I am Cookout's biggest fan! Ever since moving away from the south, any time I'm around I will make finding a Cookout a priority for the trip. I've introduced so many people to it and every single one has also become obsessed. I wouldn't say Cookout is the highest quality food, but it's magical! Where else can you get a quesadilla with a corndog on the side as well as hush puppies for $5?! Speaking of the quesadilla, I'm so glad I discovered it. It's a bbq chicken quesadilla with a very very slight kick; it's delicious, and you get 2 when you make it your entree. Their milkshakes are the best in the entire world. They have something like 40 flavors and you can mix as many as you want. I get caramel fudge, Reese's, and heath and it's one of the greatest things I've ever tasted and definitely worth the slight drink charge. Cookout is by far the best value in terms of quantity of food for your money, and I've never gotten anything there that I didn't love. I'm a cookout fan for life. read more

I don't know what happened to the food! Like, the taste is not the same at this location. When I came here before, it was good. Being from NC, I had Cook Out almost everyday at lunch in High school. The guy at the drive thru was cool, nice and attentive. We even had a personalized conversation. I have never been inside, just drive thru. read more

I come here for the prices and the amount of food that you can get for those prices that tastes like fast food BUT not the bad kind! LOL. But I am leaving this review to say.... I got a late night cookout tray with a cajun chicken sandwich, corn dog, and fries. I think the fries were kinda soggy and not that seasoned. Corndog was good, cajun chicken sandwich was tasty and not dry, could've had more cajun seasoning. Drive thru had a bit of a wait (more than 10 minutes). Food came hot though. read more

Utilizing a coupon, I come here and got their Oreo milkshake for under $5. It was very comparable to the McDonalds McFlurrys which I LOVE. It was a perfect sweet treat to last be two servings worth. Would come again as the staff were very friendly and efficient. I am curious about their corndogs and other sandwiches they have to offer. read more

Quick Bites, Big Flavor, Inner-City Vibes (3/5 Stars) If you're looking for fast, flavorful, no-frills eats, The Cookout gets the job done--especially when you're hungry and want something hearty that won't break the bank. First Impressions & Ambiance Located right in the heart of the city, The Cookout has that inner-city, casual charm. It's not spotless, but it's clean enough to grab a meal and enjoy it without second-guessing the space. Service & Staff The staff was helpful enough--not overly chatty or hands-on, but they got the job done, and that's really all you need in a spot like this. Food & Drinks This is where The Cookout shines. I grabbed a Cherry Wine, a Walking Taco, some cheese bites, and anything listed as "Cookout Style" is pretty much a win. It's greasy, cheesy, salty, and exactly what you want it to be--comfort food with no apologies. Wait Time & Efficiency Super fast service--my order was ready in under 2 minutes. That kind of speed means you can even swing by to break your fast or curb a late-night craving. Menu Variety & Dietary Options Let's be honest: if you're on a diet, this is not your destination. The menu is stacked with indulgent options, and that's the whole point. You come here for flavor, not macros. Price & Value Excellent value for the price. You get generous portions, and the taste delivers for what you're paying. It's affordable indulgence, plain and simple. Pros & Cons Pros: Fast service, big flavors, and great value. Cons: The neon lights could use some fixing, and they should probably clean a bit more than just the tables. A bit of upkeep would go a long way. Final Thoughts & Rating Overall, The Cookout met my expectations. It's not fancy, it's not spotless, but it delivers exactly what it promises: quick, greasy, feel-good food at a fair price. It's a solid 3-star spot, and I'd come back when the craving hits. read more

Came here after a concert on a Thursday around midnight and the drive through line was long because the inside dining area was closed. The line moved slow. My friend and I shared the jr combo with corndogs, onion rings, cheese bites, and coke float. We added another coke float. It was under $10 for all of it. The corndogs and coke float were really good. The onion rings needed to be cooked longer. The cheese bites were alright. We didn't receive any sauces with our food :( Probably will come back to try other things on the menu. read more

I've been to Cook Outs a few times, and it's absolutely panic attack inducing every single time trying to order off their complete disaster of a menu. On top of that, the kid taking my order barely spoke louder than a whisper, so I had no clue what the hell he was saying half the time I was anxiety ridden, trying to order. After finally getting my order done, I was just ready to get out of there. I got my food, and went home. It was only after I got home that I realize that my order was wrong. My burger was missing the tomato, even though it was clearly on the receipt that I was supposed to have "everything" on it. On top of that, the nuggets I got as one of my side was the saddest three dry little nugs I've ever seen. The bummer is the patties in the burger itself were actually cooked better than most fast food spots. All the negatives make it hard for me to recommend, though... That said, their huge milkshake selection is pretty incredible. read more

