To make matters... the employees are bringing stuff in making it more cramped. My bf and I look at the movies to buy but where they are set up is so cluttered with donations they keep bringing in that day. When I asked if we can move the donations or movies elsewhere, I was told in a rude tone..."where do you expect to put them?!?" I said how they should do the donations after the store closes (2pm) as it will be easier on the customers to shop. Again I was given a rude response, "you don't tell us how to run our business!" If they get donated any sense of organization and compassion my boyfriend and I will return. Till then, they won't be getting a penny from me. The money goes towards a program the church runs. Can't the church use its money to fund the programs? They make all that money yearly and pay 0 in taxes!

Everything in here was so unique and definitely had the handmade with love feel. So many great "quote" items. Honestly, slap an inspirational quote onto something, and I'm sold! A handful of the stuff was beach themed, but not super cheesy "glue a shell onto it" beach themed. This was more classy/nautical/designer beach themed and I can get down with that. Some of the items were a little pricey, but there seemed to be a wide range. I got some really cute gifts in here that were reasonably priced. I wanted to buy gifts for everyone I knew and then I wanted to buy everything else and decorate my house. But that would make me poor.

The quality of some of the shirts seems to be a level above the cheap shirts that some of the other stores on LBI are selling. Maybe that's why Chick's has been in business for so long. They had some good sale shirts on the rack outside the store. I got a cute tank-top on sale for $15. The woman employee who was working was super friendly and we had a nice chat with her. I wish I remembered her name. It's so important to have friendly employees when you own a business. If you want to sell things, people are more likely to buy from a store where they positively interact with a friendly employee. I'll definitely go back to Chick's the next time I'm in LBI. I recommend it. Check it out for all your t-shirt and sweatshirt needs!
