Came here on Sunday morning for breakfast at about 8:45 am. Lots of parking spaces in the free lot that is only for this stand-alone Waffle House. Walked in, were greeted immediately by one of the employees who gestured and told us to sit wherever we wanted. We chose a booth next to the wall and the TouchTunes jukebox. Within 30 seconds of sitting down, our server came to the table. Without even looking at a menu, we already knew what we wanted, so we ordered: R ordered a hash brown bowl with hash browns, over easy eggs, cheese, sausage, onions and jalapeños; I ordered a hash brown bowl with hash browns, scrambled eggs, cheese, sausage, and an extra sausage. There were lots of employees at this location - actually the number of employees here were probably the most I've ever seen at a Waffle House. Unfortunately, though, for them, there weren't enough customers to keep all of the employees busy, so they had some fun joking with each other, which was entertaining. At least they acted like they were working by clearing and wiping tables. R and I waited less than 5 minutes for our food to be served. Everything was piping hot. The food tasted good, but I thought there was more-than-usual amounts of oil/grease, and it started turning my stomach near the end of my meal. The hash browns had a lot of brown crunchy edges. Our server came back to our table only once after she brought our food to find out how everything was going, and then it was to drop off the check. No glass refills. I went to the register to pay. One of the employees just ignored me, standing just on the other side of the counter. She could've acknowledged me by telling me, "Hello, I need to get this paperwork finished and then I'll be able to help you." Or one of the other employees just standing around could've taken my payment. I waited a couple of minutes while being ignored until she walked away, put her paperwork down, then came back. I never got an acknowledgement from her, just a, "That'll be ...$". And like that, we just walked away.

After smearing some butter and syrup, the chocolate melts away and you get gooey waffle goodness :)

Came past 11pm after coming back from a much-delayed flight. There were only 2 workers there preparing food for some other to-go customers in front of us. Despite the seemingly long wait, our order was quickly taken and our food came out soonafter. We were standing around as we thought it was take-out only, but were then asked if we wanted to sit in, which we did; we immediately sat at the counters and watched the worker cook our orders. I was craving something sweet so I decided to get a waffle with chocolate and pecans. It was the best waffle dish I've had in a long time, and the low price + late hours made it even better. I really have a sweet tooth, so I spread some butter and poured over syrup as well, which really added to the taste. Hard to get any better with just a little ovr $5.

Stands up to the classic that it is. Smothered and covered hashbrowns never taste as good as hot off the Waffle House griddle. The hidden gem: cheesy scrambled eggs. Ah-mazing. Comfort food in the city. Enjoy.

This may be my favorite location yet. My order was taken promptly and accurately. The food was cooked to perfection! I will go out of my way to frequent this restaurant!

Four stars for a Waffle House...Every time I come here it is clean, the staff are friendly, and the food is the perfect guilty weekend pleasure. This weekend was even better than usual bc it was cold! I always have a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with smothered, covered, diced, capped, peppered hash browns. Delicious!! We sat at the bar today and it was entertaining to watch everyone prepare the food...quick, hot, clean. All you would want in a Waffle House! Easy parking lot and you can access north and south Buford Hwy. Bonus...Bathrooms are clean and have a mirror that makes you look skinnier...Always a bonus when eating at a Waffle House!

This location is always quick, friendly and ice cold. Orders are always correct and food cooked right.

Shut up. It's a WAFFLE HOUSE...which means it's about 100 times more delicious, more buttered and more dirty than your mom's kitchen would ever be. And NONE of that is a bad thing. Suffice to say that the buttermilk biscuit I ordered was big enough for a "light" breakfast and crispy, golden butter-fried enough for a heart attack. Add some packeted grape jelly and, my friends, you have yourself one helluva meal. Salty, sweet, savory, moist, crumbly...everything a biscuit could be...and more.

They're about to hit 70 years this May, and it makes sense the second you walk in. The inside is about as classic diner as it gets. Comfortable booths, old-school feel, and a front counter with snacks, shirts, and little items for sale that just add to the charm. The staff is what really takes it over the top. Nikki has been my server multiple times, and she's amazing. She's usually singing or whistling along to whatever music is playing, and it honestly puts you in a good mood without you even realizing it. Service like that is rare. Food-wise, I've tried several things now, and everything has been great, but here are my top standouts: The catfish is one of my favorites. It comes in strips, fried perfectly, and packed with flavor. Chicken and waffles are excellent. The waffle is crispy on the outside and soft inside instead of fluffy, and it works really well. The chicken itself is seriously flavorful -- not just crispy, but seasoned really well all the way through. But the biggest surprise for me: The country ham with red-eye gravy. I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be the best ham I've ever had. It's thinly sliced, so you don't have to deal with a thick, chewy cut, and it's full of flavor. The red-eye gravy that the ham is marinated in (which I was told is a family recipe) takes it to another level. They also give you extra on the side to dip. If you mix that ham with over-easy eggs and hash browns, then grab a bite with a biscuit... that's one of the best breakfast bites I've had in a long time. And to top it all off, it just pairs perfectly with a nice, cold Diet Coke. Something about that combo just works. And to be clear, it's not just one or two good items -- everything I've had here has been great. I've also tried the omelet, the chicken biscuit with egg and cheese, and the country fried steak, and they've all been consistently delicious. They have a large breakfast menu, and I still haven't even gotten into lunch yet. Only thing to keep in mind is parking. There is a lot on the side, but it fills up quickly since other businesses share the area. If you come at a busy time, it might take a minute to find a spot. Overall, this is one of those places you keep coming back to. Spots like this are part of the community and deserve the support. Wishing them another 100 years.

The Silver Skillet is exactly that. No, they don't serve cappuccinos with breakfast. Yes, the fried pork chop will have bones on it. In other words, stop complaining. Silver Skillet is exactly the opposite of modern brunch and breakfast. Having opened in 1956 and having served as a backdrop for countless films and tv shows, it preserves the most classic diner experience that remains in Atlanta. Not only does it feel like stepping into a movie set, but the experience of being around the people who worked here their whole life and the most classic execution of every detail in preparation is what makes Silver Skillet so special. Let's make sure to love it for what it is and preserve it. If it is not someone's cup of tea, nobody is dragging them back here to eat deep fried pork chops every day.
