So we came to have breakfast at the one and only Waffle House. As per usual the food was decent. It was super busy today but it was Saturday morning so that's to be expected. We had to wait 15 mins for a table and they gave me grits instead of the biscuits and gravy I ordered but the food was decent. My wife had a sandwich melt with hash browns and she loved it. I like this Waffle House, it's relatively new and relatively clean compared to some locations I've visited. The staff is always friendly and service is usually fast. Waffle House is Waffle House- it's pretty much unchanged for ever. Eggs and hash browns for miles! Scrambled, covered, chunked, peppered, smothered- what ever you want and as much as you want (I do like that) I've not had any bad visits here so I can recommend. It's loud though, really loud. What is sometimes annoying is the volume of the chatter and it's usually the crew working there, not the customers. It's definitely not a place to have a quiet breakfast and a quiet conversation because you generally can't hear the person at your table over the constant banter of crew. Other than that- it's cool. Update- Revisited the other day, wow. So not only was the bathroom disgusting, the crew was louder than ever- and unprofessional. As I headed towards the bathroom a customer pulled up in a vehicle with an American flag item attached to it. I heard one of the crew members say something like "look at this fool MAGA M-Fker" followed by laughter. That really bothered me. Not for my political beliefs as much as the crew making fun of (at least a portion of) the people that are paying their pay checks, this poor guy came in and ordered a "to go" order. I wonder what he was have thought had I told him he had just been the brunt of the joke. Very disappointing, if this is the culture- I won't be back...nor would I recommend. This Waffle House twice provided me with good food before heading back home for some shuteye. Conveniently located a mere 15 minutes from Ponte Vedra Beach, this WH is open 24/7. The staff here was very friendly, and processed my orders efficiently. Both times I stopped by here, I ordered the same: steak and eggs. You have some options with the steak. Check out my photos to see which one look more delicious to you. The food here is good, and pretty straight forward. it is cooked with a right balance of ingredients. Not too salty, not too buttered, not too oily. Just right. This WH has a thing or two to teach to diners back home in LA. I just hope they open a Waffle House in California in the near future. read more

Now I was shocked to see that the once $5 all star breakfast was now almost $15, and the orange juice and lemonade was served in Simply individual bottles. After the Yelp Event, I wanted some food. I carpooled with Rick P. & he had to get back close to home. So, instead of dining in St. Augustine, we headed closer to his home-in case he had a call. I have to start out by saying this was my first experience at a Waffle House. I understand it to be the go-to post-bar hot spot, so when I found myself there at 3am, I was not surprised by the atmosphere. I must say the staff was attentive, the food came out quickly, and our group was taken care of promptly. This location has a small private parking lot. When you walk in, there are a few 4 person booths, and then a diner-style bar where people can sit. Our group was 6, so we crowded around 1 table and made it work. You can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner food at any time, and we ordered a little bit of everything. I had the burger, which was cooked well. Others went with the breakfast option. To be fair, do not come to waffle house for high end cuisine. This is a greasy spoon kind of place. Not expensive, open 24 hours a day, with a very simple menu. If you've had a fun night out and need a bite to eat while the stars are out, Waffle House is your jam. The food will fill your belly, soak up the alcohol, and make the rest of your night more peaceful. read more

This is by far my favorite wafflehouse. Crew is amazing. Always up beat. Miss Angel is fantastic and will take great care of you and mr. Robert's cooking is out of this world. I'm surprised by the Waffle House. Came here for breakfast with my family for the first time and I really enjoyed it. As a small location expect to wait a bit to get seated. I ordered a waffle with chocolate chips, a side of hash browns and bacon. The food felt like a good home cooked meal. The bacon was perfectly crispy the way I like it, but the hash browns could have been a bit more toasty. Haven't eaten at a Waffle House in a while so decided to try this one. The food exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't decide on hash browns or grits, so got both. Glad I got both, because they were great! Service was great. We had three employees beside our server ask us if everything was alright and wanted to see if we needed anything else, one was the cook. Even though this restaurant was nearly completely full I was not left waiting an unbearably long time. The waitress assigned to me checked on me to make sure I was alright and she did not belittle me for ordering water to drink. I took one star off because the table I was at had somebody's coffee still on it. I like that food is freshly prepared right in front of us. The biscuits in the biscuits and gravy dish I ordered were soft, crispy, buttery perfection with delicious beefy, milky gravy. Oh yeah! Get into these lips. I got a grits bowl, and the grits were at perfect consistency. They were moist, buttery, cheesy, and relieving to break down in my mouth. The eggs were cooked thoroughly but soft and smooth. I am a lover for all things Waffles, whatever that means. I basically love waffles. This place definitely cures my hankering for Waffles. It's pretty much the only thing I get on their entire menu besides maybe a side of bacon or sausage. Most locations are pretty much all built the same. This site doesn't veer from that. They have a nice little digital jukebox/music player in the corner. With most Waffle House locations, the seating isn't ample but it gets the job done. They are pretty quick at getting the food out. Which is pretty impressive, b/c me being a chef, I like to watch them work their breakfast magic. I must say they do a great job!! Worst location ever came here at 1am and they just yelled from they car saying I can't go inside lol. Then called me a dumb ass.

