The name is certainly fitting, considering the madness of how much supply is here. Boxes stacked upon boxes stacked upon boxes everywhere you turn. There are sooooooo many comic books scattered around that I'm pretty sure Wade doesn't even know what he has. Sure, sifting through all that inventory can be overwhelming, but that's part of the fun. Each trip is different as the staff uncovers and prices additional stock from the shipments of yesterday (and yesteryear). So, it's like a race against time to see what gems you can find before they even realize what they have! Allow yourself plenty of time, though, because it is very easy to get lost for hours as you comb through the bins and boxes of eras and stories gone by. But that's why I love it. Unfortunately, there are some things I wish they could do better... like with their pricing, which isn't always consistent. Some books aren't labeled or in a designated price box. So then you're left up to the discretion of whoever works the cash register that day to determine what they want to charge for it. I also used to be a big fan of their VIP program, which, for $15, offered some discount on almost everything in the store. Plus, a $10 credit on your birthday month. So it paid for itself and then some. But as I recently learned in my last few visits, this isn't always the case. It's really left up to the discretion of whoever is working the register that day whether or not they want to honor it. ‍ But the staff is still very polite and helpful and I do enjoy coming here. Wade's Comic Madness is my go to for everything comics. They really help me complete my collections when finding my Back Issues I need and also suppling my current pull list. He pro-actively suggests comics I may like and Isn't wrong. Their prices are always fair and I hope to continue my collection through them. I highly recommend. read more

Decided to check out this store as the local big box store did not have any sports cards. Walked in with no acknowledgement or greeting which is fine but when you're the only customer in the store you might want to say hello or something. I don't know, customer service 101. In any event I asked where the sports cards are located and was told behind the counter on the shelf. When asked if a particular box was a hobby box I got the nonchalant I don't know much about baseball as I've got all these other items to attend to. Was willing to buy quite a large amount of boxes to re-up my inventory and I then questioned if there were any deals to be made and was told "yeah maybe if you buy the all of the boxes." What kind of snarky response is that?! Please take this review however you'd like but being a customer minded vendor; treating customers as they are your best client is truly paramount to a successful business. This place really failed miserably with a flea having a better conversation/experience than what had transpired. I will definitely not be returning. read more

I love this. i moved 12 hr away to NC and still only use Wade's Comics. They have awesome services they tons of collection of comics and top brand Stautes like Sideshow collectables. Wade's Comic Madness is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Shop is large but has one serious weakness: it's messy. Large selection of longboxes from cheap to expensive and graphic novels, but organization of the cheaper boxes could have been better. We were not able to go downstairs and see the thousands of back issues due to an upcoming sale. New pull selection was good and located all over the store. Wade's also has an extensive selection of collectibles and toys located all around the shop, but you might have to heavily search for some items. Items we noticed were the figures and a large amount of Star Trek items. In the shops one corner is a shrine to Captain America, but it was obscured at the time by many boxes. One advantage cash paying customers have here is they get a discount due to the lack of credit card swipe fees with cash. They also have in store "bid board" style auctions for various comics and toys, a unique thing. Overall, Wade's is a great shop, but it needs a serious reorganization and cleanup. Easiest way I could see them doing this is by closing half the store, working in that area, and then doing the other half. Some items could also be sale binned, making the store less cluttered. read more

It harms my soul to know that there is so much merchandise in one location. If a meteor hits, pray it miss Wade's, lest our culture be hit ten fold. Call them up or visit, no matter what you need the staff seems to always have an answer that pleases from "It's over here" to "Yeah, prolly in the basement, lemme go check" or "No, but we'll get it for you, that's not hard." I've been going to Wade's for years and watched the regular cast of characters manning the [growing] marketplace evolve into a reliably hilarious staff that honestly care about collecting to the nth degree. Wade will order the craziest merchandise just to have it in store, like awesome replica weapons and artifacts that cost hundreds. Stuff you'll rarely ever see. Also, if you like Captain America (or hate him) you can check out a portion of Wade's personal collection. Bring a camera. Oh, and it's home to the largest back catalog of ...everything. And not just comics, they've got everything that goes along with them from figures and statues/busts, to shirts and rare collectables, to everything in between. The store hosts annual field days, BBQs, 24 hour comic book days, free comic book days that tend to last weeks, and has the strongest presence of any vendor at Wizard World Philadelphia every year, where you'll see a Wade's logo shirt constantly in your field of view. Your best bet is to visit the Madness and feel the impact of it all. Extremely reasonable pricing and frequent store-wide sales. read more

