The owner took her time to show me a variety of outfit combinations and pointed me in the right direction in terms of sizing. She put together a few shirt and pant outfits that were exactly what I was looking for! She also showed me some adorable books, bibs and jackets that were hard to pass up. This is the perfect store to find clothes for your own child or as a gift, as the staff is very helpful and the store has an amazing inventory. I also recently received a birthday gift for my son from this store, and I am in love! It is an adorable pajama outfit with a matching bedtime book. The woman at the register was incredibly sweet, however a couple minutes after we entered, another woman came into the store. Im not sure what the woman's name was, but she was an employee. We got there about 10 minutes before closing although we were unaware of that until the other employee brought it up. We apologized & responded by saying we were just trying to get an idea of what the store had and didn't plan on staying past closing. The woman responded with "well some of us have places to be & lives to live". She came off as very rude, despite the other employee insisting to her that she would be fine alone, and that she could leave early. We got there at about 5:20, and the door was not locked, nor did the register woman mention she had an issue at all. My husband went back inside after loading our kids up to explain to the nicer woman, how off putting the other had been, and that it's deterring us as new customers to come back. He went back to iterate that behaving that way was just very rude of her, and we also wanted to ensure that she wasn't the owner of the store. 1 star off for that woman, 4 stars that maybe could become 5 depending on our next visit which will hopefully be a better one. I don't know if she was having a bad day, or an emergency, but we did not appreciate her demeanor towards us, especially in the presence of our children. The only reason we are going to give this place another shot, is due to the woman at the register who was both apologetic & sympathetic on behalf of her coworker. 05/19/2026

I found books I absolutely love--some I discovered on my own and others that were personally recommended by the store's fabulous curator, and owner Peter. When I mentioned a book I had recently read and loved--Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin--Peter immediately jumped up, went straight to the bottom shelf, and pointed it out. There was even a handwritten staff recommendation and summary attached to the book. Many of the books throughout the store have these thoughtful mini-reviews, which made browsing feel so personal and engaging. I love the overall vibe of this shop. The selection of gifts is just right: a charming mix of journals, candles, book-themed merchandise, and a few toys--including stuffed animals. I fell in love with a stuffed bear and now I'll have to go back because I didn't purchase him (regret!). If you have the time, I highly recommend setting some aside to slowly explore the shelves, stacks, and cozy nooks of this beautifully curated bookstore. It's an absolute delight

Since I'm not too good with arranging flowers in a vase, I either buy too few and have to go back to buy more and then they're gone, or, I buy too many and waste money. I brought my vase from home because I saw these big beautiful velvet poinsettia flowers trimmed in white. I showed the vase to the young lady in the store . She took the flowers which were in the window display in a Christmas tree, paired them with faux lamb's ear, tried other greenery, but the lamb's ears were perfect, cut them the right size and arranged them in the vase for me. She had other customers, was very pleasant, she helped them while I walked around and then completed my arrangement. The store has a great vibe and with service like that, this will be the first store I will visit for these types of things.
