Would not even price items in my hand while in store. prefers eBay auction customers over cash in person locals. Everything they carry can be found online cheaper. If they prioritize online customers, no need to support their brick and mortar. read more

Very good selection. Has better selection than a lot of larger shops. Front counter guy is cool and knows his comic stuff, as well as pro wrestling. From independent to the mainstream stuff this places has it all. Awesome selection of new and old titles as well as a ton of volume books. Great to have a really good spot close to home. I've seen shops in the city with less of a selection, the person who orders the books knows his stuff and get a wide selection of independent stuff and not just the marvel/ dc universe. Really good shop ton a stuff can't lose going here for your comic needs. Would recommend this shop to anyone looking to add to their collection of books. read more

Cool little comic shop tucked away in a strip mall. Make sure you're looking for it when heading over there. Nice selection of new titles and some back issues. Owner seems pretty nice and likes talking about his business. I guess an owner should enjoy the business he's in. Small local store. They have a good selection of new books and TPBs. They didn't have a ton of back issues, but they did have a few things I was looking for and for pretty good prices. I was lucky enough to find the place on a Monday which was tax free Mondays. That's a nice little thing. The guy working at the time was also very nice and engaging. read more

I started coming here a couple of weeks ago after I started reading The Walking Dead comics, and I like this store a lot. They carry all types of comics, from Batman and Captain America to TWD and Adventure Time, they have it all! They keep an updated rack of the newest issues out that week. They carry silver age comics and different kinds of trading cards, too. The staff there is very friendly. There are two guys I've seen in there and they both like to talk to you about the comics and what not. Great local comic book shop with a friendly owner who works the counter. The other guy that works there provided great recommendations for new reads. I have talked to those guys about comics, movies, pop culture, etc and they are good people who genuinely enjoy what they do. This small business seems to truly value their patrons. Now known simply as Comic Relief, this Toms River, New Jersey comic book shop is one of two comic book stores in the area, servicing the needs of Ocean County. I have personally been a regular (once a week) there for going on 5 months, although I had frequented it many times over the years. The owner is a great guy, always offering to order any back issues they don't have in stock, or work with you on price if you want a deal on a key issue or expensive variant. They have a large selection but he doesn't over order titles, so get there early on Wednesday when the new titles come out each week, as we regulars will clean him out of a hot book pretty quick. Another plus is there dollar bin, always stocked with great titles in very fine to near mint condition in most cases. He even has a 3 for $1 box! That's 33.3 cents a book and they too are fairly new and in great condition. Oh and before I forget, yes they have trades, graphic novels, and even a few figurines and collectibles. So bottom line, if you're in Tom's River and in search of comics, look no further, this is the place you want to be. read more
