I came here on a Wednesday morning right before lunch. The place was not busy and I got service immediately. I knew I wanted the All-Star breakfast. Waitress was nice enough to bring me lemon slices for my water. I ordered the all star breakfast with chili on hashbrowns. The sausage was burnt but they brought me a bowl for the chili. This was more food than I could eat. The hashbrowns barely fit on the plate. Eggs were ok. Cinnamon raisin bread was great. I got chocolate chips on my waffle and it was well worth it. read more

My dad got a del monico steak (I didn't even know Waffle House had steak!), and it was SO tender, and the hint of bacon from the griddle it was cooked on made it even better. London was the SWEETEST server and so friendly, and Miss Nicky seems like she really takes care of her staff. When we complimented the food, London brought the lady who cooked it so we could thank her personally. I thought that was a great display of teamwork and sharing the credit. Came here on Sunday morning for breakfast at about 8:45 am. Lots of parking spaces in the free lot that is only for this stand-alone Waffle House. Walked in, were greeted immediately by one of the employees who gestured and told us to sit wherever we wanted. We chose a booth next to the wall and the TouchTunes jukebox. Within 30 seconds of sitting down, our server came to the table. Without even looking at a menu, we already knew what we wanted, so we ordered: R ordered a hash brown bowl with hash browns, over easy eggs, cheese, sausage, onions and jalapeños; I ordered a hash brown bowl with hash browns, scrambled eggs, cheese, sausage, and an extra sausage. There were lots of employees at this location - actually the number of employees here were probably the most I've ever seen at a Waffle House. Unfortunately, though, for them, there weren't enough customers to keep all of the employees busy, so they had some fun joking with each other, which was entertaining. At least they acted like they were working by clearing and wiping tables. R and I waited less than 5 minutes for our food to be served. Everything was piping hot. The food tasted good, but I thought there was more-than-usual amounts of oil/grease, and it started turning my stomach near the end of my meal. The hash browns had a lot of brown crunchy edges. Our server came back to our table only once after she brought our food to find out how everything was going, and then it was to drop off the check. No glass refills. I went to the register to pay. One of the employees just ignored me, standing just on the other side of the counter. She could've acknowledged me by telling me, "Hello, I need to get this paperwork finished and then I'll be able to help you." Or one of the other employees just standing around could've taken my payment. I waited a couple of minutes while being ignored until she walked away, put her paperwork down, then came back. Came past 11pm after coming back from a much-delayed flight. There were only 2 workers there preparing food for some other to-go customers in front of us. Despite the seemingly long wait, our order was quickly taken and our food came out soonafter. We were standing around as we thought it was take-out only, but were then asked if we wanted to sit in, which we did; we immediately sat at the counters and watched the worker cook our orders. I was craving something sweet so I decided to get a waffle with chocolate and pecans. It was the best waffle dish I've had in a long time, and the low price + late hours made it even better. I really have a sweet tooth, so I spread some butter and poured over syrup as well, which really added to the taste. Hard to get any better with just a little ovr $5. read more

Ok so as a California native, and after a drunk night at the bar, and as a person gobbling down leftovers before she gets on her 8am flight...WAFFLE HOUSE IS GOOD! Let's not get it twisted. It's a diner, but the food hits the spot and gets the job done. I talked and laughed with a server, had a serious conversation with a server, and got ignored by another server. That just adds to the experience. You're not coming to the Waffle House for a 5 star dining experience! My waffle was hot, and fresh served with a perfect amount of butter. The hashbrowns were smothered with a delicious square of American cheese and onions...the eggs were eggs. Waffle House did me just right and I crave it every weekend. I wish they were here, or I wish I was there! Either way...I'll be back, hopefully soon! read more

