was and to be on a holiday is just crazy to me. The service was great and as usual the food at Waffle House is always consistently good. Hashbrowns were so buttery they just melt in your mouth. The restaurant is clean and bring a sweatshirt since they keep it so ice cold on those hot and humid days. read more

Food came out quick. The place was nice and clean. The staff were friendly and prompt. It was good breakfast spot to stop at before you hit the beach due to it being right down the road read more

Our favorite place for breakfast on the panhandle. Friendly service, the food is hot, and you're in and out to start your day. The kitchen is a well oiled machine. Seriously, I have not been this impressed since that dude landed a plane on the Hudson River. I'LL BE BACK. read more

During our stay in the area we ate breakfast here 2x and both times food was great, fast, hot and servers were friendly. Maybe one of the best Waffle Houses I have been too. read more

Waffle House - Two egg breakfast/bacon & cheese biscuit/choc chip waffles - American Near Me - Miramar Beach, Florida

Do not go here if you'd like to avoid salmonella and/or E. Coli poisoning. I had the pleasure of getting the full view of the cook staff while I was trying to enjoy my breakfast... I heard someone say "chicken" and then I tragically watched as the lady in charge of the bacon and sausage area, grab a container of raw chicken breast, then grab the chicken with her bare hands and place it on the grill. She then proceeded to go right back to her work station where she grabbed spatulas and other utensils to continue cooking. A few minutes later, I watched her grab raw ground beef, plop that onto the grill, and then grab a clean plate and placed someone's cooked sausage patties onto it. read more

Wow such a racist customer service!!! we came here with some friends to get some coffee due it was the only place open and STEPHEN (waiter) was literally in front of us and ignored us for 5min. We came out as we felt bad standing there when everyone on the crew was ignoring us and as soon as we came out he started talking with a lady and laughing. This has never happened to me. I'm Latina and with all this going on lately is the least I expect from customer service. Very sad to hear my friends saying they felt very bad about what we just experienced. read more

Outstanding staff!!! Upon our arrival, the entire staff turned and gave us the warmest welcome! Our order was taken promptly by Crissy and she continued to check in with us while we ate. The food was delicious and came exactly as ordered. We had a lovely time talking with Tim, Yoshi, and our server Crissy! Such a great experience. We definitely left much happier than we arrived! read more

Typical Waffle House pecan Belgium waffle was delicious. Server was friendly and food came out quickly. Was a good way to start the day. Parking was easy, the area around it is undergoing construction as they fix roads, expand plazas and such. Everything was as you would expect nothing stood out and nothing was wrong. read more

Waffle House - Exploring Destin - American Near Me - Miramar Beach, Florida

Two servers, three cooks including manager, eggs not cooked right, medium, whites not done, waffle burnt, (it's in their name). Waffle came at the end."and was cold. Manager cooking, no help...one in our party ordered new egg, never came, I ordered extra egg, never came. One in our party WH diamond server, was very upset about cooks not marking food, servers keeping tickets in books instead of removing after each order. To be fair B&G good, one other plate good. We were four party, had to wait for table, two tables dirty when we got there read more

Tim and Steve make the experience amazing. Wish I could rate 6/5. Waffles were great. Tim can speak to waffles and we let Steve COOK.

I'm a tried and true Waffle House fan. Seriously though I haven't visited in a long time so while traveling to our cruise in Mobile we stopped overnight at our condo in Miramar Beach. This Waffle House is right across the street so it was an easy choice for breakfast. I ordered two eggs over medium and bacon. My husband ordered the Chicken and Egg plate and ordered his hash browns scattered, covered and peppered. We both ordered water. My husband (being an expert at the Waffle House food call) knew immediately that the waitress had not called his meal correctly (mainly his hash browns). He let her know and she told them covered (still not peppered). He let the cook know immediately and they added the peppers. By the time I was done with my meal his chicken was about 3 minutes until it was ready. By the time he received it he said it didn't taste right....so all that waiting to just take two bites and we paid and were on our way. I get it and give mad props to all of the staff that works all night to make delicious food for drunk diners but at 9am on a Thursday morning with only 2 other guests...I expected a little more in the quick and correct department. Since I am more judgmental that time of day, I'll save my visits to this location for when I'm drunk :)! read more

Not doing to go orders which is fine. Cooks don't know what their doing. All my food was cold except the waffle. I ordered an all star and my sausage was missing. Terrible. read more

Very disappointed that after waiting for a seat on the waiting list, we are told we could not have our Starbucks coffee due to covid-19. WHAT???? Please post signs if outside drinks are not allowed. Save yourself time as I had to wipe down my own seat after the last people left. read more

This place has gone down hill. Kitchen area was a mess, flys in the restaurant and a ROACH CRAWLING on the wall. The waitress proceeded to get a napkin and kill it then didn't wash her hands. Spoiled our whole meal!! No offer to cover our meal. Terrible Experience that I've been to this restaurant a lot read more

Worst Waffle House experience I have ever had. The waitress was breathing on us and once spit near my silver wear. Very very dirty do not recommend!!! (Dead fly on table as well). read more

Tried to go in at 5:30am and they put chairs in front of the door and wouldn't let us past them saying they were "closed." One girl behind the counter just looked at me and shook her head "no." Didn't even have the decency to actually speak. read more