While I am not a "regular" I've spent PLENTY of cash here over the years. There is a certain comic book, that's a limited run. I grabbed a few copies of the first issue for $2.99. I came back the following month, and was told they were temporarily sold out of the second issue. I should check back the following Wednesday. I did so, and since they know this is sort of a hot, they said they are now $20 an issue. Keep in mind this is on the newsstands now. I went down to the city and pick 3 of them up for cover price. And while we were there, me and my two friends dropped about another $40 each that could've been yours. So Wades can kiss my ass with their price gouging. You will never get another dollar of my money, & I will let every single one of my local comic collector friends know. Trust me Wades, this $20 price jack will cost you many hundreds in lost sales from me and mine. read more

Having worked in one for a while along with having visited most of the comic shops in the NJ, PA and DE....I have to say I am a little disappointed in Wades. For one the place is a mess. There is crap everywhere and some of it seems to no rhyme or reason. They have a huge and awesome selection (don't get me wrong) and love looking through their non-comic merch as well, as I usually find some awesome gifts for myself and others....but it is just a total nightmare trying to find anything in that mess! Sometimes it is borderline disgusting, like when they had that rotting pumpkin sitting outside the shop for months after Halloween a couple years ago and I almost busted my ass slipping on its partially decomposed and frozen remains. I am really sad that Steve's Comic Relief (nearby at 5-points) closed down recently. They had a much smaller selection, but were much more organized and the staff was nicer... read more

I think Wade's is the best comic shop in the general Trenton, NJ area. Large selection of new comics, huge back issue area, lots of trade paperbacks and graphic novels. Friendly and helpful staff. Innovative method of organizing and presenting trades, hardcovers and graphic novels. Nice freebies and give-aways. A nice side emphasis of rpg and ccg gaming. Figurines and action figures. I really want to love Wade's, as it's my local shop, and the staff there are all really helpful and friendly. They have a great selection of collectibles, figures, new pull comics, and back issues. HOWEVER, the thing that I'd be buying the most, the back issues, are a real mess and in no order whatsoever. I would probably be spending hundreds of dollars here every few weeks if I could go in and find what I'm looking for easily, but it's just impossible. I'm not sure when the last time they organized their back issues, but it's had to have been a long time ago, if not never. They also have piles of comics and books seemingly randomly placed and haphazardly scattered around the center of the store that are not for sale, which just adds to the disorganization and cluttered feel. If they can clean this place up a bit, get their issues in order and in between the correct dividers in the long boxes, this would be a really great shop. In the meantime, I find myself driving well out of my way to other shops just because I know it will be easier to search for the issues I'm looking for, which, obviously, I'd rather not do. read more