I can see why this place has gotten some of the horrible reviews. I have been twice more since my first visit and have gotten less and less impressed each time. I've called in orders and still had to wait over ten minutes after I arrived to finally get my food and go out the door. One person has shown up once for work while I was waiting for food and had two small children with her (ages 2 & 2.5 IMO) and those kids came directly in the resturant and began snatching menus off table, climbin up on the bar stools (and makin me think they were going to fall and bust their heads open). It seems that the food could be better, but I think its a presentation thing for me, and the presentation thing here is awful. In addition, it seems as if the staff spends too much time chit chatting with the regulars and each others to really get anything done. One of the worst Waffle Houses in the metro area. read more

Once in a while, Waffle House just works. It took me a few years to even try it. The foggy windows didn't seem too inviting. We walked in and we were the only ones there. It was nice and quiet and they were ready to take our order. I ordered a chicken dinner with hashbrowns and scrambled eggs with cheese. I can honestly say this was the BEST chicken I have ever had from any Waffle House. It was grilled to perfection! No greasy oil or buttery coating and wonderfully tender. My eggs were nice and cheesy and the hashbrowns were cooked to a light, gentle crisp. No complaints about my food whatsoever. We chose to eat inside so we could enjoy the food while it was warm. It was a bit chilly in there. When I went to use the restroom, there was one for men and there was one for men,women, and handicap. It would have been much better to separate them making one for men and one for women. That was the only thing I would change. read more

Pregnant waitress with the nasty attitude for no apparent reason ignores us as we walk in and sit in her section. Another very nice waitress with the dread locs comes and offers us coffee while we wait on our server. Mean girl takes 15 to even get over to us. We order An allstar special and told her "no meat" and she must have thought that was Spanish for no waffle. WAHO! See in California we don't have Waffle House. Not sure why that is since they exist in Arizona. In a way it's a travesty to not have such cheap eats with entertaining employees. 3am is a good time to go. Everyone is drunk in there. The cook is drunk. The waitress is drunk. The cook and the waitress yell at each other swearing up a storm. We're not talking basic yelling, but full on southern hootin and hollerin to the point you think there's going to be a beat down and someone is going to get beat! Mind you all of this is happening while you're pretty drunk yourself coming back from a night out in Buckhead which is equally entertaining in itself. How's it go? Smothered, covered, diced chopped, something and something. Hash browns with all of this stuff on top including chili. Then you add a packet of ranch dressing and mix it all up. It looks like vomit but it is sweet heaven going down to flush out that night of drinking. It's a sure fire way to properly cleanse your colon the next day. Texas toast sandwiches are greasy as they get and again - damn good going down and they mop up the juice inside you leaving you feeling fine and dandy the next day. The porcelain gods will be quite angered as you violently violate their realm (as will your house mates) but damn is that sweet relief. Great place for cheap eats. Good food. People watching. The line manager, Jennifer, is most unprofessional. I observed her yelling at cooks and waitress in front of the entire restaurant. A consistent scowl on her face and she seemed easily agitated. As we all know, the entire State of Georgia is Waffle House country. There is one on almost every corner. After years of a deprived adulthood I made my triumphant return beacuse I just had to and I could not leave Metro Atlanta without doing so. I went to this location since it was closest to where I was staying for the time being. Conveniently located off North Druid Hills Rd NE and Buford Hwy NE. The iconic Waffle House sign is hard to miss. Plenty of parking available. Unlike IHOP, Waffle House lets you sit wherever you like and there was little or no wait. I ordered the original waffle with sausage and their famous circular hashbrown. The Waffle was delicious. But it was the hasbrown that stole the show. The hashbrown was nothing like no other but available in 3 different sizes and can be topped with gravy or meat or other ingredients of choice on the menu. Yes the do have milk for those who want a traditional breakfast. Servers were attentive and did their job. Some people compained that they talk too much but I can tell they are very close and have a good camaraderie. Waffle house truly makes you feel like you are at home. read more

It took 45 mins just to get our drinks on the table after we had received our food. Speaking of the food, they forgot 2 orders, and the eggs and bacon were severely undercooked. Undercooked eggs and bacon are dangerous to eat. They contain parasites & salmonella when not prepared properly.
