Hash browns with cheese eggs and ham sandwich
Marian G.

This is a small neighborhood restaurant is true to its name. The waffles are light and fluffy and tasty. I had the delicious ham cheese eggs sandwiches. Ms. Rhonda was our server and she was fast. That good ole southern hospitality.

To be honest I don't EVER review fast food restaurants because it's more of the same. They usually suck in every location. This Waffle House though is the exception. Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOVE Waffle House but some locations are just nasty. This one is just the exception. It's always very clean and there's two ladies that doesn't matter what time it is they always have a smile on their faces. The food here is always fresh and well presented & the waffles are ALWAYS crispy. Definitely my favorite Waffle House.

Friendly staff. Fast service. We both ordered the All Star Special breakfast with a waffle; one blueberry, one pecan. Food was good, except over easy eggs were too runny, egg whites not cooked even slightly. We sat by a window seat on the left. Table and placemat was sticky. Told waitress, she didn't do a thing about it. Was attentive, but I had to clean my own table and just didn't use their menu placemat.

I don't ever eat at Waffle House, but when I do, I don't expect a pleasant experience. This Waffle House was clean and kept in very good order. The night crew were very polite and the cook was super proud of his creation, which as exactly what I needed this morning. Thanks y'all!

Best waffle house ever so clean and bright and friendly. Special thanks to manage your Charles and waitress Shelli they treated me and muffin with so much respect and kindness plus gave us overwhelming southern hospitality I wish we could hug them I recommend for everyone to go to this location. They will customize your order and help find something on their menu to fit your dietary restriction even if you're vegan you can eat at this waffle house it's safe .. I'm so happy to a found this location thank you thank you thank you. FYI when OJ machine is superclean I drink OJ

This is an example of the waffles being made during late night shifts!! Check your food before you leave!

It brightened our day and made the quaint environment even more wonderful. The cream pasta was so good, wish I took better pictures of the actual pasta as was the samjang lettuce wraps and ttkeogalbi open face sandwich. Every drink was delicious! We got drinks with our meal and then more after to chat over. Recommend anything with jasmine tea it is so good, it's made in house! Really really loved the kumquat jasmine tea.

Well, hate to be frank, but our Souffle Pancake was just very disappointing. While the pancake was nice and fluffy, the toppings and presentation wasn't even close to being as good as they used to be. I felt this was new management, with a whole, new style of doing desserts maybe? In any case, we did think the pancake tasted good...but it was just lacking in the creamy topping, as only the top layer had this creamy base. The lower 2 pancakes had no cream on it...and tasted quite bland. Even the strawberry sauce was minimal...so minimal, I went up to ask for more. Also, the decorative toppings, including the strawberry, were just BLAHHH. If you come here expecting the Strawberry Souffle Pancake of the past, you'll be disappointed. So nope...just not pretty enough for Instagramming. Made me wonder if the rest of the desserts have gone down as well?? For drinks, my husband had Cappuccino, and I had this Oohlong Tea. Not pictured, but the presentation was just passable...and the taste was just OK. If I recall, their drinks used to be presented beautifully as well as their desserts...but from the look of things, that may no longer be true. Guess I may give this place at least another try. Who knows? Maybe it was just an off night?? Hopefully I can upgrade the review on my next v visit...should the dessert and the drink look and taste better. Fingers crossed??

I do not feel as though downtown Duluth truly captures the amazing food scene of the city, but again, an old friend did like it enough to tell me about it. Inside was pretty spacious. High ceilings and bright. You have to go up front and order, and they'll give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. Pretty standard so far. It's not too loud, even with the music playing in the background, so not bad for hanging out with friends after the food is done, though we didn't. We were all pretty disappointed with our food. It wasn't bad, thankfully, it was just meh. We could've literally drove 5 minutes away for better, so we left as soon as we finished. The good thing is you get to choose what protein you want with your dish, which is nice. However, the chicken katsu here is thin. Also, the K-Fried chicken doesn't really mesh with the pasta. It's like a skewer on the side of your main dish. You can eat them separately and be happy enough. I was ok with the bulgogi, but I would've expected better from a Korean establishment. I haven't tried every single protein option, but I won't lie, tofu in pasta isn't the most appealing to me. For the main dishes, it was pretty bland, especially the omurice. You need the egg and the protein for flavor. The Schezwan pasta wasn't even spicy. At least the carbonara was creamy as it should be.

I ordered one egg and cheese biscuit with a Smashbrown at 11:55 a.m. and didn't receive it until 12:35 p.m.--a 40-minute wait for a simple to-go order. Unfortunately, the food wasn't worth the wait. The Smashbrown tasted like a half-warmed microwave hash brown, and the sandwich was not good at all. The young lady at the register was also very unengaging and seemed uninterested in assisting customers. The restaurant was packed, and I was told it's like that every day. If you have plenty of time to wait, you may enjoy it, but if you're looking for a quick breakfast, I'd recommend going elsewhere. I used to highly recommend this place, but after today's experience, I won't be back. Hopefully, things improve. Maple Street is currently transitioning to Biscuit Belly, following the July 2026 acquisition/rebranding. The Duluth location is expected to transition over the next 18-24 months, so it appears the conversion is already underway.

The Dutch Baby was soggy, and not really tasting of anything except undercooked batter. The strawberry pancakes were so drenched in disgustingly sweet syrup and topped with equally sweet whipped cream that eating just a few bites sends one into a diabetic coma. The service was mediocre. Our waitress was so disinterested in talking to us or interacting with us that her service was perfunctory at best. The breakfast was underwhelming, the service below average, and the food was expensive. Way too expensive for the quality of the food offered. They charge $5 for their croissant, which was where it falls short. If it were the best croissant I ever had, perhaps. No substitutions. Always hated this rule for every restaurant, but I get it if you have a special and hundreds of customers. We were one of 3 parties on a weekday brunch, super slow. We also ordered the traditional breakfast and a kids breakfast. But instead of bacon, we wanted a croissant for the kids meal. They are both $5 in the menu when ordered separately. First the server said they didnt know (weird) then said they would check and left for 5 minutes. The answer was no. So I paid an extra $5 and added a croissant. I ate the bacon, which improved my salmon Benedict. But neither the croissant nor bacon felt like $5. Kids meal is now the cost of a regular. So I recommend if you dont want any substitutions, try this place. I wont be coming back. It really irks me that you cant just put bread instead of bacon on a kids meal. You aren't a robot, and you are not busy. You are also not getting me as a patron anymore. P.S. the Croissant alone was not worth $5. I rate it a 3 out of 5 on its own.