This place has tons of stuff, and it's fun to look through their collection and find some hidden gems. That being said, looking through night be an issue, since it's overpacked inside and not well organized. The epic Captain America corner is obscured behind a bunch of shelves, which is a shame. Also there's a few bins chock full of loose, unorganized Magic cards, I pity whoever takes on the task of organizing that mess. I wanted to go through and see if there were any gems but it was just too much. That being said there's lots if awesome tchotchkes, posters and don't forget tons of comics. Do not deal with these people under any circumstances. They are dishonest. I ordered a product from them, paid $300 in full, and never received it. More to the point. when I was told that it wasn't available, I was also told that they couldn't afford to refund my money. Months and months later, I have only been refunded $100.00 and have had to pester and chase consistently just to get that. Let me start off by saying I wouldn't bother going to Wade's Comic Madness for anything other than action figures and collectibles. If you're looking for a huge selection of well organized comics and graphic novels I would recommend Comic Collection and Records Too in Feasterville. Back to Wade's, they have a large inventory of collectibles going for them, but the store is a disaster area. Merchandise is loosely put together, and many figures and statues are packed onto high up shelves that you can't see or get to. This wouldn't be a problem if the employees were aware of their inventory, but they're not. Which leads me to the review of their customer service. I'm never acknowledged when I walk in, any questions about their stock is shortly replied with an "I don't know" or "no", and I swear one guy actually laughed about the fact that he couldn't help me. Super awkward experiences when I go there. Lastly, when you go to buy something they like to double check the ticket price to make sure that they're getting the most they can out of you, which is complete bulls***. 2 stars for the fact that they have a lot of stuff. 1 star for everything else. read more

Simply the best comics store I have ever known. They have the largest selection of comics dating back to before the 80s, especially replace my if you can get in the Basement. A comic shop to go out of your way to visit. Wade's not only has a massive selection of new, back issue and vintage comics, but they also have a near endless supply of modern and vintage toys. They get new stuff from all the major guys like Diamond, Sideshow, etc. But it's the vintage stuff like Transformers, GI Joe, TMNT and the like that make the trip worthwhile. The store has a great lay out, prices are very fair and it's easy to get lost in the nostalgia for hours at a time. Check it out, you won't regret it. read more

It's pretty neat and close to home, which I love. What I don't love? A lot of stuff looks like it was just thrown askew all over the place. This place is #1 place to get all comic and video game collectibles. It is my #1 place to go to when I want to purchase something or just to look around sometimes for hours and it us a lot of fun. Wade is one of my very good friends and I have known him for a very long time. He also got me into his VIP card, so I can get evern better discounts! So I've been coming to this comic book store for a couple of years and recently got into Magic the Gathering and the tournaments they hold at the store on a weekly basis. The store is an absolute mess on it's own but their collection of Magic Cards are miss-organized and thrown around in 5-10 boxes in the back of the shop. I spoke to Wade the owner and he had told me that the cost of the Magic the Gathering cards in those boxes are 100 cards for $10 dollars and if the amount of cards are under 100 that he would work out a deal to where the price is below $10 dollars. So one day I spent 2-3 hours with my friend digging through these boxes looking for any hidden gems or cards that would fit into my deck and came across about 6 cards that I wanted to purchase that we're all back -to-back inside of the rows of boxes, I took them to Wade who was behind the counter of the shop and he went online on his laptop and priced out every single card I picked and charged me over $40 dollars for all 6 of the cards. He explained that one of the cards was a promotional card and not supposed to be in those boxes. The card he was referring to ended up being worth around $20 dollars so I basically made him money for my 2-3 hours of sorting through his tragic mess of cards. With me, I also had an empty, used card box and decided to buy that and leave all six cards at the shop because I was so annoyed at Wade for going back on his word. Wade didn't even offer me the card box for free for finding his rare card in his mess of boxes. Wade is a business man to his core so do not expect any deals from this man. His shop is an absolute mess and it's almost impossible to find anything your looking for. I will not be returning to his shop and I have already made my friends aware of his going back on his deals. read more

Wades Comic Madness is one of my favorite stores to go to. Everytime I go into Wade's store I find something new that I end up buying. He has a great selection of comics, statues, action figures, etc... They always have something I want. I go to Wade's at least once a week and sometimes even more than that. The service at Wade's is great and if they dont have something I need Wade or Jon will order it for me. Wade and his staff are some of the nicest, coolest, helpful people I have ever meant. Also, everytime you have a question they always have an answer. I have never had any problem with anything at Wade's. This store is one of the best comic book store I have ever been to.
