always loved their bowls but their BOOM BOOM TACOS are delicious!! and their a great price for a good meal! I work closer to other locations, but I drive farther to go to this location during the work week. the staff are awesome, very friendly and helpful - and they make the tacos better than the closer location. top staff serving top food, i eat here at least once a week read more

This establishment is a ripped off. A little plain meat and a lot of rice. A lot of money they want. I am never going back The service is terrible. The ambiance is boring. I hope they go out of business very soon. Adios amigo read more

There's no meat in this bowl for the price they charge, I literally just went home hungry

This is unreal There is literally no meat in this. This has to be the worst waba grill location I've ever been to. What am I supposed to do with this. Money is tight whatever. Just make your bowls smaller because this much rice feels like a slap in the face. read more

Came here expecting the same service I get at every Waba. That expectation was a disappointment. My order was served last from everyone who placed an order after mine. People had the same plate as me but they were given the order before me. Also they gave me less meat than other people I saw them make an order for. Also the lady cook was only wearing ONE glove ? Very unsatisfactory for cleanliness and processing orders correctly and efficiently. Won't be returning to this location. Im not even from this part of town. And this review is where it's left. read more

So to be honest I wasn't going to do this review because I felt bad doing it but I just had to! So let me start off by saying that when I got there the lady who was at the cashier looked really pissed off and asked my what I wanted in a snarky tone and then second I saw the same lady at the cashier blowing her nose ! While touching my food I asked her nicely if she could please wash her hands and she just brushed me off please don't go here you never know if the employees here are actually following the health code procedure read more

Waited a while to be seated. Then finally move into a booth but it sure takes a long time to service the customer and it was only 11:30a.m. on a Wednesday. So I finally order a green juice, and she told me it's going to be a while since she has to prepare it her self then I asked her "you are going to preparing it your service? " she said yes. So I see the issue her. I hope that owner/ manager realizes that you got the server/casher/ bartender/ cleaner/running all the tables, the person that seats the customers doing it all (can't remember what they are called) And that's really ridiculous I will definitely will not be returning back . You all forgotten what is customers service Is. read more

They have great tacos. I ordered the steak bowl and was disappointed because the meat to rice ratio was very unbalanced. There was way more rice than meat and when I asked to get more meat they were going to charge me $6 more. Very upset read more

The first impression is "TACOS," yes that's right. They advertise the new tacos they serve, but I wasn't there for that, I came in and ordered a chicken bowl to-go. The bowl itself was not bad, however the portion of the amount of chicken they serve you is so little. It seems like they are stingy with their meat. I would have to say if you're looking for a great chicken teriyaki bowl, go to Mos 2, you will not regret it. read more

I visited Waba Grill around noon on a Wednesday a while back, and while there were a few positive aspects, my overall experience was largely disappointing. First off, finding parking was a breeze as there was plenty available. The dining area is small and was empty when I got there, but I opted for takeout so that didn't pertain to me. The ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant were commendable. It felt well-maintained and welcoming despite its small size. The menu also offers a good variety. Customer service didn't particularly stand out. I placed my order and received it a little while later with no issues, but there was nothing exceptional about the interaction. As for the food, I ordered a chicken bowl and a steak bowl. I was quite upset with what we got for the price. Even after using a coupon, the bowls were filled mostly with rice and veggies, with very little protein. Considering the price, it didn't feel like good value for money due to the poor rice-to-meat ratio. On top of that, the taste was lacking so I had to add my own soy sauce to make it better. Overall, while there were some positives, the lack of value for money, mediocre customer service, and the need to enhance the flavor myself means I won't be coming back in the near future. read more

Just don't come last minute. We came last minute cuz it was the only WaBa open in the area. Ariana took our order but basically shooed us away to use the bathroom with an attitude for our order. Yes we were last minute, but it's no reason to deny service of the WaBa sauce and the bathrooms because you "just cleaned it up and are closing". Wasn't able to get dumplings, bathroom, or decent service just because they were closing.out a bad taste in my mouth for WaBa in general. Thanks for nothing to this location and "Ariana". read more

For 11$ the portion here is so small!! I wish they can understand that we need to eat too! I've been to a lot of other waba grills, and this place is the cheapest on their meat. read more

The employees at this location give very little meat, I think they need to be taught how to serve. The bowl is full of rice with very little meat. They also charge for boom boom sauce here when no other location does? I have order from here several times because it's closest to my home, but will no longer be coming here when other teriyaki places are priced the same with way more meat than what they give here. I thought I was the only one, but I saw that other people are saying the same thing about this location. I was even starting to think they think I don't eat much since I'm on the thinner side since every time I had gone there was very little meat on my bowl read more

The service here is no good. I ordered a sweet and spicy chicken rice bowl and majority of the whole bowl was rice with very little chicken in it. I took it back in and complained and the lady was rude and said do I want a refund. I got a refund and now it takes three days for the money to come back to my account. Here again read more

My last review expressed a lack of protein in my entree. I thought I would give it another shot because maybe last time was a one-off. Nope. $12 and I'm not exaggerating when I say there was less than 2 oz of chicken. I get off work late and I just want something healthy! And the food is good, but I'm still starving after 3 bites of chicken and 3 broccoli florets! I noticed that the person who plates the chicken is the one who cooks it and they clearly don't want to cook more so it's ridiculously skimpy. Also, there is never a manager on duty so who am I supposed to tell? Super bummed. Won't be back. read more

RIP OFF!!! Don't come here!! 16$ for a large drink and a bowl? And this is the type of meat ratio they give?? They are cutting meat ratios on meals, and over charging on their MENU!! I can see why its never busy! I will not be coming here! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT BUT FOR THIS MUCH ID RATHER GO TO mos or a support small business and go to your local teriyaki place!! Meat quality is way better read more

Food is always good. Love the brown rice and chicken but not a fa of the little containers for the pickled carrots.

