Barbie and I stopped in for a late night dinner. The food was good as always. One of my favorite things about Waffle House is they're pretty much the same regardless of the location. The server was friendly and attentive to our needs to go with our dinner. I love the ambiance of Waffle House because of the jukebox. I played some songs so that Barbie and I could dance a little while we were waiting for our food. There was another couple in the place who got up and danced too. It was great. I haven't been to a Waffle House in many years. My daughter was a bit hungover, and I was feeling kind of icky too, from an event the evening before and we were starving. She suggested greasy food for a cure. Well, it worked, like it did back in my younger days. Was this place sparkling clean? Nope. It was actually kind of dirty. But the server was great and super friendly! So was the other server who cashed out our check. There were only two servers and they were working hard to keep up with the customers, while clearing tables. The food was served quickly, it was hot and fresh and it tasted pretty good. We went to Ohio for Thanksgiving 2024 and ate at 2 Waffle Houses while there. On Black Friday we ate in Morrow, Ohio. I ordered a Waffle Sandwich. The little blonde server told me that she had never heard of a waffle sandwich and there was no way Waffle House would put cheese in the waffle Iron. I must be thinking of another restaurant. I actually worked in a Waffle house in the 1990's for a few years and I have loved and ordered them through the years. But I decided not to share that information with her since she was so sure of herself. Nope, she's not stealing my sparkly today. On December 2nd, on our way back to Tennessee, Codi at the Waffle House in Florence, Ky, was actually excited when I ordered a Waffle Sandwich. Hello again. So the last time I was here it did not go very well. I got off work super late, well past the witching hour, and decided a second chance might be an order. Its America and if this land is not made of second chance. .. The sign says open 24 hour, good start. Lady at the grill and the other is moping. Promising. I walk in and I am greated with the following words - "we are only doing to go ". So I did as they said, I left. No food. Just left. Let me explain. To me, one of the biggest factors to going to a place like this is the fact the food is eaten there. The ambiance if you will. It's like going to Disney and being told "you can only buy the souvenirs and go, can't stay in the park ". Little out there but you get the point. The rating I gave the other day remains the same as I was denied at the door to give a second chance. I suppose the moping was a form of keeping busy because no one can eat there so no foot traffic- no dirty floors. Maybe they do let limited number sit from 9-5 and after that they decide to make their life easier by making things to go. Covid is reasonable enough...if when I was there wasn't as empty as my bank account. Oh well. Waffle House is a late night joint you go to after a concert, late shift or feed a buzz. Went in and ordered my food to go. Place was clean, and they were pretty fast with my order considering it being so busy. My waffle was a little over cooked, but it was still good. Grits and the hash browns were the best out everything I ordered. The scrambled eggs were horrible. They were the worst Waffle House scrambled eggs I have had. TERRIBLE SERVICE! Bugs flying around all over, the place is disgusting. THE WAITERS ARE RUDE. My waiter in particular Hailey was extremely rude and she did not speak to us the entire time, even when asking questions. The food was burnt and undone. I seen the cook just wipe a pan and not clean it and it use it for another food. only one of our orders were made correctly. They leave the tables dirty so when u sit down all they do is clear the dishes and not wipe it off. I miss Wa-Ho. Living in Boston, I have my choice of hundreds of breakfast places that are delicious, but you just cannot beat the value of the Waffle House. I was thrilled to be in the Midwest for a wedding. I ordered grits, eggs, toast, bacon, and a waffle. It was barely $7. Our waitress was delightful. I ate way too much, but it was so worth it. When I go visit the parents in Northern KY, first stop is for a cheese coney (no hot dog)... next morning, we MUST go to Waffle House. now i've been to many Waffle House locations across several states, but this is by far the best. no matter what time i come the food is always fresh, perfectly prepared with no mistakes. If you happen to be a late-night frequenter like myself, you'll often find Mindy (the cook) and Alexis (counter staff) doing as much as they can to keep customers satisfied whether it's carryout only or dine-in, keeping interesting conversation and great food 2 solid stakes in their inventory. out of any Waffle House i've been to, the combination of staff, service, and cleanliness cannot be matched. i reccomend to anyone! read more

The staff has a really lousy attitude about their short-staffing constantly complaining to patrons. Seven workers in the house today, four servers and the place is a wreck... when we walked in not one of six or seven tables open was bussed and when I asked where we should sit nobody seemed to care about the mess. Floors were nasty. They said "sit down where you'd like and we'll clear it." The waitress told us " we have to buss our own tables here and do everything else." I thought that had been the norm at Waffle House. I can't recommend such a place. read more

I see why people get mixed up with the name Waffle House to being The Awful House. Waffles are one of my favorite breakfast meals, especially with extra butter an maple syrup. So I went to eat there on U.S. 42 for breakfast. Well of course I ordered the Waffles. When it came out, it did not look like it was fully cooked. It looked like it stilled had uncooked batter. I took a bite of it and it tasted like crap. I did not say anything, because I was pissed off with this guy sitting next to me with a cigarette smoking in my face. I wish the restaurant was Non Smoking. I told the guy to get the cigarette out of my face, so I just got up paid my bill and did not finish my awful waffle. Would NOT recommend this place. read more

They didnt meet my exceedingly low standards even for a wafflehouse. I Work third shift and this is the only place around thats open. After trying to place an order over the weekend and having the rude staff answer, bark that they dont do carryout on weekend then hang up, we tried again tonight. The food was horrible, they charged different prices than whats on the menu, it was all overcooked and was close to not being edible. They not only didnt have their A game, they didnt have there C- game tonight. This is not the first garbage meal Ive had there but my coworkers and I have decided it will be our last.