I chose 2 star because it wasn't possible to give them a lower rating. I attempted to call in an order but there was so much noise in the background the associate couldn't hear me. I was literally SCREAMING into my phone trying to place an order but she still could t hear me. It still doesn't s unclear to me why she didn't go to a different area to accept the order. It was my first time at Waffle House, and there was a short wait Saturday morning. We were seated pretty promptly and had our food ready within 15 minutes. I ordered an All-star Special, which came with waffles, sausage, hash browns, and eggs for about $8, which was ok. I wished they crisped the browns a little more. The service was nice and friendly, and the people were attentive. The environment was very relaxing and I didn't feel rushed to leave. read more

They are open during Irma (now only a tropical storm in our area). That's a plus in my book! But unfortunately the service was dirt poor. I've been to plenty of waffle houses early in the morning that have had full houses and the service still ran smoothly. But today this location did not live up to the standard. Several tables were left uncleaned. People in the to go line were the only ones getting serviced. They only had waffles, egg, ham, and sausage to serve. I'm not sure if they had a food shortage or they just didn't feel like cooking those items. We ordered and sat for about 45 minutes waiting on two waffles that never came. So we left. Also note, the to go line was to the door when we got there. And when we left it was empty. Smh. They are getting a one star just from this visit. It's great to see this place doing well. It was packed this morning with a mix of the early church service crowd and those who slept in and got up with waffles on the brain. As expected, the service was good and the turn around was quick. I have loved Waffle House since we first discovered a friend worked there when I lived in Pennsylvania. We would get the hook up with the food, but it was always so delectable. Anyway, when I saw this Waffle House I was so excited. I was so glad I could get my breakfast fix anytime that wasn't only IHOP or Denny's. As with any Waffle House, the prices are reasonable and the food is usually quick and delicious. The experience at this one was no different. Quick and friendly service. The food was hot and cooked to perfection. I always order the fiesta omelet because it has the bright amount of spice, meats and cheese. I always get my hash browns extra crunchy and covered and smothered (cheese and onions added for an extra fee). They were so good. My son loves the chocolate chip waffles and the grits. He added cheese to his grits and he said they were pretty good. You have to really know how to cook grits, too, They aren't the easiest to prepare. All in all, my experience at this location was great and I do go back from time to time when I need a quick breakfast fix. read more

This is our favorite breakfast place. There's a Waffle House closer to me (Merrill Road) and we drive right past it to come here. Amazing staff makes all the difference!!! The busy location (295/Atlantic) means these folks are damn good at what they do. read more

Showed up to get breakfast, employees were outside in a car. I walked in and when they came inside they informed me it was take out only. You could tell they had just smoked weed and were high. I could smell it on them and when I walked back to my car. What a disgusting display. I will never eat there again. I just hope management follows up with whomever works there at 5am. read more

If you want music blaring at 5 A.M. like a rock concert. This place is for you. Couldn't hear myself think.

We came here tonight with a long line waited for almost an hoir and as soon as we sat we found out that they only serve precooked sausage or ham combo that looked like stale and dry. I wish they would have told everyone who was coming in the door a sight or something that that is all they serve so we dont have to waste our time for the trash they were gonna serve us. I see them cooking frozen ham straight to the grille. So disappointed and pissed at the same time. Would advice everyone to be cautious. read more

So, lets talk about why you should never eat at this bottom class restaurant! Waffle House in general is my favorite place to eat but this particular location is so below the quality standards of Waffle House and my own. Theere are a couple cooks there that just drag this place to hell and a the district Brian is the anchor weighing it down. It's not high falutin' or even healthy but it's really good as a Waffle House and hash brown heaven. The waffles were fine but their spud offerings are my favorite. Let me start by saying the food is good! I'm go to work early so if I want a decent breakfast that's not fast food, Waffle House is really my only choice. Their waffles and grits are very good! I just wish this one on Atlantic would answer their phone for to go orders! I try every morning and no one ever answers the phone. The place is empty at this hour and there is always 3 or 4 employees working (or lack of). I am forced to wait for my order. I figured maybe the phones were turned off but one morning I called the number while I was standing there and all 3 workers just listened to the phone ring and ring but didn't answer. This particular Waffle House is right next-door to a Dennys which isn't as good as Waffle House but when I called them, while waiting at Waffle House, they picked up on the second ring! My last trip back home I literally ate at this waffle house everyday of my trip! The location is super convenient being on Atlantic. The restaurant itself is clean and organized. My niece said the restrooms smelled good so thats always a positive. The food is fresh and prepared relatively fast and the service I received each visit was superb!
