Didn't feel like cooking tonight (11/30/23) or dressing up to go out, so we went to Waffle House on Barrett Pkwy at I-575. Always clean and bright, everything looks brand-new. I usually get the pattymelt, always delicious. The server was adorably sweet, pretty and cheerful. I told her that our Facebook community group had a posting that the Waffle House steaks were good. She brightly confirmed, and said that yes, we have 3 very good steaks: T-bone, Delmonico, and Sirloin. I ordered the T-bone medium rare, it came with 2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, and double hash browns and I ordered onions with the hash browns (scattered.) My sweetheart ordered the Delmonico medium well, with the same sides. Both steaks were done exactly to order, and were seasoned to perfection. The T-bone was huge, melt-in-your mouth yummy. The Delmonico was wolfed down with delight and satisfaction. With a Coke and a lemonade, the total was right at $33 plus tip. Needless to say, Longhorn and Outback won't be seeing us anytime soon. It sits in a corner up on a hill near an Express Oil https://goo.gl/maps/KSQyK3LvozFLzdnY8 There is a concrete median so you can't get here unless you get in the left turn signal lane (if you're going west on Barrett) The simplest way is probably to turn on Chastain Meadows and make a left. I've been here more times than I can count in the past 25 years and have yet had a bad experience. Always fast and friendly service and the food is always nice and greasy...can't go wrong coming to this location. read more

First of all, I will say that I do like eating at Waffle House, but my most recent visit to the store at I575 and Earnest Barrett Pkwy was very disappointing. The employees at this store were so disorganized it was truly unbelievable. Tables sat stacked with dirty dishes, food was not delivered in a timely manner. One the waitress left your location, you wouldn't see her again until you flagged her down to get your bill. Several customers left without even placing an order. This store gives Waffle House a bad name. read more

I would give this location 5 stars because everyone knows that waffle house food is good but also because the servers are so patient and friendly. Its hard to get that in food business but here at waffle house the server was always smiling and asking us if everything was ok even though it was packed. There were no complains or frown on any face. Really would love to go back to same location not jus for food but for the service.:) read more

Ok so I had a to go order, came I'm (Already knowing what I want) stood in the to go line for about 5 minutes with NO help. Hoping this isn't about race, a white couple walks in and they immediately get greeted and assisted. Meanwhile I'm still waiting in the Togo line. Everyone is being greeted with smiles but me. I always come just to get Togo orders because I work really close. The cook Lavelle is always on point. He's about the best customer service orientated person there. It's a waffle house, much like any other. The food is the same as every other waffle house. The service at this location is pretty good, the orders always come out right, and if you have any special needs for your food they are always accommodating. This store got a PERFECT 100 score on their most recent health inspection, and the people who work here are PROUD of it (as they should be)! I wish I could put negative stars. This place absolutely fucking sucks. We came in happy to be at a Waffle House and the waitress said we had a "bad attitude" which we didn't and refused to give us a coffee refill or even a water refill. She barely acknowledged us when we tried to grab her attention for anything we needed. Then as we were leaving she proceeded to tell every other customer who came in that they were closing for 30 minutes and weren't doing any orders. They weren't even busy at the moment. Restaurant was unbelievably dirty. I called in advance to order and when I arrived it was not ready yet and then the cashier dropped the food on the floor and had to remake it. Mistakes happen but still very frustrating because it is a waste of ingredients. So many employees and many of them were wasting time talking and not cleaning or doing anything. I called in my order from home and it took me about 15 to 20 minutes before I actually got there. When I asked about my order, I'm assuming the lady wrote my name down wrong because nobody remembered an order under my name. Afterwards someone asked me what did I order and I told them I had the All-Star breakfast and then one of the lady's said she remembered taking the call. I sat there for a while waiting when I found out they burned my first waffle so they were remaking it. Then they brought me the receipt and I paid them and gave a tip only to find out they had to make me another waffle because they made a plain one instead of a pecan waffle. Even though they gave me both waffles, after I got to work I found out I got bacon instead of sausage, and I hate bacon, and my hashbrowns were a little burnt at the bottom. This is the Waffle House to go to! The wait staff is always very nice and I have noticed two cooks. Both have long black pony tails, but one is an average size guy who never smiles and one is a bigger guy who seems to always be in a good mood. If the average size guy with the shorter ponytail is cooking...YAY...because the food is going to turn out PERFECT! Manager needs to get on top of their cooks. I came in and there was a total of 3 other tables besides mine, 2 were already eating, so basically not really busy, yet they had like 6+ staff around talking and singing. Ordered a standard breakfast, eggs over light, hash browns scattered well, bacon well and wheat toast. Again, there's only 1 other order besides mine in the queue. The waitress brings out just my bacon as if she was doing me a favor. I told her to take it back as I like all my food at once and I figured the bacon would get cold while the rest of my food was prepared. Sure enough, the rest of the food came out like 5 minutes later and of course I got the same cold bacon, minus half the hash browns. The cook only made one so they split it between me and the other guy that was waiting for his food as well. Seriously, if you can't handle two orders when the place is empty, how the hell can anyone expect them to handle orders when it's busy. read more