We loved it here!! One of a few places open late at night so we went to check it out. Quick service and great variety on the menu. Also - they offer 45 different flavors of milkshakes!! I had the chocolate chip cheesecake one and it was super good!! They have burgers, chicken, hot dogs, etc. and their sides are so good!! I got the two side meal. The burger was good and definitely add the cheese!! I picked cheese curds and Cajun fries as my sides. I'd say the sides were the best part! Very reasonably priced as well. read more

Considering there's no good late night eateries on a Sunday I ended up here. I got a typical cheeseburger combo. Opted for season fries and a lemonade. The cheeseburger was basic but better than McDonalds. The cajun fries was regular fries with season salt sprinkled on top. Not all of the fries had seasoning. However the fries are crinkle cut. The lemonade was red. Idk how that happened but I could barely drink it since it was so sweet. And it was a jumbo size. Anywho all of it was under $10. They have a drive through which moves fast. read more

This was horrible mushy food . Will not come back . We do not really do fast food but just graving something quick we were like ok let's try this . Wrong decision . Even the speaker at the drive thru order was bad . Could barely hear the guy Just go to mc donalds instead read more

Great spot for a quick and affordable bite in the heart of Atlanta. This location was clean and service was extremely fast at around 10PM on a Friday night. I only ordered the regular fries but my friends ordered their 'trays' which came with plenty of food and then some. The food was pretty solid and traditional fast food style. Not bad at all! read more

Ordered a tray with a side of cheese bites and ordered an extra side of cheese bites and only got 4 bites total. Stole my money

It's fast food. However it's exactly what I need after a long night of partying and pretending that my knees and back are younger than they actually are. The food is reasonably priced, service is quick and friendly and the the food IS GOOD (for the soul, not necessarily the body). I don't really eat fast food because I find it flavorless but cookout is anything but. The trays are not quite what I usually think of when I think of a platter, they're more of a mix and match but I guess thats ok...let the people come up with whatever strange combos they want. I love the wonderfully thick milkshakes. There are a multitude of flavors but let's be real, half if them taste the same. I also wish they'd clean the tables more often at this location. read more

Service was mediocre. Good quick food where you pay for what you get. However my very simple order of a hamburger with lettuce, mustard, ketchup, and grilled onions (which are available per request) was very wrong. The staff members helped me decide the best burger for my wants and we decided on a small burger(single patty). When i opened my burger it was two patties, three slices of cheese(we agreed on no cheese) and no onions. To be frank i was disappointed but i got what i payed for. read more

It's cheap fast food, but I shouldn't complain! This Southern Chain has some amazing prices and a variety of things on the menu. They have "trays" which are basically mix-and-match combo meals. I ordered a Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and I got two sides, so I chose cajun fries and chicken nuggets (you get three or four). It also comes with a fountain drink. Tip: for the fries, you have to request that they are cajun seasoned. I was satisfied with what I had, except, the chicken nuggets tasted terrible. They tasted like typical chicken nuggets from the frozen section at a grocery store--fake and sort of smelly. Otherwise, I liked my food! read more

Absolutely disgusting restaurant. Every surface was dirty I had to use my own Clorox wipes just to clean a table. There was a huge puddle of water near the register and the register counter was filthy. And don't even try to use the bathroom. NASTY RESTAURANT read more

Lady was a bitch at the drive thru. Went somewhere else. You work at a fucking fast food place with no line. You cut off my order before I was done placing it and scoff at me like I'm making your job harder? You push buttons on a screen. This was at 12:45 on Friday 7th. read more

I called their corporate number. Spoke to someone about my last review. I was advised they would mail me a check with a refund for the order I returned since their store does not provide refunds. To this day I have not received that refund check. Ppl don't eat here. They do not care about their customers and the corporate number that's tagged in each response. It will be a woman with an attitude that will answer. I'm sure they all don't like their job and it's been over 2 weeks read more

Service was regular speed, but they got everyone's order wrong. It's an expected part of the experience so I wasn't too offended. The double burger was actually really good, not just for 2am drunk food. The chicken wrap with honey mustard also surprised me, but would only order with the burger. Don't get the hush puppies. read more

The food was good. Not the best, but still good. I like there hush puppies. delicious!

