Stopped at this Waffle House while on a roadtrip from Florida to Texas, and the food and service were so good! We were getting gas next door and noticed the empty parking lot. We agreed it would be quick to eat at since it looked empty, and when we parked we realized we were the literal only customers. We both ordered the all star special and it was ready in minutes. Our service was great and our food was piping hot and fresh. I always get the blueberry nougat waffle. I was glad my waitress let me substitute grits for the meat, and they were so good. I'm sure they were loaded with butter. Our portion of hashbrowns was also double what it normally is. Probably the best waffle house food we've ever had! What can I say, Waffle House is Waffle House. It's been my experience that they're not all the same, and it's always like opening that wild card birthday present from the eccentric aunt. You just don't know what's inside that box. Now, after a rather interesting day, my wife and I visited this particular location, because this is what we were both able to settle on. And on this particular day, the gift from the eccentric aunt was quite pleasant. The location was clean and brightly lit, and didn't have that greasy smell in the air, which is a plus. The staff was friendly, courteous, and prepared our order with great speed. (One thing I love Waffle House for) I order the All-Star Special every time I go, no matter which location, as I am a creature of habit. The plain waffle was perfectly golden brown, the bacon was crisp and cooked to perfection, and the hash browns were browned to the right level of crispness, with my add-ins spread evenly throughout. But where I tend to get judgey is with my eggs, which I order over medium, because I don't want any runny whites, but still want a nice, warm runny yolk. And this is the only thing they didn't get quite right, as I they were a little undercooked. But everything else was above the standard quality, so I give them a pass. (I cannot say this for every location I've been to) This was a great experience, and I would definitely go here again! read more

Needed this place after a long 3 day drive across the country! My family and I just moved to Crestview from Colorado and do not yet have our belongings. I checked the reviews for breakfast spots around town and wasn't too impressed, so decided to try Ol' Reliable Waffle House. Yes yes yes! Service was fantastic, waitress was friendly and attentive, and the food was good! The plates came out super fast, but there also wasn't more than a handful of patrons in there at the time. My only complaint would be that my bacon was a little too greasy and not as crispy as I'd prefer; I'll be more specific in the way I like my bacon when ordering next time. Overall, great experience. I have a sweet spot for Waffle House and until today this was my favorite breakfast place. My coffee had snot in it. So gross on a normal day but during a pandemic??? I now have to pay to go to the doctor to be tested and no amount of forced puking and teeth brushing made me feel better. Do not go here. I know some people feel COVID is nothing, but to a woman with a weakened immune system who almost never goes out this was the scariest breakfast I ever had. I usually hit the other Waffle House in town and have always had a great experience (minus the freezing cold temps) but I ended up at this one today. Only 1 of the 4 servers seems to know what she's doing, Erika, she's been here for at least 15 years :). The problem is I got a new girl...... still in training and its bad. We were noticed at the bar after 8 minutes. A table left that had been waiting and never served.... I'm guessing that they were unprepared for how busy they would be this close to the 4th of July on Wednesday...... The cook seems to know his stuff but today the entire staff seems to be in a bad mood. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt because I have been to this location before and had good service. The food was good, my spouse's order was incorrect but we did have the new girl so I am guessing she called it out incorrectly. Oh well..... I will review once I come back and try it again. Me and my family stopped by this location, we have been here before and it has been great before but last night was different, there was a guy not in uniform storming around behind the counter I'm to assume that he was a manager if you want to call it that, it looked like they were in the middle of a shift change, no big deal right, until he started yelling at one of the cooks on the grill, he told him I'm taking to you boy and when the cook kept doing his job the manager got more aggressive as to show his dominance, he originally told him go ahead say something in German again I'll send your ass home.thus went on for about 20 minutes even as the manager was in the office he was yelling as to try and get the cook to react, In my opinion this manager was very unprofessional . I have this place 2 star, due to the waiter, was nice but we had to ask for refills and he never checked on us. Also we had to ask for ketchup and syrup. We came to Waffle House for our first time, while out of town. The bacon was so crispy it was partly burnt and they buttered my toast, which I prefer not to be. What's not to love about the Waffle House? When I'm craving breakfast, especially for dinner, I usually call in an order here. The only thing that I just can't understand, and have a slight problem with, is why they just refuse to scramble eggs in the traditional way. You know, so they're light and fluffy. They scramble the eggs in a bowl, then dump the contents into a little skillet where it sits until it basically cooks up (hardens). Then the cook will take a fork and chop the cooked egg up, put it on a plate, and call it scrambled eggs. Um, no, that's not how it's done. There is more to scrambling eggs than just what you do in the bowl prior to cooking them. But anyway, outside of that, everything's been great here. read more

My husband and I have been to this location twice now. The first time we had Jackie and she was incredibly sweet and attentive. The cook had forgotten to put cheese on my husbands hashbrowns and she was so sweet and gave him a bowl of chili. She also had to deal with a very rude customer sitting adjacent to us which she handled very professional and with patience. She deserves 5 stars! Food was good too. However, my husband and I went in for breakfast today and had a young girl named Kyla. She was very sweet and attentive, never let our cups go empty. The reason I gave it 1 star was because of the lady named christen or maybe charity something along that (she had it covered up so I could only see the CH). She treated this poor girl like straight dirt, I would even call it bullying. Kyla would be wiping down things and the big lady would scold her for being useless and for never doing anything correctly and my husband and I looked up and I made eye contact with her and she put her head down. The bullying behavior continued the entire breakfast and Kyla just kept taking it. It was heartbreaking. I don't care if this girl has been there a day or a year she is a human being and doesn't deserve that type of abuse. Kyla if you ever read this, know that a lot of us had first jobs with horrible people like that, know that you are better and deserve better than that. Took 5 min after we ordered to get our sweet tea which was a lot on the strong side.A waitress took 3 buckets of water and poured them on the floor while the others were cooking/walking around.The water went down the drains but the cleaning solution she used after that was pungent while we were eating.Also,this is the one on hwy 90.The food was good though.My waffle was forgotten and husbands chili left off of his hashbrowns,but both were corrected.I will remember next time to say lightly on the hashbrowns since I do not like crispy. read more
