This store is adorable! They have so many books, so many sections and subsections! There is parking…read morein the front, and elsewhere around the little strip area of shops. If you pull in, you do end up backing onto a busy road so leave with caution. As I said, they have a great selection. There are four rooms of boons, each section is clearly labeled and occasional thematic decor. There are also occasional benches so you can sit and debate which books you want to "adopt". They're used, but gently and each has a price lower then the face value written inside. They also have the largest selection of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys I've ever seen. Its all very impressive.

I found books I absolutely love--some I discovered on my own and others that were personally recommended by the store's fabulous curator, and owner Peter. When I mentioned a book I had recently read and loved--Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin--Peter immediately jumped up, went straight to the bottom shelf, and pointed it out. There was even a handwritten staff recommendation and summary attached to the book. Many of the books throughout the store have these thoughtful mini-reviews, which made browsing feel so personal and engaging. I love the overall vibe of this shop. The selection of gifts is just right: a charming mix of journals, candles, book-themed merchandise, and a few toys--including stuffed animals. I fell in love with a stuffed bear and now I'll have to go back because I didn't purchase him (regret!). If you have the time, I highly recommend setting some aside to slowly explore the shelves, stacks, and cozy nooks of this beautifully curated bookstore. It's an absolute delight

What a great local business that needs to be fully supported! Who doesn't love roaming around a…read morebookstore in a beach town?! It's like a Hallmark movie waiting to happen! Walking in, you're pulled into every corner of different reading temptations. From best sellers, to used booked that look barely worn, to a whole children's section to explore in the basement. I bought the sequel to a book a recently finished in the "used" section for $4.99! It looked fresh and hot off the press and snapped it up! Plenty of people had more than two books in their hands, and with their selection, I can see why. The staff was very personal and cheery, sharing their own recommendations when someone was indecisive. No pushiness or hovering over you; just friendly and welcoming. I'd give this review 5 stars because of the amount of times I've been here, I've never had a problem and I do still plan on returning. But today I went in to order something and when I said the title of the book the cashier looked at me like I had three heads. It really hurt my feelings because it is a self help book for grief and understanding loss, and even though the title is a little shocking I don't think it was professional for the cashier to judge me so harshly for wanting to buy and read this book. For reference the book is called 'The Autopsy of a Suicidal Mind.' After that interaction with the first cashier I actually had a very positive interaction with a second cashier, the man who ordered the book for me since it wasn't in the store. The interaction was professional, kind and in no way did I feel judged for my selection. Like I mentioned before, I do plan on returning because this is one of my favorite stores, but I wanted people to be aware of the problem I encountered, because it did quite frankly hurt my feelings a lot.

While ringing me up, she asked again what kind of milk I wanted. Since I hadn't paid for my book yet i suggested why don't you make this while I go pay. At the payment area there were no cashiers , only one person off the side sorting books. The same one that was out on the floor, I'm trying to make noise so she heard me finally comes over and asked me if I'm ready, I'm like I'm ready! I go back to the coffee stand. They haven't made my drink yet. When I got home, I compared their price to what was listed on Amazon. They were $10 higher!! my first and last time at the store.

This independent bookstore and community hub is a warm, inviting space filled with thoughtfully curated books, special collections, and fun book-themed finds. The shop is full of character too, with cool touches like an old-school Pac-Man console and even a piano. Grab a comfy chair, flip through a new read, and sip on a drink from The 2nd Cup Cafe tucked in the back. As we wandered through the shop, there was an unmistakable sense of calm and happiness in the air. Leashed and friendly dogs are welcome inside, making it a perfect stop for book lovers and their pups.

The store has a nice selection of best sellers, kids books, and event offerings. The staff and manager are friendly and happy to be there.
