I believe Cali N Tito's is an essential piece of Athens culture. Incredible food, unbeatable prices, and an atmosphere that instantly lifts your mood. 10/10 - a must-visit!!

School buses, picnic tables, barrels, old movies playing on projectors, arcade games, all in really bright colors... something else. You order your food at the counter, get a table number stand, and then find a seat; they bring your food to you later. No refills except for tea and water; the water is available at spigots attached to the support columns with barrels underneath. Yeah, really. Food was good. Not fantastic, but good. There is a playground area outside for kids; truth be told, I'm not sure if it's a legit playground or yet another aspect of the decorations, but it's there. Seats aren't very comfortable. It's either picnic tables or fairly flimsy chairs like you'd have at an outdoor program. I was pretty uncomfortable after a few minutes, but I like to sit back and lounge in a chair. If you don't mind leaning forward your whole meal, you'll be fine. A fun experience: emphasis on experience.

It had been a couple of years since my last visit, and while they've switched to counter service now, the service was still fast and friendly. The biscuits are just as good as I remembered--soft, thick, and fluffy. I always get a side of apple butter with mine, but the raspberry jam is also worth trying. The food was every bit as delicious as I remembered. It's a restaurant that's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

They got a table ready for a party of 6 pretty quickly which was great! They have two dining areas inside and outside seating available. I ordered the peach french toast with potatoes, another person ordered the cinnamon roll to start and the a biscuit with gravy. My husband ordered the pulled pork bowl on grits and a side of fried chicken . The kids had french toast with fruit. My potatoes I can tell were from a bag and not fresh cut potatoes. They were tiny and probably what you can purchase at the grocery store, so they were crunch and hard to eat. The french toast didn't have the best taste, and the peaches seemed canned. Presentation was nice but I wouldn't order that again. My husband did not enjoy his pulled pork bowl either, he said it lacked a bit of flavor. The cinnamon roll was a little hard like it had been sitting for a bit. Now for the good, the fried chicken was some of the best chicken I had tasted so whatever is being done there keep it up! The biscuits with the jam available on the table were amazing! The kids enjoyed their kids meal as well. If in Athens again we would definitely get the chicken and biscuit but skip the other items we previously ordered.

We sent it back. They returned it still undercooked in the center and more burnt on the outside. Plus it had a strong smell of lighter fluid. My dinner was pretty good: salmon and roasted potatoes. It was seasoned nicely, although overcooked. We know it's "Frank & Sons", and they seem to like Frank Sinatra. But a continuous loop of only Sinatra's music? Some music of Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., anybody else from that era would have been nice. And they need someone to bus the tables. The only other diners besides our party left as we arrived. But their dishes were never cleared.

However, I did sit for 15 min waiting on a check with no drink left. I had a coke!! Come on. Although he got my order wrong, the food was eatable. They need healthier selections. I am really staying true to my desires and NEVER GOING BACK. And I mean it this time. Not worth the aggravation. Im not trying to run them out of business, but I hope the owners are reading these reviews and act accordingly. The service industry is a hard one, but there is no thought nor effort being put forth here. I have no idea how they can stay open!

Both locations have outside seating-so pleasant on nice Georgia afternoons and evenings. Service is always great. Food : Our group tried 4 different sandwiches and a salad-everyone was pleased. I predictably ordered their Reuben-it's always good and flavorful. This time I asked for some changes -slaw instead of kraut and they did a great job without refusing my request or charging extra. It was delicious. The huge burger they served made my friend happy. The broccoli side was cooked perfectly. The fries and sweet potato fries were crispy. The bbq sandwiches gets high marks. Pretty good fish tacos even though it isn't a Mexican restaurant. Food came out quickly and was just as we had ordered it. Service: Polly was our server on this occasion -and made our experience very positive. Friendly, pleasant, handled our spills and changes in menu requests flawlessly, kept our beverage glasses full. Facility: We ate outside. Tables are spaced well and there are shades to tone down the sun and separate the sidewalk seating from the parking area. Plenty of parking.
