Versatile Event Designs - Versatile Event Designs

Versatile Event Designs

I used versatile for both the harpist for my wedding and the DJ for my reception and both were…read moreincredible! The harpist was sweet, talented, and a pleasure. The DJ was great - he was able to organize and direct the evening without being annoying, pushy, or overly-heard. There is nothing worse than a DJ who monopolizes the mic and makes the evening about themselves. This could not have been further from what happened here - our DJ struck a wonderful balance. I would recommend Versatile to anyone. Also, I thought they were very reasonably priced.

I provided them with the details of the event, and Versatile came through. Based on our needs, Ozzy recommended what equipment would be able to handle the venue, as well as the crowd we were expecting. Our DJ was in contact with us by phone that morning to let us know he was on his way, showed up at the requested time with every bit of promised equipment. He was flexible and professional when faced with the challenge of working side by side with another vendor for a video presentation at the last minute and integrated their systems to work together seamlessly. My experience with Versatile Entertainment couldn't have been more positive and I would refer them to anyone I know looking for a professional, reliable and experienced DJ.

Unforgettable DJs

Married on July 9, 2016. I know this review is a little bit late, but let me just say that Chris…read moreand his team at Unforgettable DJs were amazing to work with. As the groom, I didn't have much responsibility but one thing I wanted a say in, was the music. After looking throughout the magazines and web sites, I thought almost every DJ in the area looked like they were straight from Staten Island ready to take over the Jersey Shore. I was looking for someone who had a more "mature" vibe, yet could still make the party fun for everyone. We met with Chris and discussed everything from music selection to pricing options. He was never pushy and always kept in mind what we wanted. On the day of the wedding, he was just as great. He greeted many different guests and talked to them about what they wanted to hear and did his best to fulfill requests. I know it was tough too because we also needed to include some Polish music for my side of the guests. He kept the party rocking until the very last song. In fact, I think what upset me the most was when the photographer made us leave the party to take some pics and I missed a few of my favorite songs! After the wedding, we received a bunch of compliments on how much people enjoyed the music. I would recommend Unforgettable DJs to anyone!

My experience was definitely unforgettable... but not in a good way. :( my fiance and i were really…read moreexcited about potentially booking one of their dj's, pj, for our upcoming wedding. i gave them a call and whereas i'd had no problems with any vendors coming into manhattan to meet with us, they told us that they had a "no driving into manhattan without a contract" policy. i thought that was understandable, so made arrangements with my fiance to take the day off work on a tuesday to meet with the dj at our venue in clifton, nj. before the meeting, not knowing the etiquette, we asked the dj if we were expected to provide a meal. his reply was very curt and told us that "in 12+ years of dj-ing he'd never come across this question." yikes. we definitely didn't mean to offend and we apologized and assured him we'd be happy to pay for his meal. however, we scheduled another meeting with another dj just to have a back up. this dj was also in central jersey, came in to the city to meet with us, and gave us a great rate! my fiance and i were impressed but we had already gotten the time off work and the wedding wire reviews were so great that we decided we still wanted to meet with unforgettable djs. the meeting went very well! we thought pj had a lot of awesome, youthful energy. however, we wanted some time to think about it. my fiance and i debated and while the packaging price was better with the other dj, we thought that pj seemed like he'd bring more energy to the night. we e-mailed them explaining where we were in the decision-making process and asked if the price was negotiable. a few minutes later we received an e-mail that was essentially an e-mail RANT, accusing us of giving them "the bait and switch," listing all the trouble they'd gone through to meet with us. they also stated, "To offer my services for one dollar less is to de-value my services and I would never be able to do that." they also accused us of trying to steal their ideas ("I offered you input that you now will be able to use whether it's with me or any other DJ that you choose.") which seemed both paranoid and arrogant. i later called the owner of the company who apologized to me (hence the 2 star instead of 1). however, as a bride-to-be who is already stressed enough planning, having to tiptoe around one of my vendors is SO NOT WORTH IT. yes, maybe other people who used them loved them, but if you decide (or even LOOK like you're going to decide) to not go with them, watch out! an intimidating exchange at best, a demeaning one at worst. bring your business elsewhere. note: i was really surprised that wedding wire had ONLY glowing reviews about this place and looked up how the reviews worked. it seems that if there is a bad review, vendors can get that review pulled from the site. that's MESSED UP. secondly, i feel like a good chunk of the wedding wire reviews are fake because this place ALREADY has 1 filtered review posted. YAY for yelp for posting REAL reviews by REAL people and monitoring it!
