I was in Glendora on a Buisness visit, and I happened to come across Waffa's Kitchen. This place is by far the best Falafel I have tasted in Glendora and on this end of Los Angels county. Tony was extremely helpful and assisted me in picking the right dish for me. I am Vegan so he recommended for me to go with the Falafel plate. This was definitely the right meal for me. Tony was very attentive, he even brought out the food and explained the process of how it is made. He made some recommendations for my next visit. Best Mediterranean food ever. My husband and I both ordered the chicken kabobs. The plate came with rice topped with onions and bell pepper and hummus. The basket was filled with a generous supply of pita bread. EVERYTHING was delicious and fresh tasting. Glendora is out of my way, but for Mediterranean food, this will be our new "go to" restaurant. The service is absolutely amazing. We felt welcome and well cared for. Because we checked in with Yelp, we both received a serving of baklava. The baklava was perfect, not too sweet, but very moist. After my old favorite spot (Village Mediterranean) changed owners and quality went way down, I was on the search for a new Mediterranean place. Luckily, Kat T. read my review complaining about the change and suggested I try Waffa's. My husband had also mentioned this place when we had passed by so I finally made it out there for lunch today! The owner (lady) was super sweet and when I told her the whole story of my old spot and how I found her, she told me that the previous owner Sonia (Village Mediterranean) is actually a friend of hers and had worked for her for years. She was surprised to hear that she had sold the place. Thought it was an interesting coincidence as both ladies are great at what they do! Now on to the actually review... I got my usual, a chicken plate. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the portions were HUGE. The plate came with 6 chunks of chicken, grilled red peppers, grilled onion (super sweet), hummus, rice, salad, garlic sauce, and 2 pitas (see pic). I checked in and redeemed a free baklava and she was kind enough to throw in an extra one on the house! The chicken was perfectly cooked, rice had a lot of flavor, hummus tasted homemade, and garlic sauce has the kick that I love. It was nice to have enough pita to wrap everything together and shove in my mouth :) The only thing I didn't like was the salad dressing. It just tasted like lemon juice and way to sour for me, but I'm happy enough with everything else where it doesn't affect my rating. Needless to say, I've found my new spot!!! read more

Agree with other Yelpies, this is more like a take-out deli/catering setup than a bonafide restaurant. However, the lady is so nice and welcoming, you will be fine staying in for a meal. Just expect it may be a little bit of a wait. We tried the chicken kabob, some kind of meat (sorry can't remember what it was called) the hummus, pita bread, rice pilaf and a salad which came on the plate with tahini and garlic sauce(potent!) Everything was so fresh and the hummus was amazing. I really liked the chicken, not too fond of the meat thing. The rice was excellent. I left completely full and satisfied. I spied take-out containers of tabouli, hummus, and dolmas to go, as well as baklava. Next time I will probably get a to go order for convenience sake. My only criticism would be: I wish the pita bread was warm. read more

I was surprised to find Waffa's Kitchen on Yelp since it had never appeared in all of my constant local Mediterranean searches. I finally saw it and decided to give it a try. I sampled everything. The chicken kebob plate, the meat pie, the baklava, the grape leaves, and the pita chips. The chicken kebob is simply delicious. Very moist chicken bursting with delicious Lebanese flavor. The rice is simple and perfectly accompanies the meat and grilled veggies. The hummus has a little spice and zest and is extremely tasty. The meat pie held delicious savory meats, complimented with delicious pine nuts and crust. Aside from the meat and hummus, the baklava was truly my favorite and tops my favorite baklavas of all time. Waffa's has been around for 10 years and is family owned. The chef is a very kind woman who makes everything herself and uses her own home recipes. While I was there, I enjoyed speaking with her about her food and left feeling that familiar, warm family feeling. If you're looking for fine dining, Waffa's may not be your place since it is rather intimate and quaint, but the food will blow your mind. It is extremely affordable also. My co-workers pick up lunch from this places from time-to-time, and let me say: I'm a big fan! Their chicken and beef skewers are GREAT! The size of the chunks of meat, are not like other places I have eaten at. These are big chunks, I get to cut them up into smaller pieces and enjoy so much more food. The chicken is well cooked and well-seasoned. The BEEF, OMG ... Blows out every other skewer I have eaten. We are talking QUALITY here! Not to mention, they grill some tomatoes and peppers to include with your skewers as well - so great. The bed of rice that they included with my lunch was great, well cooked, and not overly seasoned or cooked too long like other places. The humus was great and the pita bread was perfect. Their food was pretty good, I'm quite partial to Oasis Grill, by Basha Market. My most favorite thing, that I crave now though is their fresh made baklava. It's not overly syrupy or sticky. Ordered catering from this place for Mother's Day. Amazing! It was so convenient. Called the day before to pick up the next day. Food was ready and fresh off the grill when I picked it up. We ordered for 10 people and there was more than enough food. The meat was so soft that my brother-in-law thought the meat might be filet mignon; honestly I think it might have been. My wife's family is Greek so they know Mediterranean food and they absolutely loved it. Hands down best Mediterranean food around here. Waffa's Kitchen gets PACKED and with good reason.. Their hospitality and relationship with their customers is absolutely unmatched. I feel like I'm at a relative's house. Actually, that's not true, I feel awkward and uncomfortable with relatives, but the owners here really make you feel at home. Portions are very generous, food is definitely fresh, and tastes pretty good. The reason for 4 stars and not 5, is that the meat on the kebabs are quite dry, and not as flavorful as I am used to. My husband also thinks their garlic spread is too garlicky, and I agree, but don't mind it. I will still keep coming here though because I enjoyed my meal for the most part and especially loved that they have roasted tomatoes and bellpeppers with the rice! Healthy eats FTW! read more

First, Waffa's is family owned which I LOVE & think is so important to support in any town. Their service is always genuine & while may not be the quickest it's only because they cook everything to order. Trust me, the wait is well worth the taste. Now for the food. Amazing. I could eat here just about every night. I always get the chicken kebob plate & have always been pleased. You know the feeling when you're full but you just want to keep eating because it's that good? Yeah that's the feeling the chicken kebob gives me. My suggestion: Place your order ahead of time. I came here because my friend recommended this place to me and let me tell you.... I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! first off the owner Waffa is the sweetest woman ever! When we got there and placed our order she told us it would take 10-15 minutes which was fine because we knew we were getting our food fresh. While we were waiting she gave us a sample of tabbouleh and our pita bread that came with our order. The gesture was so nice and the appetizer was so good! For my meal I ordered the chicken kabob! OMG SOOOO GOOD! It came with salad, rice, and hummus. Also there was a garlic spread in the box and everything was really good and fresh. All in all I give this place a 100 out of 10!