This is easily the best Waffle House we have ever been to, and between myself and the Fiance, we have been to a LOT of WH's. The staff consists of a lot of young kids learning the art of customer service, and a couple if really patient and kind managers teaching them life skills. The place was calm, clean and pleasant - a world of difference from the drama of WHs in GA. Our food came out just right, our coffee was refilled as needed and everyone was just so darn nice. We even saw a manager comp an entire meal for a couple because she (the manager) felt their food took too long to come out. When she informed the teenage waitress not to charge for that meal, the poor girl's eyes widened as though she felt like she messed up. The manager let her know it wasn't her fault, that it was her own, and the girl breathed a sigh if relief. Kudos to the management for teaching these kids what true customer service means in a kind way - their attitudes transcend into a wonderful environment that I'm certain I will never experience at another Waffle House again. read more

We were quite literally the only customers in the entire store and it still took them ten minutes to get to our table.... They were quite busy talking to each other and running around behind the counter. Had a menu that was covered in syrup that made me question the efforts to even run a dirty rag over the table. I had moved it to the side and the server was nice enough to push it right back under my arms again before I could tell him that it was dirty. I mean - it's Waffle House.... read more

You go for the experience. Food was average. It's fun to see them running around, but don't go if it's too busy. Not worth it.

This was by far the worst Waffle House I have been to. The eggs were runny, the grits were hard, the bacon didn't even look like bacon it was black, the staff was just sitting in the back while only one girl was in the front. And the store was just overall nasty there was food on the floor. I'd advise you not to spend your money here. read more

I went to this waffle house at 8:45am. I like to sit at the high bar counter due to a bad back. 8:45 5 of five seats taken. 4 guys with coffee cups and one with a plate. I have other errands I thought, let me check back. 9:30 5 of 5 seats taken. 4 of 5 are the same guys as before. Curiously they only have coffee cups in front of them still. Let me run to the gym next and I will come back I thought. 10:15 5 of 5 seats taken and you guessed it, 4 of the 5 are the same group drinking coffee. I guess there is no room for people who actually eat food in this restaurant. Management should step up and enforce some type of no loitering policy. So instead of eating breakfast today, here is a review instead. Tastes good. As good as an endless cup of coffee drank by a waffle house loiterer. I won't be back soon. read more

No takeout orders during COVID-19? That is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. I just don't understand. I would pretty much do anything to avoid dining in at a Waffle House, ESPECIALLY THIS ONE. Doesn't look clean and definitely doesn't follow social distancing guidelines. I would suggest doing more for your customers during this time. read more

What can I say, I love Waffle House, and this one is no exception. We were there around 9pm on a Saturday night. It wasn't terribly busy, and the staff was energetic and friendly. The food was great, as usual. It's perfect dive-y diner food for a really good price. I recommend the All-Star Special (breakfast) because you get the most for your money, but they have a lot of other options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. read more

This place rocks your socks. I try not to be too generous with my 5 stars but I do love this place. As we were driving into Destin from Mobile, AL. we kept passing signs for Waffle House. I am not particular to a diner but my gf is. She absolute refuses to eat a Golden Nuggets and others and Waffle House with its yellow lettering reminded me of a GN. I thought nothing of it until by necessity we were forced to loiter on the outskirts of Destin, FL at 4:30 AM. We figured as good a time as any for bfast and that quite fortunately led us to Waffle House. This place rocks. We went back 3 times in 3 days! The service is very friendly and speedy. Open kitchen so you can see them griddle your order fresh. Just like any other diner for bfast but the food is cheap, quick and easy. Loved ordering piecemeal bfast with sides and egg biscuit sammys and biscuits and gravy etc... my bfast personal bfast heaven. Normally you will not find bfast ranking this high ever from me but there is something about Waffle House that really rocked my world and I believe it will do you right as well. read more

Let me start off by saying, the ONLY reason I'm even reviewing this place is because we had the BEST waitress for multiple late night trips to this Waffle House. The food is great, but our girl Cathy knows what's up. She was so awesome and patient every time my friends and I came in being rowdy. I don't think Cathy works there anymore, but it's still a great waffle. read more

This was my very first visit to a Waffle House, ever. I have heard mixed reviews in general, but I have to say, I was very pleased. You don't go there expecting a beautiful place, but the food is so good you don' care. My only complaint would be they didn't have someone walking around with coffee to refill. Seems like the woman who opens the door would be better spent filling coffee cups then opening doors. Our service was pretty good, but the food was really, really good. Not sure if I would try a Waffle House off an expressway, but this one, in town, was really good. read more

Unbelievable! Asked for the vegan menu, and told me they have none. I expect intolerance in the South, but to see it invade even our restaurants is truly a sad day for America. Look on the menu, and all I see is preservatives, beef, and not a SINGLE locally sourced ingredient to be found. I bet they don't even know how to spell the word organic. And don't even ask for a GF menu - they just stare at you like you're from Mars. Omg. Never coming here with my partner again. read more

The place was dirty and had a roof leak. In the kitchen they had a big water spot full of water not picked up-, it was gross

The worst Waffle House in America! Dirty, water dripping from air vent, Trainer picking up food off the floor and putting on plate! Not using gloves! slow and can not get an order correct. Not the fault of Diane, the the waitress, she was good. Chief could not get the order right this morning. Toast sat so long it was cold and stale, grits lumpy. read more

This place has really gone down over the past few years. My family and I vacation in the Destin area at least once a year and have stopped at this waffle house each time, and this past trip we stopped in on our last day. The staff was a little crazy, strange what ever you want to say, but most importantly, the place was dirty. One of the servers was cleaning the benches with the broom she just used to sweep the floor. My adult children sat at a different table than us, but said there were ants on there table, and then the straw that broke the camels back and maybe turned me off for all waffle houses is their server had a cut on her finger that was covered with a band aid and when my son's meal arrived there was blood on the plate that had leaked through the band aid..... gross! The server was very apologetic, he sent his meal back and she did not charge us for that one meal, but no one else at the table could eat and the whole ticket should have been comped. Really there is no excuse for this. read more
