Amazing store with super helpful shop owners. Easily my favorite comic shop in the area, I can spend so much time here digging through bins, checking out statues, buying weekly releases, and looking for cool collectibles. My one complaint is that the Funko Pops overwhelm the store, to the point where you can't even browse most of their graphic novel section because it's all being blocked by walls of Pops. It would do wonders for this store if they could get rid of A LOT of inventory on eBay and redo the setup to have a section dedicated to Funko. I'm sure those Pops pay the bills so I get it, it seems to be more of a space issue. Anyway this store absolutely rocks and I'll continue to visit whenever I have the chance. Nobody around has a better collection of pop culture related stuff whether you want to browse around or are looking to purchase something cool. Five stars all day. read more

I ordered online with them on April 7th. Based off the reviews I saw on yelp and online I figured if they are great in store. The same would come from the online side. But they took the money out my account day one and charged me shipping. And I have yet to Receive my order as of May 10th. I've emailed no response. Direct message on Instagram no response. I had to call 3 times with the same excuse "it will go out next week." Or "it's free comic box day we are swamped." This is not a way to handle online orders. You may have good reviews in store but I would not recommend them for online orders. If you can't ship out timely don't charge for shipping. If you can't fulfill the order refund me the money. I hope this gets to the person that needs to see it cause I shouldn't have to put this much effort to get something I paid for. read more

I went in yesterday for the first time ever and it was a decent drive and honestly it was worth it. Everything in there was sick from the pop walls to the statues. Even the people there made me feel welcome and they were so kind unlike other shops I've been to. I would say that I am a "novice" comic book nerd. I was really into the Marvel Comics of the 90's and then I had kids and, unfortunately, grew up! When I realized that I had made a terrible mistake, I was so happy that Conquest Comics was there to help. I had given away-yes, not even sold-my entire collection of Generation X comics. I work at a local game store (which does not have any comics), and a mutual customer of our store and Conquest had told me that they probably had a few "entire collections" and that all I had to do was ask and I would receive! So, I did! I messaged Conquest on Facebook, and they promptly replied that they would see what they could dredge up. In the meantime, I was checking around to see what I could expect to spend, but realizing that I was going to be support a small, local business, gave up on that whole idea and honestly would have paid them whatever they wanted due to the labor that must have went into digging through their HUGE collection of comics to find what I needed. It wound up taking me almost 2 weeks to pick up my items, and while I am sure they were ready to ban me for life for taking so long, they were still very VERY patient and understanding, and held the collection for me anyway. When I came in, ALL the comics were in perfect order, AND they had included special editions, too! This was well beyond my expectations. I was throughly impressed. When I went to the store, it was full of POP Vinyl Figures (which include a really cool claw machine, btw) t-shirts and so many toys, it was like Heaven on earth. I know now, if I ever have a need that I can't fill in my own store, Conquest is my new go-to. Patient, friendly, and wonderful staff, along with a truly amazing store. If you are looking to buy collectibles, this place is definitely for you. They have extensive collection of standard and exclusive action figures, Pop Funko's, statues and many other items. In terms of comics they have many classic and original copies, back issues, graded CGC and new issues available. The graphic novel section is well organized and seemingly always up to date and in stock (Most comic shops seem to be missing volumes from a collection) and if they are missing anything in the store they offer to order it for you. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable as well. As a collector and reader, this is easily my favorite comic book store in NJ. read more