Healthy food! It was sort of affordable. I was living in my car here in California, so i need a healthy option and did not want to eat at Mcdonald's or Carls Jr. every day. Waba Grill delivers that healthy variety for me. Avocados were fresh, chicken and steak were really good with the hot sauce and the teriyaki. Overall I love it and was my go-to for healthy eating! read more

Today I was helped by Karla, I was debating between regular chicken or sweet and spicy chicken bowl. She was so sweet and offered to let me taste the sauce before making my decision, she was so kind and helpful. Ordered online; food never delivered. Called the restaurant and they told me I had to contact DoorDash. Called DoorDash (took 20+ minutes, not happy with DoorDash either) and they tried to get the restaurant manager online since I ordered through WaBA website but no one would answer the phone. As I wrote this, I received a call from WaBu who tells me it will take 2-3 business days to issue a credit. What a ridiculous system. I won't order from WaBu nor use DoorDash again. Now I have to go find something to eat..... read more

Very low quantity of protein for the price. Especially that they fill the bowl with a garden of veggies but very little amount of chicken which looked about 3 oz or less. The food actually didn't taste bad. It just doesn't feed a grown man. read more

I would choose another location. There are others nearby. This one skimps on the chicken. I paid $11 for a bowl of rice and literally 10 little chunks of chicken. They tried to spread them out to make it look like more, but it was about half of what you get at other locations. read more

This would be the perfect WaBa, because the food is great and the place is a solid 8 out of 10 for cleanliness but your customer service is almost non existent. I wanted to try the rib plate to change it up from my regular beef bowl, but when I got to the register to place my order this young woman doesn't say hi or anything, she just stand there waiting for me to place my order. When I placed my order she leaves the register whiteout saying thanks or anything and she goes to the back to talk to one of her coworkers. For the time that I was there she seem to be angry and I just wonder if this is a personal issue of hers or the management is just awful and doesn't know how to keep the employees happy and focus. Whatever the reason is we as the customer don't have to be treated badly. Work on your CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Had previously cancelled a pick up order from this location and never received my money back. I had explained to the girl that I had made an online order through their website but for some reason she kept directing me to contact DoorDash. I had to explain this to her twice, which is fine maybe i was just confusing. She then let me know she had told her manager to cancel my order. I called the next day to verify that the manager received my cancellation. The same girl had verified that he had canceled it and that I would see my refund in 3 days. It's been over a week and I have yet to receive my refund. I called their store multiple times with no answer. Reached out to corporate, no answer. My last resort was disputing my transaction with my bank. Thanks for taking my money. read more

About a month or two ago, my niece dropped my PHONE behind the booth. This incident has stuck to me since it has happened and I am FOREVER grateful that this waba grill has NAYELLI (sorry if misspelled) as an employee. I'm so sure with how society is nowadays, no one would help out if this was to happen to anyone. NAYELLI definitely is the definition of faith in humanity restored. The booth isn't detachable, so there honestly is no way of getting my phone out unless we break the booth down. Nobody's arm is long enough to fit down the booth to grab the booth. I had an impatient 1.5 year old who was glued to my hips or if left in high chair, needed to be supervised while I try to fish my phone out. NAYELLI was trying her best to help out customers and at the same time, tried different ways to get my phone out. This went on for about 1.5 hours. Helping customers and helping me out. She brought out a bunch of different materials she can think of from the back so we can fish the phone out. At one point, she suggested buying a big magnet so we can use the magnet to attract the phone. I told her my credit card is inside my phone case. She OFFERED TO front me money to pay for it. She was doing all this for JUST A CUSTOMER that she doesn't even know. I tell this story to everyone and I definitely owe her so much. Eventually, we got a hold of a magnet, tied it around my lanyard and she was able to fish it out. One and a half hours later. That is dedication, great customer service, patience, helpfulness. She possessed every qualities of great customer service. I could've easily shrugged this off, but I really want NAYELLI to be recognized for what a great person she is. You can't find that nowadays. Not in California, and especially not in Santa Ana. Thank you so much for everything, NAYELLI. read more

First things first my boys love WaBa Grill, it's their go to anytime they want to go food. But this location in general has me going back to it every time my boys want a bowl! Reason why you may ask, their customer service is great, the moment I went in there I was welcomed with a Hello, how can I help you! I'm sure there was a beautiful smile behind that mask of that very nice employee! Sammy was very welcoming and super helpful while I ordered. Not to forget my boys really liked her because she nicely made them feel noticed and said hi to them. I was very happy to see they're employees out there that even notice our little ones when we walk in with them. I have returned there here and there and every time we go my boys say hi to Sammy. Well I recommend this location, may not be in the best area but their customer service makes up for it! read more

Excellent Catering Event 11-14-19 I ordered chicken, steak, veggies, white rice and salad for 50 people. Food was delivered on time, hot and it was absolutely wonderful.