Omg! Thought this place would be great because of the drive thru line. Nope! The drive thru line was huge because they are extremely slow. Also, the burger was disgusting and fries soggy. The cheddar bites were ok. I wanted to try the cheesecake shake but nope...wasn't available. WTH!!! Never gonna try again read more

I'm from out of town and was looking for a quick lunch. The menu is really difficult to navigate. But I ordered a burger and fries. It was supposed to come with cheddar cheese, bacon and caramelized onions. It came with no bacon. The cheese was the liquid stuff you put on nachos. The burger was rather greasy. The fries were okay. The restrooms are dirty and the dining area shabby. The service was good though. read more

This is the place to be!!.........if you want to wait 45min in the drive thru to get food. Good food, but the service is terrible. 20 cars backed up in line, & the employees are cracking jokes with cars for 15min at the window. Had to pull out without getting the food I was really looking forward to. Come during the day, if you want to enjoy it. Late-night is unbearable. read more

After a disappointing $$ appetizer meal nearby, we made the drive for something far more satisfying: Cookout. $5 gets you an entree, 2 sides, and a drink. What what. I ordered a cheeseburger with hush puppies and fries. I also upgraded my drink to a shake (because why not??). I made the split second decision to order a Heath shake. We ordered three combos so it ended up taking a little while, but the wait was so worth it. Hot fried fresh, I savored the fried goodness... The hush puppies are on point. Don't leave this out of your order. The fries are alright. The burger is maybe a step up from McDonalds. Too much bread but quite a cheap and yummy transition from our previous meal. That Heath shake though, it was SUPER rich and thick (impossible to drink through a straw, so take advantage of the spoon) but the Heath flavors were spot on. I couldn't finish it at Cookout so I took it home and let's just say, melted it does not taste good. So be a man, put up with the brain freeze and drink it before it goes bad. Can't go wrong with anything here. Fried food and milk shakes = perfect second dinner and late night meal. Or any time meal. read more

We love cookout more than any other fast food. It's so cost effective and such good quality for what it is. Want good chicken tenders / quesadilla / burger / hot dogs / cheese curds / milkshakes....and the list goes on. Cook Out is the crown jewel of the fast food world. The Mona Lisa to art, the filet to steak, the Ferrari to a normal car.....Okay you get the point. The reason Cook Out is so great is the trays value is unrivaled. I just left having a double bacon cheeseburger, cheese curds, onion rings, and a Mocha/Oreo/M&M milkshake for $7, I mean the milkshake alone at Sonic would probably be $5. Their burgers are my favorite being above the likes of Mcdonalds, Burger King, Wendys, and all other "cheap fast food" as they really arent greasy and come prepared with anything you can dream of, but the quality/taste does fall short of say Five Guys and Shake Shack but those are a lot pricier. The real reason to go to Cook Out is their 40 different shakes which you can mix 3 in one.... that makes for an enormous amount of possibilities. My favorites that ive tried are as follows: (Caramel Cheesecake/M&M/Oreo), (Snickers/Oreo), (Mocha/Oreo), (Mint/Oreo/Heath). With all that being said I hereby pronounce Cook Out as king of fast food and highly suggest trying it if you haven't already! read more

Cook Out - Mocha/Oreo/M&M, double cheeseburger, cheese rounds, and onion rings..... Too good to be fast food - Burgers Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

I love cookout. It's fast food. Burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, fries, etc. Cookout does this cool thing where chicken nuggets are not only main course menu items, but also considered a side. So instead of fries, you can get nuggets with your burger (or your nuggets!) Let's not overanalyze cookout. It's delicious, and we've all been there after the late nights. read more

The pulled pork and hushpuppies were terrific. The wait, in our car, was over an hour, just to place the order. It was good, however the wait and mismanagement of the process of serving "fast food" was glaringly obvious. Surely we won't be back. read more

I don't often post negative reviews, and honestly it's more like NEVER. However I went through the drive thru at cookout for the first time in a really long time, and never before have I had an issue like this. Girl at window "India" was my cashier. She had a HUGE attitude problem, and gave me an extremely watered down beverage. As I was trying to order, she kept interrupting me, and when I tried to confirm that she had gotten everything in my order she cut me off and wouldn't let me proceed with the rest of my order. And when I told her I wasn't done with the order yet, she had the audacity to catch an attitude. (Even though what I ordered previously wasn't even a lot. Very rude service. read more

Been in line 30 minutes. Line moves once every 5 minutes. Get to window to order grilled chicken sandwich meal. Lady says they're "out of chicken" and they only have sides and something else that I couldn't hear. Y'all don't close for two hours but you're out of half the menu? Ridiculous. After I just sat here for 30 minutes with two separate drunk homeless people weaving through the cars (one of which was a young man in women's clothing who I watched get bullied by a group of men also in the drive through line), a car full of loud drunken assholes blasting music and arguing with an employee about it, and a loud 5-minute argument just out of sight in in which I heard someone yell "I don't care! I'll fight anyone here! I don't care!" Fast food customer service is a travesty lately. They don't even try but I'm still paying the same amount as before, actually more than before. read more