Nice place. I've been in a couple of times. I live in NYC and my parents live in Ocean County so this place is my back up I guess to get things from if I'm not around my spot. They have a great selection of new stuff, haven't really looked at the back issues, but where this place really shines is the figures and statues. I have gone to many different stores from NY,NJ,PA,DE and this is my favorite. When I started reading comics this was first place I went and these guys where awesome to me. Honestly, I was nervous to go into the store or any store not knowing anything. I braved it and I was welcomed with open arms. Now I go there just about every week and I can't ask for better experience. Their trade paper selection is very nice wide variety. They also have a huge old floppy collection, it's massive. Of course the new collection is just like any store. Really the best about this store is the service the two owners are down to earth nice dudes just like comic store should be. Twice I under calculated my purchase and they've let me slide on the tax. Which is just something they do not have to do, ever. Conquest Comics is the premiere comic shop in Ocean County and one of New Jersey's top comic shops. While a lot of shops focus on one or two items, single issues, toys, ect. Conquest has a wealth of everything from single issues, back issues, toys, trades, and statues. The owners Chris and Pete are constantly cycling in new merch and every Wednesday make the shop feel new and exciting. Prepare yourself for the sheer awe of the stock in every genre including an insane amount of Funko Pops and while the shop has a huge selection is kept clean and well maintained if not for a few random long boxes for back issue restocking. Friendly conversations regularly take place between the patrons that makes for a welcoming environment for fans of all ages and tastes. Those in the mood for a game of chance will enjoy their Funko claw machine, as well as a few classic arcade games. And those looking for a deep dive through back issues will find over a hundred long boxes of hidden treasures. But the extremely poor organization and the outrageous prices had me out the door empty handed in no time at all. We haven't been there in over a year. They are quite expensive. My husband and I have been there several times. The length between visits had varied between one month to almost a year. They always have the same inventory in their collectibles. This leads me to believe that their price points are way too high to move product. On a completely different note, the store is filthy. So I went to this place driving past it on a whim and absolutely fell in love. It's such a gem tucked away into a suburban shopping strip. They have such an incredible selection and lots of rare finds. The guy who worked there was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. I will definitely be going back. If you are able to buy items from another store, do it! Avoid this store if possible! Horrible customer service. Collectors are not their priority. I ordered a statue from them, they shipped it to me and it arrived in two pieces. I contacted the store to resolve and they completely ignored the email that was sent. The item was packaged badly, no care taken in this at all. I paid $240 for a statue and now have to live with a statue with cracks in it. They are rude and unwilling to do what it takes to make customers happy, especially after spending that much money with them. Spend your money at a more deserving store! read more

The prices are outrageous especially on the pops. They give no deals whatsoever even to those who are a daily come round and financially support them. They never have anyone in the store because the prices are so outrageous. Ive bought comic books and pops elsewhere because of how much cheaper it is. This place is amazing especially for anyone into collectibles they have it all. They have an amazing selection of figures from new to old and Rare. They had TONS of figurines/statues/Pop Funko's which was mildly overwhelming upon entering the premises. It gave the impression of floor-to-ceiling Pop Funko's for walls at first glance. But I imagine if you are looking for one in particular, they probably have it available. I was happy to find a few back issues for comics I had been searching for. The graphic novel section was pretty full to look through as well as new single issues. If you are into collectibles/novelty items it is worthwhile to check it out. read more

The comic book that I got from them was great condition. The online service was poor. The only communication with them was two emails through PayPal. One of the emails took me contacting them three times. I hate to criticize without suggesting an improvement so, have an automatic email that thanks the costumer for buying from you. This way the costumer doesn't feel unsure if you saw their purchase when they are not contacted for days. With this auto email you can update it for busy times like Christmas letting people know that it might take lower than normal. Lastly, if you don't use the auto email, respond and apologise to your customers when you take forever to contact them and if there is going to be a delay in shipping their products. You guys treat the comics with great care as I saw in my purchase. Please do the same with your costumers and fulfill your 2018 New year's resolution! Thanks for the book! read more

I go in mostly with my son who loves the thrill of finding a rare or unusual collectible. We enjoy going through this little shop that's packed to the ceiling with all sorts of treasures waiting to be discovered. We may not always purchase something but it's always fun and interesting to view the vast collections of comics, books, Funko figures, and all the cool Star Wars figures. The owners are super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their inventory and helpful in locating an item they may not currently stock, for you. You can tell the owners have a passion for this, as many times we've come in to the store and observed enthusiastic conversations about certain figure, or collectors card etc. between the owner and a customer. Hope you take the time the visit this shop. The only negative thing I'll say is at times parking can be a little tricky as it's located in a small strip mall but it's worth the inconvenience. read more

There comics collection is vast. They have everything here. I live in Toms River and so far the best Comic Store I have been too.
